An outer surface of at least one of the bead portions is provided with a recess row including a plurality of recesses spaced in a tire circumferential direction, and in the at least one of the bead portions, an outermost end of the bead reinforcing layer is located outwardly in the tire radial direction of outermost ends of the plurality of recesses.
HIGH PERFORMANCE TIRE CORDS
High performance textile cords having residual twist in ply-yarns in cord are used as reinforcement in bias and radial pneumatic tires. The high performance textile cords have a residual ply-yarn twist multiplier, wherein the residual ply-yarn twist multiplier is greater than 1,000 and less than 4,000 and a residual twist direction of a plurality of ply-yarns in Z or S direction is in an opposite direction of a cord twist, in S or Z direction.
BELT STRUCTURE FOR A TIRE
A tire includes a carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass ply, and a belt structure having an overall axial width substantially equal to a tread width interposed between the tread and the crown region in circumferential surrounding relation to the carcass ply. The belt structure includes a first belt layer and a second belt layer radially adjacent the first belt layer. The first belt layer includes a first reinforced composite with first reinforcement cords embedded in a first rubber matrix. The first reinforcement cords have a construction of 1100/4 dtex with a twist between 150 TPM and 250 TPM and a dipping tension between 100 mN/tex and 200 mN/tex.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion; sidewall portions; bead portions; a carcass layer disposed extending between the pair of bead portions; a belt layer of a plurality of layers disposed on an outer circumferential side of the carcass layer in the tread portion; and a band-like noise absorbing member adhered to a region corresponding to a tire inner surface of the tread portion along the tire circumferential direction interposed by an adhesive layer. The pneumatic tire further includes a belt cover layer being disposed on an outer circumferential side of the belt layer across an entire width of the belt layer, the belt cover layer including organic fiber cords arranged in the tire circumferential direction; and a rate of change of a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 270 km/h with respect to a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 30 km/h being restricted to 2.0% or less.
Radial tire having an improved belt structure
A radial tire comprises a multilayer composite laminate (10) comprising at least three superposed layers of reinforcers (110, 120, 130), the reinforcers being unidirectional within each layer and embedded in a thickness of rubber (C1, C2, C3, respectively), with a first layer of rubber (C1) comprising at least one row of heat-shrinkable circumferential textile reinforcers (110), for example made of nylon or polyester. The first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounts two other layers (C2, C3) comprising metal reinforcers (120, 130) which are crossed from one layer to the next, in the form of steel monofilaments of a diameter between 0.20 mm and 0.50 mm. The reinforcers (110) made of heat-shrinkable textile material are tapes of thickness denoted “T” between 0.1 mm and 1 mm, and of thickness denoted “W” between 2 and 50 mm.
PNEUMATIC TIRE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED ARAMID TEXTILE CORD WITH AN AT LEAST TRIPLE TWIST
The invention relates to a tyre comprising a working reinforcement comprising a single working ply, a carcass reinforcement and a hoop reinforcement. The hooping reinforcing textile filamentary element or elements (480), the working reinforcing filamentary elements (460) and the carcass reinforcing filamentary elements (440) are arranged so as to form a triangular mesh in projection on the circumferential equatorial plane (E). The or each hooping reinforcing textile filamentary element (480) is formed by a cord (30) with a triple twist (T1, T2, T3), comprising an assembly (25) consisting of N>1 strands (20a, 20b, 20c) twisted together with a twist T3 in a direction D2, each strand consisting of M>1 pre-strands, which are themselves twisted together with a twist T2 (T2a, T2b, T2c) in a direction D1 opposite to D2, each pre-strand itself consisting in a yarn that has been previously twisted about itself with a twist T1 in the direction D1, wherein at least half of the N times M yarns consist of elementary monofilaments of aromatic polyamide or aromatic copolyamide.
