Single electric motor drive axle with multiple ratios
An electric drive axle for a motor vehicle including an axle housing, an electric motor having an output shaft directly driven by a bevel pinion gear coupled thereto, a fixed ratio planetary gear arrangement, a differential unit including a differential gear arrangement housed within a differential case and a first clutch selectively operable to connect a portion of the planetary gear set to a stationary member of the drive axle so that the drive axle operates in a first gear ratio.
Rod-end suspension arm
A rod-end front suspension is provided for an off-road vehicle. The rod-end front suspension comprises a spindle assembly that is pivotally coupled with an upper suspension arm by way of a first rod-end joint and pivotally coupled with a lower suspension arm by way of a second rod-end joint. A steering rod-end joint coupled with the spindle assembly pivotally receives a steering rod. An axle assembly coupled with the spindle assembly conducts torque from a transaxle to a wheel coupled with the spindle assembly. Each of the first and second rod-end joints comprises a ball rotatably retained within a casing. The ball is fastened within a recess between parallel prongs extending from the spindle assembly. A threaded shank extending from the casing is threadably fixated with the suspension arm, such that the spindle assembly may be moved with respect to the casing and the suspension arm.
AXLE DIFFERENTIAL GUARD
A guard for protecting a drain plug and a ground-facing surface of an axle housing on a machine including a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a body configured to be mounted to the axle housing to protect at least portion of the ground-facing surface of the axle housing. The body includes an opening configured to allow access to and removal of the drain plug through the opening. The second portion is removably couplable to the first portion. When the second portion is attached to the first portion, the second portion covers the opening to protect the drain plug. When the second portion is removed, the drain plug is accessible and removable to service oil in the axle housing.
Weighted bed liner
A vehicle bed liner for providing additional weight to a vehicle includes a support layer including a base material having a thickness, where the thickness of the base material is substantially constant across the entirety of the base material, a weight-receiving compartment within the support layer, and a weight-storing article within the weight-receiving compartment adapted to receive a plurality of weight-providing articles, wherein the plurality of weight-providing articles are capable of being positioned in the weight-storing article to thereby provide additional weight to a vehicle.
AXLE ASSEMBLY FOR FRAME RAIL VEHICLES
An axle assembly for frame rail vehicles is described herein. The axle assembly includes a first axle shaft and a second axle shaft orientated along a first axis of rotation. A first electric machine is orientated along a second axis of rotation and a second electric machine is spaced from the first electric machine and orientated along a third axis of rotation. A differential gear set is disposed about the first axis of rotation and is coupled to and driven by a common gear reduction to transfer rotational torque from the first and second electric machines to the first and second axle shafts. A speed change mechanism is coupled between the common gear reduction and the differential gear set to change the rotational torque transferred to the first and second axle shafts.
WHEEL END ASSEMBLY
A wheel end assembly that includes a hub, a hub cap, first and second spider retainers, and a spider having a spider shaft. The hub and the hub cap cooperate to define an internal cavity. The first and second spider retainers are disposed in the internal cavity and cooperate to define a spider shaft hole. The spider shaft is received in the spider shaft hole.
AXLE COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An axle cooling system for a vehicle that has a first axle hydraulic circuit that passes through a first axle assembly, a second axle hydraulic circuit that passes through a second axle assembly, a first pump that circulates axle oil through the first axle hydraulic circuit, a second pump that circulates axle oil through the second axle hydraulic circuit, a first temperature sensor that monitors a first axle temperature of the first axle assembly, and a second temperature sensor that monitors a second axle temperature of the second axle assembly. The first pump and the second pump are independently controlled from one another to circulate axle oil through the corresponding first or second axle hydraulic circuit.
DRIVE AXLE FOR AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN WORK MACHINE
A drive axle for a work machine for driving wheels that are coupled to the drive axle. The drive axle includes a spur gear stage with an input shaft. A differential gear unit couples to the spur gear stage and to the wheels via wheel drive shafts. The drive axle further includes a reduction gear unit with an output element couples to the input shaft of the spur gear stageand an input element which couples to an output shaft of an electric drive machine.
VEHICLE AXLE ASSEMBLY
An axle assembly for a vehicle includes a frame, a motor, and a pair of gear reduction subassemblies. The frame extends between a first distal end and a second distal end. The second distal end opposes the first distal end. The motor is secured to the frame between the first distal end and the second distal end. The pair of gear reduction subassemblies are rotatably coupled to the first distal end and the second distal end and configured to drive rotation from the motor to a pair of wheels. Each gear reduction subassembly includes a plurality of gears defining a plurality of gear ratios.
