SHEAR BAND HAVING ULTRA-LOW HYSTERESIS RUBBER
A shear band that may be used e.g., in a non-pneumatic tire is provided. The shear band uses interlaced reinforcing elements positioned within a shear layer of elastomeric material. A variety of configurations may be used to create the interlaced positioning of the reinforcing elements including e.g., a horizontal diamond or vertical diamond configuration. The shear layer formed from a rubber composition having a very low hysteresis.
SOLID TIRE PROVIDED WITH MEANS FOR SIGNALLING THE STATE OF EXCESSIVE WEAR
A solid tire (4; 8) is described comprising two or more circular layers overlapped in a radial direction. At least the outermost layer is made of elastic material and consists of an external portion or tread (16). The solid tire (4; 8) furthermore comprises at least one layer for indicating excessive wear (10), arranged in a predefined position inside the outermost portion or tread (16). The layer for indicating excessive wear (10) is made in a colour different from the one of the external portion or tread (16). The layer for indicating excessive wear (10) is made with a specific compound of materials. This specific compound of materials makes the layer for indicating excessive wear (10) easy to see. This specific compound of materials also makes the solid tire (4; 8) less hysteretic, and therefore less subject to the development of heat, when compared to similar solid tires.
Non-pneumatic tire comprising polyurethane matrix and expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles
A non-pneumatic tire may include a polyurethane matrix and expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles. The non-pneumatic tire has 60 to 90 wt. % of the polyurethane matrix and 10 to 40 wt. % of the expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles. The non-pneumatic tire may be produced in a production method. The non-pneumatic tire may be used in a low-speed vehicle.

NONPNEUMATIC TIRE
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a non-pneumatic tire having a small temperature dependence of ride comfort, providing a good ride comfort over a wide temperature range, and having an excellent durability.
A solution thereto is a non-pneumatic tire (1) using a resin composition for a framework member, the resin composition having a bending modulus of elasticity at 20 C. according to ISO 178 of 1600 MPa or less, and a bending modulus of elasticity at 60 C. according to ISO 178 of 150 MPa or more.
Aminosilane initiators and functionalized polymers prepared therefrom
Metallated aminosilane compounds for use as functional initiators in anionic polymerizations and processes for producing an aminosilane-functionalized polymer using the metallated aminosilane compounds to initiate anionic polymerization of at least one type of anionically polymerizable monomer. Preferred use of the metallated aminosilane compounds results in rubber compositions for use in tires comprising an aminosilane functionalized polymer.
POLYURETHANE GAUGE WHEEL TIRE
A disclosed example embodiment of a gauge wheel tire includes a first polyurethane sidewall portion, a second polyurethane sidewall portion, a polyurethane ground-engaging portion, and a polyurethane axial support portion. The first polyurethane sidewall portion is spaced apart from the second polyurethane sidewall portion, and the polyurethane ground-engaging portion extends from the first polyurethane sidewall portion to the second polyurethane sidewall portion and is adapted to contact a ground surface as the gauge wheel tire rotates about an axis of rotation. The polyurethane axial support portion extends from the first polyurethane sidewall portion to the second polyurethane sidewall portion, and is spaced apart from the polyurethane ground-engaging portion to form a gap that allows radial movement of the polyurethane ground-engaging portion relative to the polyurethane axial support portion.
