A water bearing household appliance (1) includes: a treating chamber (6) in which one or more items (7) can be loaded and treated with water and one or more additives; a logic unit (12) to control the electric and/or electronic components of the appliance (1) so as to make the latter to perform a treating cycle for treating the one or more loaded items (7) with water and one or more additives; a load amount acquiring device (13) for acquiring and communicating to the logic unit (12) information related to the amount of the one or more items (7) loaded in the treating chamber (6); and a user interface (14) configured for allowing a user to set parameters related to the treating cycle and to the one or more additives to be used during the treating cycle. The logic unit (12) is configured to: store, during a programming state, additive information set by the user via the user interface (14), the additive information comprising one or more numeric values which are indicative of predetermined maximum amount of additive associated with the maximum loading capacity of the treating chamber; before the appliance (1) starts a selected treating cycle, determine an amount of a selected additive to be loaded for this selected treating cycle, based on the programmed maximum amount of additive associated with the selected additive, on the acquired amount of the one or more items (7) loaded in the treating chamber (6), and on the selected treating cycle; and provide the user with information related to the determined amount of additive to be loaded via the user interface (14).
DISHWASHER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A dishwasher and a controlling method thereof are provided. The dishwasher according to an embodiment includes a display, a user interface, memory storing at least one instruction, and one or more processors configured to execute the at least one instruction, and the one or more processors are configured to, based on the dishwasher being turned on, control the display to display a first GUI corresponding to at least one dishwashing course, based on a user input for selecting a dishwashing course being received through the user interface, control the display to display a second GUI including an animation effect that indicates dish loading information corresponding to the selected dishwashing course, based on a dishwashing operation being started based on the selected dishwashing course, control the display to display a third GUI indicating the dishwashing course and dishwashing time.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE AND WINTERIZATION OPERATION FOR A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
A dishwasher appliance connected to a water supply circuit includes a tub defining a wash chamber; a pump in fluid communication with the wash chamber; a user interface comprising at least one input; and a controller operably coupled with the user interface and the pump, the controller being configured to perform a winterization operation. The winterization operation includes determining that a municipal water source has been disconnected from the water supply circuit; supplying a volume of water to the wash chamber after determining that the municipal water source has been disconnected; determining that the volume of water within the wash chamber is greater than a predetermined minimum volume of water; circulating, via the pump, the volume of water within the wash chamber for a predetermined length of time; and draining the volume of water from the wash chamber after circulating the volume of water for the predetermined length of time.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE DISHWASHER
A dishwasher includes: a tub, a water storage chamber provided under the tub and configured to store water from inside the tub, a filter disposed in the water storage chamber and configured to filter water flowing into the water storage chamber, a drain pump configured to discharge the water accommodated in the water storage chamber to the outside, and a controller including at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry. The controller may be configured to control the drain pump to discharge the water accommodated in the water storage chamber to the outside based on the lapse of a specified soaking time after completion of a water supply operation or a jet operation.
Systems and methods for performing a sous-vide cooking cycle in a dishwasher appliance
A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber, a pump configured to deliver a liquid into the wash chamber, a spray assembly provided within the wash chamber, conduit in fluid communication with the spray assembly, a rack slidably provided within the wash chamber, container attached to the rack and in fluid communication with the conduit, and a controller in communication with the pump and the spray assembly. The controller is configured to perform a series of operations, including determining that a cooking operation has been input to the dishwashing appliance, activating the pump to supply the liquid to the container at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined amount of time such that an amount of liquid within the container is above a first predetermined amount, and deactivating the pump after the predetermined amount of time.
DISHWASHER
The present invention relates to a dishwasher, which allows a washing course to be changed to a low-noise course in real time with a simple operation by using a user terminal while the dishwasher is running, and to a method for controlling a washing course of the dishwasher. The dishwasher, according to embodiments of the present invention, may comprise: an input unit that receives a course change signal commanding to change to a low-noise course having a noise level lower than a noise level of a washing course; a storage unit storing, as data, the speed of a washing motor of the low-noise course corresponding to each washing stage of the washing course; and a control unit that, when the course change signal is input, recognizes the washing stage of the washing course, changes to the speed of the washing motor of the low-noise course corresponding to the recognized washing stage, and controls the washing stage of the low-noise course.
Terminal device, dishwasher, terminal device control method, and dishwasher control method
A dishwasher and a terminal device which creates a washing course to serve a purpose of use based on a user input and provides at least an expected amount of power to be supplied and an expected amount of water to be supplied for the created washing course. The terminal device includes a display for displaying an operating condition of a default washing course of the dishwasher; an input for receiving a command to change the operating condition from a user; and a controller for controlling the display to display at least one of an expected amount of power to be supplied, an expected amount of water to be supplied, and an expected time, which is changed according to a user-set washing course in response to the command received to change the operating condition of the default washing course.
