Tire assembly with circumferential shape memory alloy configuration
A tire assembly that includes a tread portion, a rim, and at least a first band assembly positioned between the tread portion and the rim. The first band assembly includes a first SMA element having an outer surface and a first bead member having an outer surface. The first SMA element extends circumferentially about the tire assembly and the first bead member extends circumferentially about the tire assembly. The first band assembly also includes a plurality of fiber reinforcement members. Each of the plurality of fiber reinforcement members extend around the outer surface of the first SMA element and the outer surface of the first bead member to form the first band assembly.

Structurally supported tire
A structurally supported tire includes a ground contacting annular tread portion, an annular hoop structure for supporting a load on the tire, a means for attachment to a vehicle rim, and a ply structure secured to a first axial limit and extending radially outward and between the hoop structure and the tread portion and further extending radially inward from between the hoop structure and tread portion to a second axial limit. The ply structure is secured to both the first axial limit and the second axial limit. The tread portion is secured to a radially outer surface of the ply structure. The hoop structure is secured to a radially inner surface of the ply structure.

NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH GEODESIC PLY & BEAD
A structurally supported tire includes a ground contacting annular tread portion, an annular shear band and geodesic ply.
STRUCTURALLY SUPPORTED TIRE

Tire tread band with shim layers
A non-pneumatic tire includes an inner ring having an axis of rotation and an outer ring coaxial with the inner ring. The non-pneumatic tire further includes support structure extending from the inner ring to the outer ring and a circumferential tread extending about the outer ring. The circumferential tread includes a shear element. The shear element includes a lower shim layer of solid material, an upper shim layer of solid material, and an elastic layer disposed between the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer. The elastic layer has a higher elasticity than the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer.

Tension-based non-pneumatic tire
A non-pneumatic tire for supporting a load by working in tension. The tire can comprise a generally annular inner ring, a generally annular outer ring, and a web having a plurality of web elements. The tire can further comprise a layer or layers fabric material acting as a bonding agent to bond tire components together.
