A non-pneumatic tire has an inner annular body centered on a rotation axis portion, an outer annular body provided radially outward of the inner annular body, a wheel portion including a connecting member elastically deforming and for connecting the inner annular body and the outer annular body, and a tread portion provided radially outward of the outer annular body and in contact with a road. The non-pneumatic tire is provided with an electrode portion which is in contact with the tread portion and is provided on the radially inner side of tread portion, and a wiring portion which connects the electrode portion and the inner annular body and is formed of a conductor. A part of the wheel portion is formed of a nonmetallic material, and the electrode portion is formed of a conductor having a prescribed width in tire width direction and a prescribed length in tire circumferential direction.

A wheel having a circular ring is provided. The circular ring has a rotational axis and an outer surface. A plurality of lugs is mounted in side-by-side positions on said outer surface of the circular ring. Each lug of the plurality of lugs has: a center rib, a first leg and a second leg, each leg extending from the center rib laterally and opposite of each other, and a lug plate adapted to connect the first leg to the center rib. The outermost point of each center rib may form a circular pattern that is coaxial with the rotational axis. The wheel may have a rim nested within said circular ring, said rim having a plurality of alternating scalloped protrusions, wherein said rim is configured to provide suitable clearance for tools during lug installation and removal while increasing the load capacity of said wheel.

The disclosed technology generally relates to a tire, and more particularly to a non-pneumatic tire that has handling performance similar to a pneumatic tire, supports the load of a vehicle and improves riding comfort by employing a parametric structure. In one aspect, a non-pneumatic tire includes a tread that comes in contact with the ground, a rim that is connected with an axle, and a spoke unit that functions as a structural support between the rim and the tread, in which the spoke unit is formed by circularly arranging spokes. The spokes have a single closed-loop longitudinal cross-section circumscribed to the rim and around the center of the tire.

The disclosed technology generally relates to a tire, and more particularly to a non-pneumatic tire that has handling performance similar to a pneumatic tire, supports the load of a vehicle and improves riding comfort by employing a parametric structure. A non-pneumatic elastic wheel (30) defining three perpendicular directions, circumferential (X), axial (Y) and radial (Z), comprises at least: —a hub (31), for example made of metal; an annular band referred to as a shear band (32) oriented in the circumferential direction (X), surmounted by a tread (33); and a plurality of support elements (34) connecting the hub (31) to the annular shear band (32). The annular shear band (32) is formed by a laminate comprising at least one layer of silicone rubber, in particular of the high temperature crosslinking type, such as, for example, a silicone rubber of VMQ or PVMQ grade, the said layer being sandwiched between two layers of fibre-resin composite comprising filaments of an inorganic substance, in particular glass, embedded in a thermoset resin such as, for example, a vinyl ester resin.

A non-pneumatic elastic wheel (30) defining three perpendicular directions, circumferential (X), axial (Y) and radial (Z), comprises at least: —a hub (31), for example made of metal; an annular band referred to as a shear band (32) oriented in the circumferential direction (X), surmounted by a tread (33); and a plurality of support elements (34) connecting the hub (31) to the annular shear band (32). A non-pneumatic tire includes an inner ring having an axis of rotation and an outer ring coaxial with the inner ring. The non-pneumatic tire further includes support structure extending from the inner ring to the outer ring and a circumferential tread extending about the outer ring. The circumferential tread includes a shear element. The shear element includes a lower shim layer of solid material, an upper shim layer of solid material, and an elastic layer disposed between the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer. The elastic layer has a higher elasticity than the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer.

A non-pneumatic tire includes an inner ring having an axis of rotation and an outer ring coaxial with the inner ring. The non-pneumatic tire further includes support structure extending from the inner ring to the outer ring and a circumferential tread extending about the outer ring. The circumferential tread includes a shear element. The shear element includes a lower shim layer of solid material, an upper shim layer of solid material, and an elastic layer disposed between the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer. The elastic layer has a higher elasticity than the lower shim layer and the upper shim layer.

A non-pneumatic tire includes an inner ring having an axis of rotation and an outer ring coaxial with the inner ring. The non-pneumatic tire further includes support structure extending from the inner ring to the outer ring and a circumferential tread extending about the outer ring. The circumferential tread includes a band layer constructed of a single material and a tread rubber layer directly attached to the band layer.

A method of making a tire includes placing substantially circular sheets of polymeric material on top of each other until a tire is built to a predetermined width. A predetermined tread shape is formed along a circumference of the substantially circular sheets of polymeric material.
