RUBBERIZED STRENGTH MEMBER FOR ELASTOMERIC PRODUCTS, IN PARTICULAR VEHICLE TYRES, WHEREIN THE STRENGTH MEMBER HAS AT LEAST ONE FIRST YARN, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE RUBBERIZED STRENGTH MEMBER, AND VEHICLE TYRE HAVING AT LEAST ONE RUBBERIZED STRENGTH MEMBER

The invention relates to a rubberized strength member for elastomeric products, especially vehicle tires, wherein the strength member includes at least one first yarn, to a process for producing the rubberized strength member and to a motor vehicle tire including at least one rubberized strength member.

According to the invention, the first yarn is a yarn of HMLS-PET comprising recycled PET.

FIBER CORD FOR REINFORCING RUBBER

A fiber cord for reinforcing rubber includes an organic fiber covered with a resin for which the average integration value of hardness measured by AFM is 150 MPa or less. A fiber cord for reinforcing rubber which could not be achieved with prior art, can be achieved with improved initial adhesiveness and heat-resistant adhesiveness as well as excellent stress relaxation for the rubber-cord composite.

TEXTILE COAT RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR A TIRE AND A TIRE COMPRISING A TEXTILE COAT RUBBER COMPOSITION

In accordance with the invention, a textile cord coat composition for a tire comprises from 70 to 90 phr cis 1,4-polyisoprene rubber, from 10 to 30 phr styrene butadiene rubber, from 25 to 45 phr carbon black, the latter comprising between 1 and 6 phr high surface area carbon black having a BET surface area of more than 700 m.sup.2/g. Moreover, the invention is directed to a textile reinforced ply and a tire comprising such a textile cord coat composition.

HYBRID CORD REINFORCEMENT FOR A TIRE AND A TIRE COMPRISING A HYBRID CORD REINFORCEMENT

This invention relates to a hybrid cord for a tire ply or ply strip, wherein the cord comprises two aramid yarns having densities from 1400 to 1900 dtex twisted in a first direction with 5 to 11 twists per inch, a polyamide yarn having a density of 700 to 1200 dtex twisted in the first direction with 4 to 10 twists per inch, wherein the three yarns are twisted together to form the cord, and wherein the cord is twisted with 4 to 10 twists in a direction opposite to the first direction. Moreover, the present invention is directed to a pneumatic tire comprising at least one of a belt ply, a carcass ply, an overlay ply and an overlay ply strip, wherein the ply or ply strip of the tire comprises a plurality of the aforementioned cords.

Reinforcement Layer and Pneumatic Vehicle Tire

The invention relates to a reinforcement layer for elastomeric products, in particular for the belt bandage (8), having cords as reinforcement, where the cords have at least two yarns, where a first yarn of the yarns is made of polyamide and where the ends of all yarns of a cord are twisted together. The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing a reinforcement layer for elastomeric products which exhibits a relatively high tensile force value for an elongation of 4% or more and which exhibits relatively low shrinkage based on linear density of the reinforcement. This is achieved in that the cords are hybrid cords having precisely three yarns, in that the hybrid cord has the first yarn and a second yarn made of HMLS-PET, in that the hybrid cord has a first yarn or a second yarn as third yarn, and in that the linear density of each hybrid cord is at least 5000 dtex.
