VEHICLE WHEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE VEHICLE WHEEL
A vehicle wheel includes: a pair of rail members configured as separate members from the rim and fixed to an outer circumferential surface of a well portion of a rim of a wheel; and a sub air chamber member serving as a Helmholtz resonator and disposed between and supported by the rail members. A method of manufacturing the vehicle wheel is also provided. The method includes the steps of: fixing the pair of rail members to the outer circumferential surface of the well portion; and attaching the sub air chamber member to the well portion through the pair of rail members such that the sub air chamber member is supported between the pair of rail members, wherein the rail member fixing step includes fixing the pair of rail members using a jig with the rail members spaced apart by the predetermined distance.
VEHICLE WHEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE VEHICLE WHEEL
A vehicle wheel includes: a pair of rail members configured as separate members from the rim and fixed to an outer circumferential surface of a well portion of a rim; and a sub air chamber member serving as a Helmholtz resonator and disposed between and supported by the rail members. A distance between the pair of rail members in a wheel width direction becomes gradually narrower from the outer circumferential surface of the well portion toward outside in a wheel radial direction that is orthogonal to the wheel width direction. Further, the pair of rail members have inner surfaces located to face the outer circumferential surface in the wheel radial direction, and the sub air chamber member has a contour to conform with the inner surfaces of the pair of rail members.
Bead lock systems and methods
Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods for a bead lock wheel line in scaled vehicles. The bead lock wheel line may include a wheel center section and a bead lock ring. The bead lock ring may be configured to be overlaid on the wheel center section, wherein screws may be inserted through orifices positioned within the bead lock ring and into orifices positioned on the wheel center section.
Wheel made out of a fiber reinforced plastic material
A wheel includes a rim and a wheel center with several spokes with at least one butt strap. The at least one butt strap protrudes from a radially outer end of the spokes. The rim includes at least one opening arranged corresponding to the at least one butt strap. The at least one butt strap extends across the related opening in the rim and is attached to the outside of the rim.
METHOD OF MOUNTING A NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE ONTO A HUB
A method of mounting a non-pneumatic tire (102) onto a hub (300) to provide a non-pneumatic wheel (100). Certain portions of spokes (106) of the non-pneumatic tire (102) are connected to grooves (318) along the hub (300). The tire (102) is repeatedly rotated and deformed to allow the remaining portions of the spokes (106) to be connected with the grooves (318) in order to fully mount the non-pneumatic tire (102) onto the hub (300).
Method for producing a wheel rim with a rim base of fiber composite material
The invention relates to a method for producing a wheel rim having a rim base of a fiber composite material. The problem to be solved by the invention is that of improving the production of the wheel rim, and especially to ensure a reliably functioning wheel structure which can be achieved with little financial and technical outlay. The problem is solved in that during the production of the rim base (2) a connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51) is joined to the rim base (2), said connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51) being designed and arranged in such a way that a wheel disc (4, 14, 22, 36, 45) can be connected to said connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51).
Wheel rim with a rim base made of fiber composite material and method of manufacture
The invention relates to a wheel rim having a rim base (3) of fiber composite material and a wheel disk (2) connected to the rim base (3) in a radial marginal section. The radial marginal section of the wheel disk (2) comprises at least two partial layers (4, 5) on each of which a contoured joining zone (6, 7) which extends substantially axially is formed, the joining zone being flat connected to the rim base (3).
Method for the production of a vehicle wheel with a connection between a wheel rim and a wheel disc
Disclosed is a method for producing a vehicle wheel with a connection between a wheel rim and a wheel disc in which the wheel disc is connected to the wheel rim by means of at least one connecting element that is guided through a through-hole of the rim base and is joined in the wheel disc. After the joining of the connecting element in the wheel disc a portion of the head of the connecting element projects beyond the rim base on the outer side of the rim. Subsequently the head of the connecting element is at least partially removed.
Vehicle wheel and method for producing a vehicle wheel
A vehicle wheel for motor vehicles may include a wheel-rim ring with an opening, a main member positioned at least partially in the opening of the wheel-rim ring, and a covering shell for at least partially covering the main member. The main member may include an attachment region with receptacles for attaching the main member and the wheel-rim ring to a vehicle. The wheel is configured to have a low weight and an adequate stiffness. Moreover, the wheel also exhibits a secure attachment and no pre-load losses while permitting a high degree of design flexibility. In some examples, the attachment region of the main member is free from the covering shell by way of, for example, a cut-out in the covering shell.
Bearing device for vehicle wheel
A bearing device for a vehicle wheel (1) includes: an outer ring (2), serving as an outer member; an inner member in which the inner member including a hub ring (3) that has an integral wheel mounting flange (3B) to which a wheel is mounted, and at least one inner ring (4) that is press-fitted to a small-diameter step part (3A) of the hub ring; ball rows (5) that are accommodated in a freely rolling manner; and a bottomed-tube-shaped cover (11) fitted to an inner-side opening (2B) of the outer member. In order to retain grease enclosed between the outer member and the inner member near the ball rows, an outside damming member (11D), which is formed of a ring-shaped elastic body extending radially inward, is provided at a side (11A) of the cover.
