FORMFITTING SECURING DEVICE FOR A ROLLER
A formfitting securing device for a roller has a rotation blocking engagement part which is biased into an engagement position by means of a first spring. The first spring exerts a bias onto the rotation-blocking engagement part both in the engaged position as well as in the nonengaged position, and a bias is achieved in the non-engaged position by acting on the rotation-blocking engagement part by means of a second spring.
Moveable and storable wardrobe
A wardrobe capable of being moved into and out of a hotel room, and into and out of a storage room, is disclosed. The wardrobe comprises a top, a bottom, two side walls, a back, and four wheels along the bottom, where the wardrobe would otherwise touch the floor. The wheels can optionally be lockable wheels. The wardrobe also includes a means for attachment to one or more walls in a room in which the wardrobe will be used. Suitable means for attachment include holes through which pins can be inserted, pins which fit into holes in a wall, Velcro or other hook and loop attachments, straps, ropes, magnets, clips, cotter pins, and the like. The wardrobe can optionally include one or more additional elements, including one or more doors, one or more drawers, shelves, closet rods, tie/belt racks, mirrors, cubby holes, a cover for the wheels, a safe, and crown, chair, and/or base molding.
Caster with braking device
The present disclosure relates to a caster, having a housing, having an axle pin which is arranged in a housing opening which is oriented substantially horizontally, and on which at least one wheel is mounted, having, at the top, a pin opening oriented substantially vertically, for receiving a pivot pin, and having a braking device which brakes the at least one wheel, wherein the housing opening for the axle pin allows limited vertical displaceability of the axle pin and the braking device comprises at least one resilient housing part which acts on the axle pin. In order to provide a mechanically reliable braking device, the braking device is additionally provided with at least one spring element which cooperates with the at least one resilient housing part and amplifies the effect of its braking force and/or increases the mechanical load-bearing capacity of the at least one resilient housing part.
Article movement systems, ball wheels and related apparatus and methods
An article movement system includes an article and at least one ball wheel. The article has first and second article surfaces meeting at a first article edge. The ball wheel is located along the first article edge and includes a ball, a bearing arrangement and a shell. The ball engages a surface underlying the article, the bearing arrangement supports the ball for omni-directional rotational movement, and the shell is located along the first article edge and contains the ball and the bearing arrangement. The shell defines a non-circular ball opening through which a portion of the ball extends to contact the underlying surface. The article, the bearing arrangement and the shell are configured such that the ball wheel is able to support the article for omni-directional rolling motion over the underlying surface with either of the first and article surfaces parallel thereto, and at any orientation therebetween.
Flip-top table for protection from projectiles
A flip-top table has a tabletop attached to a frame through a pivoting assembly. The tabletop is made from a ballistic-resistant material allowing it to be used as a ballistic shield when it rotates from its horizontal working position to a vertical shielding position. A front modesty panel is also ballistic-resistant and is mounted between the front legs of the frame. A lift speed restrictor is connected between the tabletop and the frame which prevents the user from lifting the tabletop too quickly which could topple the table, and it includes a biasing mechanism that provides a lifting force and helps to hold the tabletop in the shielding position. The table also includes visual indicators that readily indicate to persons around the table that the table can be converted into a ballistic shield. Casters allow one or more tables to be quickly moved and repositioned into a defensive arrangement.
Caster assembly with brake assembly having low actuation force
A caster assembly comprises a caster wheel having an outer surface. A wheel support is coupled to the wheel to support the wheel for rotation about a rotational axis and for swiveling about a swivel axis. A brake assembly comprises a brake having a cammed wheel engaging surface shaped to engage the outer surface of the wheel and a brake actuator to move the brake relative to the wheel from an unbraked position to a braked position in which the brake limits rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis. The cammed wheel engaging surface is arranged to articulate relative to the wheel support. The cammed wheel engaging surface articulates relative to the wheel support in response to the wheel rotating about the rotational axis after the brake is initially placed in the braked position such that the cammed wheel engaging surface more deeply engages the wheel with rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis.
Wheeled Stepladder Platform Apparatus
A wheeled stepladder platform apparatus for easily moving a stepladder includes a base frame having a left side, a right side, a back side, and a front side forming a rectangle and a crossmember extending from the back side to the front side in parallel opposition to the left side. Each of the left side, the right side, the back side, the front side, and the crossmember is L-shaped and has a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The base frame is configured to support a stepladder on the horizontal portion. The base frame comprises a back left section, a front left section, a back right section, a front right section, and a plurality of joiner sections joined with a plurality of hardware through a plurality of mounting apertures. A plurality of wheels is coupled to the base frame.
Shopping cart foot wheel capable of warning the abrasion status of the braking block
A shopping cart foot wheel capable of warning the abrasion status of the braking block comprising an escalator wheel assembly; the escalator wheel assembly comprises an escalator wheel core and escalator wheel discs; the escalator wheel discs are located on the two sides of the escalator wheel core, and are coaxially arranged with the escalator wheel core; the escalator wheel assembly further comprises an escalator wheel support, wherein the escalator wheel support is provided with an escalator wheel axle; locking nuts are simultaneously arranged at the two ends of the escalator wheel axle; the escalator wheel core is connected with the escalator wheel axle in a sleeved mode.
Driven caster wheel and assembly
A driven caster wheel assembly may include a wheel, an axle, a drive assembly, a drive shaft, and a bevel gear. The wheel may be mounted to the axle for rotation about a drive axis and steering about a substantially vertical steering axis. The drive shaft may extend along the steering axis from a first end to a second end, with the first end being connected to the axle and the second end being connected to the drive assembly such that the drive assembly controls rotation of the drive shaft about the steering axis. The bevel gear may connect the first end to the axle such that rotation of the drive shaft about the steering axis controls rotation of the wheel about the drive axis to drive the driven caster wheel assembly in a substantially horizontal direction. Various other assemblies and methods are also disclosed.
