Patient Support Apparatus Having Central Dual Control System of Casters
20250312214 · 2025-10-09 · ·

A patient support apparatus having a central dual control system of casters with an actuating pedal. Two opposite casters are connected by a control shaft with hexagonal cross section. Both control shafts are mutually coupled via a connecting member to a linkage rod. A servomotor with a rack is coupled to the linkage rod. The servomotor is configured to change a position of the rack of the servomotor and thus change a position of the central dual control system of casters upon manual change of position of the actuating pedal and/or upon electrical activation of the servomotor to change a position of the actuating pedal to another position of the central dual control system of casters.

Caster wheel brake system
12434754 · 2025-10-07 · ·

A caster wheel brake system for a mobile support system such as a cart or other wheeled structure is operable to selectively secure caster wheels against rolling rotation. The system includes a caster wheel assembly and a braking mechanism mounted nearby. A pair of brake actuation inputs, such as handles or levers, can be secured to the cart and independently operated to rotate a rotator link, which in turn rotates a brake-actuating link. Rotation of the brake-actuating link deactivates the braking mechanism to allow rolling rotation of the caster wheels. Optionally, the operation of one of the handles to deactivate the braking mechanism has no effect on the other handle.

GRILL CARTS INCLUDING MODULAR BASE ASSEMBLIES

Grill carts including modular base assemblies are disclosed. An example base assembly for a cart of a grill includes a base and a base attachment. The base includes a groove. The base attachment is removably couplable to the base. The base attachment includes a tongue configured to be located within the groove of the base when the base attachment is coupled to the base.

Locking casters for surgical systems with sensing

A caster assembly that includes a caster wheel, a lock member, a pedal, and a position sensor. The lock member can engage the caster wheel. Movement of the pedal towards a depressed position can cause engagement of the lock member against the caster wheel to resist or prevent rotation of the caster wheel. Movement of the pedal towards a released position can separate the lock member from the caster wheel to permit rotation of the caster wheel. The position sensor can detect a position of the pedal.

MOBILE WHEEL STRUCTURE AND CART

This disclosure discloses a mobile wheel structure and a cart, including a connection assembly and a wheel assembly. The wheel assembly includes a mounting frame, a wheel, and a braking member. The mounting frame is pivotally connected to the connection assembly via a first pivot shaft, with a portion of the mounting frame connected to a wheel bearing, offsetting the wheel bearing from the axial direction of the first pivot shaft. The braking member is movably connected to the mounting frame, with both the braking member and the wheel bearing positioned on the same side of the first pivot shaft. This design simplifies the user's operation of the braking member to brake the wheel during cart usage.

Patient transport apparatus with motion dampening
12575983 · 2026-03-17 · ·

A patient transport apparatus is provided for use with a retainer of a transport vehicle. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a patient support surface to support a patient. An engagement member is coupled to the support structure and arranged to engage the retainer when unloading the patient transport apparatus from the transport vehicle. A dampener is operable in a standby state or a resistance state such that the dampener provides increased resistance to movement of the patient transport apparatus in the resistance state as compared to the standby state. The resistance state of the dampener is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a first direction and the standby state is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a second direction, opposite the first direction.

CASTER HAVING STATUS INDICATOR LIGHT
