The invention relates to aA rubber composition has an improved rolling resistance and is based on at least a diene elastomer comprising mainly at least one isoprene elastomer; a reinforcing filler comprising from 10 to 35 phr of carbon black having a BET specific surface area of less than 70 m.sup.2/g, and from 10 to 40 phr of silica; a coupling agent in a content corresponding to a range extending from 5 to 15% by weight relative to the weight of silica; and a crosslinking system; in which composition the total content of carbon black and silica is between 20 and 70 phr, and in which the carbon black to silica weight ratio is greater than 0.3.

According to a tire comprising a CFRP comprising a matrix resin and a carbon fiber, in which the matrix resin comprises a resin component comprising 20 to 80% by mass of an epoxy resin and 20 to 80% by mass of a functional group-modified acrylonitrile butadiene copolymer, it is possible to provide a tire which is lightened while maintaining the strength of a tire with a steel cord and/or a bead wire.

A tire for a motor vehicle having at least one carcass ply comprised of a crown portion and two axially opposite side portions terminating in beads for mounting the tire on a rim. A tread band and a belt structure are interposed between the carcass structure and the bead. Each bead includes on elongated cord comprised of a first yarn, such as aramid, having a melting or decomposition point T.sub.1, and a second yarn, such as nylon, having a melting point T.sub.2, wherein T.sub.1>T.sub.2, and T.sub.2 is greater than 40 C.

Provided are a rubber composition for outer layers of tires with which it is possible to reduce the amount of phosphorus used, and further to improve initial grip performance and grip performance during the middle phase of running while maintaining or improving good abrasion resistance, thereby achieving a balanced improvement in these properties, and a pneumatic tire formed from the rubber composition. The present invention relates to a rubber composition for outer layers of tires, containing a rubber component, a plasticizer, a resin having a softening point of 30 C. or higher, and sulfur, the plasticizer including an aliphatic polybasic acid ester having a freezing point of 50 to 10 C., the rubber composition containing, per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, 0.5 to 50 parts by mass of the aliphatic polybasic acid ester and 2 parts by mass or more of the resin.

Rubber composition for tires, and pneumatic tire
The present invention provides a rubber composition for tires which can improve crack resistance, ozone resistance, discoloration resistance, and tire appearance while maintaining a good balance between them, and also provides a pneumatic tire formed from the rubber composition. The present invention relates to a rubber composition for tires, containing a rubber component having a combined content of polybutadiene rubber, natural rubber, and polyisoprene rubber of 80% by mass or more per 100% by mass of the rubber component, the rubber composition containing, per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component: 0.1 to 8.0 parts by mass of polyether (A) having a glycol ether content of 80% by mass or more and a HLB of 3.5 to 19.0, the polyether (A) excluding Pluronic nonionic surfactants; 2 to 70 parts by mass of carbon black; and 0.3 to 7.0 parts by mass of an antioxidant.
METAL-RESIN COMPOSITE MEMBER FOR TIRE, AND TIRE
A metal-resin composite member for a tire, comprising plural metal cords that are positioned alongside each other, an adhesive layer that is disposed on the metal cords, and a resin layer that is disposed on the adhesive layer, the metal-resin composite member satisfying at least one of the following (1) or (2): (1) the adhesive layer is independently disposed on each of the plural metal cords, and at least one of the adhesive layers has a cross-sectional shape that has a projecting portion; (2) the adhesive layer is integrally disposed on all of the plural metal cords, and a region consisting of the metal cords and the adhesive layer has a cross-sectional shape that has, between the metal cords, a portion that is narrower in width than a portion at which the metal cords are disposed.
Natural rubber compounds with silica and use with tires
A rubber composition including guayule rubber and 15 to 90 phr silica. The rubber can be cis-1,4 polyisoprene and include 15 to 90 phr silica and contain less than 20% of the proteins associated with Hevea rubber and further include at least a trace of resins present in other natural rubbers. The rubber can be cis-1,4 polyisoprene and further include between at least a trace and 3% by weight of resins present in guayule rubber. The rubber composition can further be comprised of a synthetic rubber and include between about 40-100 phr of guayule rubber, and silica. The silica can be hydrophobated.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
The present invention discloses a pneumatic tire.
The pneumatic tire includes a bead portion and a rim flange provided outside the bead portion. The rim flange is made of a rubber resistant to ozone and fatigue and a hardness reinforcing rubber portion is interposed between the rim flange and the bead portion. The pneumatic tire of the present invention avoids a change in the physical properties of the flange rubber, ozone cracks caused by ozone present in the air, and fatigue cracks caused by frequent flexion and extension to achieve improved handling stability and straight ahead ability.
RUBBER COMPOSITION WITH LONGER LASTING ANTIOZONATION
A rubber composition having improved antiozonation performance comprising a substituted hydroxyl-phenyl-p-(hydroxy)phenylenediamine. Such a composition is particularly suitable for rubber articles. The improved rubber composition possesses a long lasting antiozonation performance, slowing migration through the rubber article and reducing effluence of the antiozonant. Such rubber articles may include rubber pneumatic tires, solid tires, non-pneumatic tires, belts, hoses, cables, automotive mounts, bushings and general mechanic products that are exposed to continuous and intermittent dynamic operation conditions and require protection from ozonation.
