ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT-STERILIZED AND ILLUMINATING CASTER WHEEL SETS
20180272014 · 2018-09-27 · ·

A caster wheel assembly includes a swivel frame and a caster wheel rotatably coupled to the swivel frame via an axle. The swivel frame can include a rotatable shaft enabling rotation of the wheel and at least one light emitting diode (LED) disposed on a surface of the swivel frame to at least partially illuminate ambient surroundings. The LED may be an ultraviolet (UV) LED disposed on the surface of the swivel frame to interface a portion of the caster wheel thereby enabling UV light emitting from the LED to sterilize pathogens colonizing the caster wheel. The LED may be disposed on an external surface of the swivel frame to at least partially illuminate ambient surroundings. Upon an adjustable predetermined time or distance of motion, the wheel may be braked for ultraviolet light to sterilize pathogens colonizing the caster wheel and released following an adjustable predetermined time.

ENHANCED RACK/CABINET MOBILITY AND STABILITY FOR A SERVER RACK

A mobility apparatus. The mobility apparatus may include a continuous fixed-length rail attached horizontally to a bottom structural member of the front or the rear of a server rack. The continuous fixed-length rail exceeds a width of the server rack by an equal amount on either side of the server rack. The mobility apparatus also includes a lower rail portion attached to a lower edge of the continuous fixed-length rail; a raised rail portion attached to an extended length of each portion of the continuous fixed-length rail; and at least one wheel attached to an underside of each end of the extended length of the continuous fixed-length rail.

Mobile folding restaurant booth style bench

Mobile folding restaurant booth style benches are provided, which may be arranged in opposed pairs to form restaurant style booths. An individual bench incorporates a mechanism for shifting the weight of the bench between a mobile base, which may be supported by swivel casters, and a stationary base, which may be supported by non-slip feet, actuated by pivoting a bench seat down from a folded storage position to an unfolded seating position. The weight shifting mechanism may include an engagement member, which is initially spaced apart from an actuator at a folded angle of the seat, and which contacts and begins transmitting force and movement to the actuator at a partially unfolded angle of the seat. Preferably, the bench further includes a biasing component that biases the stationary base upward relative to the mobile base, a locking mechanism that resists a force provided by the biasing component to retain the bench seat in the unfolded seating position, contoured shells or other covers for the seat and a seat back, and a back panel extending vertically above the seat back.

Wheel unit and steering unit for conveying devices on wheels such as beds, stretchers or trolleys
09944313 · 2018-04-17 ·

A steering unit for conveying devices on wheels such as beds, stretchers or trolleys includes a wheel unit and a motor unit. The wheel unit includes a base structure and a wheel mounted on a supporting element to rotate about an axis. The supporting element is mounted on the base structure to rotate about an orientation axis. A transmission includes an inlet unit and outlet shaft. The inlet unit includes an engagement device to reversibly engage the inlet unit on a transmission unit of the motor unit. The outlet shaft is integral with the supporting element and defines the orientation axis. The transmission transforms an inlet motion of the inlet unit into an outlet rotation of the outlet shaft about the orientation axis. A motor includes a complementary engagement device operating with the engagement device for reversibly engaging the inlet unit on the transmission unit.

Caster wheel assembly

A caster wheel assembly includes a wheel mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis within a wheel carriage such that the wheel rotates about the horizontal axis with respect to the wheel carriage. The wheel carriage is positioned within a retention ring such that the wheel carriage can rotate about the vertical axis with respect to the retention ring. The wheel carriage also has an opening on the bottom surface such that the wheel can make contact with the ground. The horizontal axis about which the wheel rotates is offset from the vertical axis about which the wheel carriage rotates. An outer carriage may be included such that the outer carriage is positioned within the retention ring and the wheel carriage is positioned within the outer carriage. The outer carriage would be able to rotate about the vertical axis with respect to both the retention ring and the wheel carriage.

A caster structure has a screw hole formed at the middle of a carrying plate and provided for passing, screwing, and pressing a screw, and then screwing and pressing tightly with a nut, so that the installed screw has a smaller thickness to lower the center of gravity of an installed wheel in addition to giving a dual nut fixing effect. The caster has bearings which are mainly thrust bearings for bearing a relatively larger axial gravity to prevent the bearing from being damaged by gravity and the balls from falling out. The bearings are limited and positioned securely to prevent installation gaps and dusts, to maintain a flexible rotation of the caster.

Axle, in particular of a universal carrier frame

An axle in particular of a universal carrier frame, which includes an arm of the axle, a power drive unit, swivel drive units, swivel distribution systems, travel distribution systems. At one end of the arm of the axle, a front portal suspension of a front wheel is rotatably arranged. At the other end of the arm of the axle, a rear portal suspension of the rear wheel is rotatably arranged. The front portal suspension of the front wheel and the rear portal suspension of the rear wheel comprise an angular chain transmission comprising a drive shaft having a longitudinal axis, a driven shaft having a longitudinal axis, a link chain for connecting the drive shaft and the driven shaft, and a pulley angular system of the link chain to define the angle (a) between the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft and the longitudinal axis of the driven shaft.
