Wheel and tire assembly
A wheel assembly including a rigid wheel and a flexible tire. The rigid wheel includes a radially outer rim wall, a plurality of mounting elements, and a plurality of inflatable spacers between the mounting elements. The flexible tire may be mounted on the mounting elements of the rigid wheel such that portions of the flexible tire between the mounting elements are separated from the outer rim wall by spaces between the mounting elements and are configured to flex inwardly when subject to ground engaging pressure. The inflatable spacers limit the amount of inward flex of the inwardly flexible portions of the flexible tire.
Wheel and tire assembly
A wheel assembly including a rigid wheel having a radially outer rim wall presenting a polygonal shape with a plurality of outermost vertices connecting a plurality of planar faces, and a flexible tire mounted on the outer rim wall. The tire is supported by the vertices of the rim wall and is separated from the rim faces by a space, portions of the tire located between the vertices being configured to flex inwardly when subject to ground engaging pressure.
NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE
A structurally supported tire includes a ground contacting annular tread portion; a shear band, and a connected spoke disk connected to the shear band. The connected spoke disk has two or more circumferential spokes joined together by a connecting web, wherein the spring rate of the connected spoke disk is greater than the spring rate of the shear band.
TRANSPORT TIRE AND METHOD
A transport tire is provided for supporting a rim of a machine during transport or storage of the machine. In one form, the transport tire includes a plurality of blocks having a non-annular, handling configuration and an annular, installed configuration. The transport tire includes end portions configured to be releasably connected to secure the blocks in the annular, installed configuration. A method of assembling a transport tire on a rim of a machine is also provided.

A structurally supported tire includes a ground contacting annular tread portion, an annular shear band and two or more spokes.
Segmented tire apparatus
A segmented tire apparatus includes generally arcuate tire segments each including a radial tread extending along an outer circumference of the respective tire segment. Each tire segment further includes a first group of semi-transverse treads extending from at least adjacent to the radial tread in a first direction and a second group of semi-transverse treads extending from at least adjacent to the radial tread in a second direction. Each one of the second group of semi-transverse treads is positioned in an offset but substantially aligned orientation relative to an associated one of the first group of semi-transverse treads. In an alternative embodiment, a segmented tire apparatus includes a plurality of tire segments mountable onto a rim, with a plate positioned between a first one of the plurality of tire segments and a second one of the plurality of tire segments.

Wheel assembly including hinged outer rim segments and related methods
A wheel assembly may include an inner rim, and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. The outer rim may include outer rim segments each hingeably coupled in end-to-end relation to an adjacent outer rim segment to define the outer rim. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner and outer rims, and tread members each carried by a respective one of outer rim segments.
