TIRE
A tire including a tire frame member, a reinforcing layer, and projections. The tire frame member is circular and is formed from a resin material, and includes a bead portion, a side portion, and a crown portion. The reinforcing layer is provided at a tire radial direction outer side of the crown portion, and comprises a reinforcing cord extending in a direction intersecting the tire width direction, the reinforcing cord being covered by rubber. The projections are respectively formed at both tire width direction sides of the crown portion such that the reinforcing layer is interposed between the projections. Each projection projects toward the tire radial direction outer side, and includes a projection wall face contacted by a side face of the reinforcing layer at the tire width direction inner side of the projection.
TIRE WITH TENSIONED SPOKES
A nonpneumatic tire includes an upper ring and a plurality of spokes extending from the upper ring. At least one reinforcement embedded in each spoke, wherein each reinforcement is constructed of a material that shrinks in length by 0.1% to 10% when subjected to a temperature between 38 C. to 260 C. and a pressure between 0.10 mPa to 0.70 mPa.
Tire
A tire includes: a ring shaped tire frame member that is made of a resin with plural tire pieces joined along a tire circumferential direction; a joint portion reinforcing belt that is adhered to the tire frame member, that extends around the tire circumferential direction, and that covers a joint portion of the plural tire pieces; and a tread layer that is provided further to the tire radial direction outside than the tire frame member and the joint portion reinforcing belt.
COMBINATION ONE-PIECE MOLDED TIRE AND MOUNTING PLATE
A combination tire and mounting plate are described. The tire portion of the combination is a molded, one-piece, non-pneumatic tire, preferably made by rotational molding. The mounting plate portion of the combination has a central aperture therein and is configured to be coupled to a conventional hub. The combination further includes a fastener dimensioned to attach the mounting plate to the tire so that the central aperture of the mounting plate is coaxial with the central aperture of the tire. This permits the tire/mounting plate combination to be reversibly mounted coaxially on a conventional hub.
NON-PNEUMATIC SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A wheel and tire assembly in accordance with the present invention for a mobile vehicle includes an inner central hub, an outer shear band and tread structure mounted on the central hub, and a spoke structure extending between the central hub and the shear band and tread structure. The spoke structure defines a plurality of cavities disposed concentrically about the central hub whereby the cavities allow the spoke structure to deflect under load.
Airless tire and method for manufacturing same
The present invention increases the bonding strength between a spoke and a tread ring and/or between a spoke and a hub to improve durability. An airless tire provided with a tread ring, a hub, and a spoke, wherein the spoke is integrally provided with: an outer annular portion of which the outer peripheral surface is bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the tread ring via a first adhesion layer; an inner annular portion of which the inner peripheral surface is bonded to the outer peripheral surface of the hub via a second adhesion layer, and a spoke portion which couples the inner and outer annular portions. The inner peripheral surface of the tread ring and/or the outer peripheral surface of the hub is composed of a roughened surface having a surface roughness (Ra) (arithmetic average roughness) of 3-1000 m or a surface roughness (Rz) (ten-point average roughness) of 30-5000 m.
Gate design with plunging nozzle and a waste reservoir for separating off ratio material
This invention relates generally to an apparatus for casting a portion of a tire or other article of manufacture, and, more specifically, to an apparatus that has a gate design, that has a plunging nozzle with a waste reservoir for separating off-ratio material before it enters the cavity that forms a portion of the tire or other article of manufacture. The design may further include a passage that connects the runner to the waste reservoir as-well as an air vent that allows trapped gas or air to exit the waste reservoir as it fills with waste material, a valve that is operative!'/associated with the passage for closing and opening the passage at appropriate times, and a nozzle constructed from two independently translating components for initially introducing material into the waste reservoir and subsequently into the runner.
Gate design with concentric channel for separating off-ratio material
This invention relates generally to an apparatus for casting a portion of a tire or other article of manufacture, and, more specifically, to an apparatus that has a gate design that has a circular runner and concentric channel or waste reservoir for separating off-ratio material before it enters the cavity that forms a portion of the fire or oilier article of manufacture. The design may further include a passage that connects the runner to the waste reservoir as well as an air vent that allows trapped gas or air to exit the waste reservoir as it fills with waste material, a valve that Is operative!) associated with the passage for closing and opening the passage at appropriate times, and a nozzle for initially introducing material into the waste reservoir and subsequently into runner.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOLDING NON-PNEUMATIC WHEELS
A method and apparatus for molding non-pneumatic wheels is provided. The exemplary method and apparatus allow for the use of the same molding system to manufacture wheels with different hub constructions. Different configurations of removable mold elements are utilized within the same molding system to provide wheels with different hub constructions.
NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE
A non-pneumatic tire includes a band part, including an inner band and an outer band that is separated from the inner band and surrounds an outer peripheral surface of the inner band; and a spoke part, extending in a circumferential direction between the inner band and the outer band, having a circumferential cross section having one or more holes.
