A cord of a band of a tire has a single-stranded structure in which steel filaments are stranded, and the number of the filaments is not less than three and not greater than six. In a cross-section of the cord, when represents a diameter of a smallest circle that surrounds cross-sections of the filaments, and represents a diameter of each filament, a gap is formed between the filaments such that the diameter is not less than three times the diameter and not greater than six times the diameter in the case of the number of the filaments being three or four. An initial elongation of the cord is not less than 0.1% and not greater than 1.5%.

REINFORCEMENT WIRE

A composite wire has a thermoplastic core component and a sheath. The sheath includes at least two groups of reinforcement threads wrapped around the core component. The at least two groups of reinforcement threads form angles with the core component, with the overall sum of all angles which are essentially zero.

High modulus nylon 6.6 cords

A dipped and heat-set high modulus nylon 6.6 cords having a tensile stress value between 1.2 and 2.0 cN/dtex at 4% elongation. The high modulus nylon 6.6 cords are used as reinforcement in shaped rubber composites. The minimum heat shrinkage of the cords is 4% and the maximum heat shrinkage thereof is 7%.

Cap ply reinforcement strip in pneumatic tire

The cap ply reinforcement strip is a ready-to-use plain woven fabric and is composed of hybrid cord warps (3) and texturized weft yarns (2). The cap ply reinforcement strip for pneumatic tires (1) eliminates calendering and strip preparation steps by eliminating the need for rubber coating and decreases the rolling resistance of the tire and the fuel consumption.

Motorcycle tire for uneven terrain

[Object] A motorcycle tire, for an uneven terrain, which exhibits both impact absorption and handling stability is provided. [Solution] A tire 2 includes a pair of rubber reinforcing layers 14 disposed inward of a carcass 10 near ends, respectively, of a tread surface 16. A profile of the tread surface 16 is formed by: an arc C1 that is disposed at a center, and that projects outward in a radial direction; and a pair of arcs C2 each of which is disposed outward of the arc C1 in an axial direction and each of which projects outward in the radial direction. The arc C1 contacts with the arcs C2. A radius R1 of curvature of the arc C1 is less than a radius R2 of curvature of each arc C2. Outer ends 40 of the rubber reinforcing layers 14 are disposed outward of ends TE of the tread surface 16 in the radial direction. Inner ends 42 of the rubber reinforcing layers 14 are disposed inward of the ends TE of the tread surface 16 in the radial direction. The rubber reinforcing layers 14 are not disposed on an equator plane.

Hybrid tire cord and method for manufacturing the same

NOVEL BIELASTIC ARAMID TIRE CORD AS CAP PLY

The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus aramid fibers which has bielastic tensile properties. The dipped and heat-set aramid cord includes at least two cord plies and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bielastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
