RUBBER-CORD COMPOSITE, REINFORCING MEMBER FOR TIRES, AND TIRE USING SAME
Provided is a rubber-cord composite, a tire reinforcing member including the composite, and a tire including the reinforcing member. The rubber-cord composite includes a reinforcing cord, and the composite forms a spiral cord layer in the tire reinforcing member. The twist coefficient of the reinforcing cord is greater than 0.3.
MOTORCYCLES TYRE
Motorcycles tyre including a carcass structure, a zero-degree belt structure arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt structure. The belt structure includes at least one hybrid reinforcing cord that has an elongation greater than 4% when subjected to a load equal to about 50 N and a tangent modulus with a monotonic progression as the elongation increases for elongations comprised between 4% and at least 9%.
Tire With Steel Cord-Containing Ply
Disclosed herein are vehicle tires including a carcass with at least one body ply, a tread disposed radially outward of the carcass, and a belt component comprising a steel cord-containing ply positioned radially between the tread and the carcass. The steel cord-containing ply comprises rubber reinforced with steel warp cords having a specified diameter and EASL. Also disclosed is a vehicle tire containing two belt components comprising a steel cord-containing ply, each belt component positioned radially between the tread and the carcass.
Tire With Single Steel Cord-Containing Ply Having Bi-Axially Woven Cords
Disclosed herein are vehicle tires including a tread, a carcass with at least one body ply, and a single steel cord-containing belt ply positioned radially inward of the tread and radially outward of the carcass. The single steel cord-containing belt ply comprises rubber reinforced with steel warp cords bi-axially woven with steel weft cords and have a specified bi-axial angle. Also disclosed is a vehicle tire containing the single steel cord-containing belt ply wherein the belt ply includes pick cords connecting the steel warp cords and steel weft cords.
TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
A tyre for vehicle wheels comprises at least one structural component including a plurality of textile reinforcing cords (10), at least some of which comprise at least two yarns (20a, 20b) twisted together. At least one of said yarns (20a, 20b) is a texturized yarn (210) comprising a plurality of first filaments (201a) made of a recycled plastic material mixed with a plurality of second filaments (202a) made of a non-recycled plastic material.
REINFORCEMENT WIRE
A composite wire has a thermoplastic core component and a sheath. The sheath includes at least two groups of reinforcement threads wrapped around the core component. The at least two groups of reinforcement threads form angles with the core component, with the overall sum of all angles which are essentially zero.
AIRCRAFT RADIAL TIRE
A pneumatic tire may include: a carcass; a belt reinforcing structure comprising a plurality of belt layers that include at least one spiral belt layer and at least one zigzag belt layer; and a tread comprising two or more main grooves extending circumferentially continuously around the pneumatic tire and defining a plurality of ribs that include two axially outermost ribs. At 10% to 100% of rated pressure and no load, each of the two axially outermost ribs may be raised (e.g., by a gap of 1 mm to 7 mm) in relation to a respective next nearest rib located axially inward of the respective axially outermost rib.
REINFORCING ELEMENT, ELASTOMER COMPOSITE AND TIRE COMPRISING SAID REINFORCING ELEMENT
The reinforcing element (45) comprises an assembly (49) made up: of a multifilament strand made of aromatic polyamide or aromatic copolyamide (46) and of a multifilament strand made of polyester (48). The two strands (46, 48) are wound in a helix around one another, and the reinforcing element (45) is twist-balanced. The twist factor K of the reinforcing element (45) ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 where K is defined by the formula: K=(RTi.sup.1/2)/957 in which R is the twist of the reinforcing element (45) expressed in twists per metre and Ti is the sum of the counts of the multifilament strands of the reinforcing element (45) in tex.
Bielastic carbon fiber cord as cap ply
A dipped and heat-set carbon fiber cord, including a plurality of cord plies having a spacing between the plurality of cord plies. A TASE at 2.0% elongation of the carbon fiber cord is less than 2.0cN/dtex. The spacing between the plurality of cord plies is longer than 15% and shorter than 80% of a cord diameter of the plurality of cord plies.
Reinforcing element having a flattened cross-section
The reinforcing element (34) has a cross-section with a flattened overall shape having an aspect ratio greater than or equal to 5 and extending in a main direction (Z1). It comprises a lateral edge (46) made of a polymeric composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, the lateral edge (46) extending in a general direction substantially parallel to the main direction. The reinforcing element (34) is such that R=(UcU1)/Uc>11%, where Uc is the average value of the microhardness of the reinforcing element (34) measured in its central part, and U1 is the average value of the microhardness of the reinforcing element (34) measured at its lateral edge (36). The lateral edge (46) does not have any ridges.
