SYSTEM HAVING A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A system includes water-bearing household appliance which includes a controller apparatus for executing a treatment program from a plurality of treatment programs, with each of the treatment programs being defined by program parameters. A memory device stores treatment programs in the form of a N-dimensional matrix, with the treatment programs being associated with matrix elements of the matrix respectively. Each matrix element is determinable by a respective one of defined N-dimensional input vectors. An input captures a user input to change a program parameter, and a selection unit selects one of the defined N-dimensional input vectors as a function of the captured user input, with a determining unit determining a matrix element from the matrix as a function of the selected input vector. The controller apparatus carries out the treatment program associated with the determined matrix element.
Method and an appliance for washing and rinsing goods sensitive to temperature changes
Provided are a method performed by an appliance for washing and rinsing goods, where some of the goods loaded into the appliance are sensitive to process water temperature changes, and an appliance performing the method. The method may include receiving via a user interface, an instruction that an appliance, during execution of a general-type washing program, should take into account that goods sensitive to temperature changes are loaded into the appliance, measuring a temperature value in a washing compartment of the appliance upon executing a draining process, and supplying fresh water to the washing compartment of the appliance. The method may include measuring, when the fresh water has been supplied, whether the process water being accommodated in a sump of the appliance is at a target temperature value or not and if not adjusting the temperature of the process water in the sump to attain the target temperature value.
METHOD FOR REMOVING STAINS DURING A CLEANING CYCLE OF A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A method for removing stains, in particular tea stains, during a cleaning cycle of a household appliance, such as a dishwashing machine. The cleaning cycle comprises at least a main wash cycle. A cleaning agent is released during the main wash cycle when the temperature inside the household appliance during the main wash cycle exceeds a predetermined temperature threshold, the threshold being higher than about 40° C., for example higher than about 55° C.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF INDICATING OPERATIONAL INFORMATION FOR A BULK DISPENSING SYSTEM
A laundry treating appliance having a treating chamber and a bulk dispenser and a user interface configured to provide an indication to the user related to the bulk chemistry dispenser and a controller coupled with the user interface and the bulk treating chemistry dispenser and configured to execute an operating cycle including controlling the treating chemistry meter to dispense the predetermined amount of treating chemistry and determine a number of doses of treating chemistry available in the bulk treating chemistry dispenser and method of determining the number of doses and the types of a treating chemistry available in the bulk dispensing system, and providing an indication of the determination on a user interface.
Quick-wash feature for dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance including a quick-wash feature. A secondary door attached is attached to a main door and forms a quick-wash compartment. A quick-wash assembly provides fluid for cleaning. Articles may be supported on the secondary door during cleaning or may be manually supported by the user at the quick-wash assembly. Various modes of operation may be used for cleaning including wash and rinse functions.
DISHWASHER WITH HUMIDIFIER CYCLE OF OPERATION
A method and apparatus for operating a dishwasher as a humidifier. The method includes, in response to an input indicating a humidifying cycle of operation, implementing the humidifying cycle of operation. The humidifying cycle of operation can include generating moisture-laden air within a treating chamber of the dishwasher and emitting the generated moisture-laden air to an exterior surrounding the dishwasher. The dishwasher implementing the humidifying cycle of operation or the dish treating cycle of operation, where the humidifying cycle and the dish treating cycle are not simultaneously implemented.
DISHWASHER WITH HIGH-VELOCITY SPRAYER
A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack received within the treating chamber and configured for receiving dishes for treatment during the cycle of operation, a sprayer located within the treating chamber and above the dish rack, and emitting a liquid onto the dish rack to form a high-speed spray.
Dishwasher with high-velocity sprayer
A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack received within the treating chamber and configured for receiving dishes for treatment during the cycle of operation, a sprayer located within the treating chamber and above the dish rack, and emitting a second liquid at a second speed, greater than the first speed, downwardly onto the dish rack to form a high-speed spray.
CHEMICAL DOSING SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a chemical dosing system for an appliance, such as a laundry washing machine or a dishwashing machine, having a water inlet, the system comprising a meter for determining the volume of water supplied to the appliance, a pump for dispensing a quantity of a chemical to the appliance and a control unit arranged to receive a signal from the meter and to cause to be dispensed to the appliance a volume of chemical that is proportional to the quantity of water supplied to the appliance. The disclosed system may enable a correct quantity of chemical to be automatically dispensed to many types of appliance, without the need to know anything about the appliance, or to derive electrical signal from the appliance.
