Methods and systems are provided for drivetrain of a vehicle. In one example, the drivetrain includes an axle shaft with a radial nub and a shaft guide surrounding the axle shaft. The shaft guide may have an inner radial groove configured to have an interference fit with the radial nub. When the axle shaft is axially translated along an axial direction to engage the radial nub with the inner radial groove of the shaft guide, the axle shaft may be disconnected from a wheel hub of the vehicle.

ROTATING DEVICE MODULE FOR A TOY
20170203222 · 2017-07-20 ·

A rotating device module for a toy has an axle component, which provides a rotation axis of the rotating device module. A hub part is connected to the axle component. A disc part can be screwed by means of a threaded connection to the hub part, said connection being torque proof. The hub part has an external thread of the threaded connection. The disc part has an internal thread of the threaded connection complementary to the external thread. The result is a removable rotating device module which is designed to increase play value and can be made at low cost and assembled with little effort.

Electric wheelchair with quick-release drive wheels
09687397 · 2017-06-27 ·

An electric wheelchair with quick-release drive wheels includes: a chassis, and two guide wheels and two said drive wheels. The drive wheels are rotated by a drive mechanism and connected to the drive mechanism by a quick-release mechanism. To detach the drive wheel, the user can press the cover to make the rolling balls move out of the receiving groove and back to the arc-shaped engaging portion, which allows the hollow shaft to disengage from the drive shaft. Then, keeping pressing the cover can detach the drive wheel from the drive mechanism. To assemble the drive wheel, the user can press the hollow shaft into the axial hole to make the rolling balls engage in the receiving groove, so that the drive wheel is assembled to the drive mechanism. The assembly and disassembly of the drive wheel require no wrenches or other tools, and therefore are very convenient.

Pool cleaning device with wheel drive assemblies

A drive system for a pool cleaner is disclosed, the drive system including a motor operatively connected relative to an axle for driving rotation of the axle. The axel in turn is connected to and drives the rotation of (i) a roller assembly including a roller for cleaning a target surface and (ii) a wheel drive assembly engaged with an idler gear for driving a wheel. Notably the axis of rotation of the roller assembly is different than the axis of rotation of the wheel. Thus, the wheel drive assembly may drive the wheel by interacting with a surface of a cylindrical flange of the wheel.

Rotational lock in inner ring of outboard bearing to avoid lock washer

A wheel end assembly for a vehicle, comprising a central wheel support member such as a spindle or a steering knuckle, and an outboard wheel end bearing arranged concentrically around the central wheel support member. The outboard wheel end bearing comprises roller elements accommodated between an inner race-forming part and an outer race-forming part surrounding the inner race-forming part. The inner race-forming part is configured to be supported by the central wheel support member. The central wheel support member comprises a first rotational lock portion. The inner race-forming part comprises a second rotational lock portion configured to engage with the first rotational lock portion to prevent the inner race-forming part from rotating relative to the central wheel support member. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a wheel end assembly.
