MULTI-CHAMBERED WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR RAPID TIRE INFLATION
A multi-chambered wheel assembly may include a wheel rim and a tire mounted on the wheel rim. The tire and the wheel rim may define an interior chamber. A divider wall may be disposed in the interior chamber. The divider wall may define a fill chamber and a gas cavity. A gas valve may be communicated with the gas cavity. The gas valve may be configured to allow pressurized gas to be introduced into the gas cavity. A fill valve may be communicated with the fill chamber. The fill valve may be configured to allow fill material to be introduced into the fill chamber.
METHODS OF REDUCING OXYGEN IN TIRE AIR CHAMBERS, COMPOSITIONS AND ASSEMBLIES RELATED THERETO
Methods of reducing oxygen in tire air chambers are disclosed herein. Compositions for reducing oxygen in tire air chambers are disclosed herein. Wheel assemblies including compositions for reducing oxygen in tire air chambers are disclosed herein.
PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH INTEGRATED ENVELOPE
The present invention provides a pneumatic tire (100) with integrated envelope comprising, a tread (1), a belt system (2), and a tire casing (3), wherein said tire casing (3) comprises a side wall (4), a bead (5), a plurality of layer including but not limited to a carcass ply (6) acting as a top layer, an inner liner (7) acting as bottom layer and an envelope (8) that is sandwiched between said carcass ply (6) and the inner liner (7), said envelope (8) is injected with a fluid inside said tire casing (3) in which said tire casing (3) is pasted on said belt system (2) and said belt system (2) is pasted on said tread (1) in said pneumatic tire (100) and said side wall (4) protects said tire casing (3).
Tire enhancement product, package and method
A tire-enhancement product has a container comprising a dissolvable packaging material; and a solute encased in the container that is inert to the solute. The container is configured to be placed in an interior volume of a tire, to which solvent can be added. The container is configured to dissolve when placed in a predetermined solvent, and the solute is configured to mix with the solvent to form a tire-enhancement mixture.
Tyre balancing compositions
The invention relates to tire balancing compositions having improved balancing properties comprise a visco-plastic gel and solid bodies having an average smallest dimension in the range of 0.5-5 mm; preferably 1-4 mm, more preferably around 3 mm. When applied in a layer to the inside of a motor vehicle tire, the compositions act by allowing the solid bodies move through the gel and to concentrate in areas to counteract imbalances. The solid bodies preferably have an average ratio between their smallest and their largest dimension of 2, more preferably 1.5, especially around 1. The visco-plastic gel preferably has a storage modulus (G) between 1000 Pa and 25000 Pa at 22 C., a loss modulus (G) smaller than the storage modulus, and a critical yield stress above 3 Pa at 22 C. The bodies may be shaped as prolate or oblate ellipsoids, cylinders, rectangular paralleipipeds, or spheres, or mixtures of such bodies; they may have an apparent specific gravity in the range of 500-3000 kg/m.sup.3, preferably 600-2000 kg/m.sup.3, in particular 700-1000 kg/m.sup.3, especially 800-900 kg/m.sup.3; they may be made from polyolefins, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, rubber or glass. The weight ratio between the solid bodies and the gel is from 10:1 to 1:10, preferably from 5:1 to 1:5, in particular from 2:1 to 3:1, such as from 1:1 to 1:2. The invention further concerns a tire balancing kit and a method for balancing automobile wheel assemblies.
VALVE FOR TUBELESS TIRES
The invention is directed to a valve stem system (1) for tubeless wheels. The valve stem system (1) includes a valve stem body (2) with a first end (3) and a second end (4), wherein the second end (4) is located in a tire/rim-volume when mounted at the wheel. A first valve element (5) is arranged at the second end (4) of the valve stem body (2). The first valve element (5) is a self-sealing one-way valve. The invention further concerns a probe (30) for a valve stem system, a method to test the amount of sealant in a wheel and a refilling assembly (80) for a wheel.
Exercise tire
A replacement exercise bike tire that will emulate the ride characteristics and effort of a conventional bike tire that is partially deflated. The increased roll resistance imparted by the exercise tire will enhance the bike rider's workout by imparting greater pedal effort required to ride. Multiple interconnected compartments within the tire body are filled with a high viscosity material that will displace under load as the tire rotates during use emulating a flat tire.
Tubeless tire device and kit
The present invention relates to a device for mounting tubeless tire comprising an elongated balloon having an opening attached to a bicycle tire valve. The balloon is fabricated from latex or any other suitable elastic material, and is filled with a tire sealant composition. Further, the ballon is designed to burst at a pressure of 15-40 psi.
