A rubber chafer is disposed on an outer side in the tire width direction of a bead filler. A tire comprises a conductive member. The inner end in the tire radial direction of the conductive member is located at a tire radial position of an outer end in the tire radial direction of the rubber chafer or in a tire radial region inner in the tire radial direction than the outer end in the tire radial direction of the rubber chafer. The conductive member extends from the inner end in the tire radial direction thereof outwardly in the tire radial direction to at least a position of any of the reinforcement layers which is conductive among the one or more reinforcement layers.
Elastomer reinforcement cord
Provided is an elastomer reinforcement cord with improved rust resistance. An elastomer reinforcement cord 10 includes metal filaments and a polymer material. The elastomer reinforcement cord 10 has a multi-strand structure which includes: at least one core strand 21 formed by twisting plural metal filaments 1a and 1b together; and two or more sheath strands 22 each formed by twisting plural metal filaments 11a and 11b together, the sheath strands being twisted together around the core strand. An intra-sheath-strand filling rate a, which is a ratio of the area of the polymer material with respect to an intra-sheath-strand gap region A, is 52% or higher, and an inter-strand filling rate b, which is a ratio of the area of the polymer material with respect to an inter-strand gap region B, is 75% or higher.

Disclosed herein are a tire ply steel fabric having specified weft cords, a rubber covered tire ply comprising the tire ply steel fabric, tires comprising the rubber covered tire ply, and related processes for producing a tire ply steel fabric with specific weft cords and for producing a rubber covered tire ply comprising the tire ply steel fabric. The tire ply steel fabric comprises a plurality of steel warp cords and a plurality of weft cords each weft cord having a core-sheath construction wherein the core comprises at least one filament of a non-metallic material having a specified Eb and the sheath comprises a different non-metallic material having a specified Eb that is lower than the Eb of the core material.
CAP PLY STRIP WITH DIFFERENT NYLON 6,6 CONSTRUCTIONS
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord fabric or strip made of alternating nylon cords having different constructions. Such a novel cord fabrics or strips improves high speed durability and tread separation resistance when used as zero degree spirally wound cap ply on the belt package in pneumatic radial tires.

A pneumatic vehicle tyre of radial type of construction, having a tread (1), having a carcass inlay (3), having electrically non-conductive sidewalls (7) and having at least one electrically conductive component (8) or element in a bead region, which component or element, in the case of a tyre mounted on a wheel rim, comes into contact with said wheel rim, wherein either the tread (1) is electrically conductive or, in the tread region, at least one electrically conductive component (10) is provided which is overlapped on the outside by the sidewalls (7) and which is connected in electrically conductive fashion to the tread outer surface, and wherein filaments provided with an electrically conductive coating are incorporated at least in a sidewall region, the coating of which filaments forms electrically conductive passages between the tread (1) or the component (10) and the at least one electrically conductive component (8) or element in the bead region.
Tire comprising carcass reinforcement cords with low permeability
A tire comprising a crown reinforcement formed of at least two working crown layers of reinforcing elements. The tire additionally comprises, in each shoulder, at least one end of a layer of reinforcing elements that are mutually parallel in the layer and are oriented circumferentially, said end being axially outside said at least two working crown layers, the reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement having a diameter less than 1 mm and being made up of threads with a diameter strictly greater than 0.16 mm, and said reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement being advantageously non-wrapped metal cords that return a flow rate of less than 20 cm.sup.3/min in what is referred to as the permeability test.
CAP PLY STRIP WITH ALTERNATE NYLON 6,6 AND PET CORDS
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord fabric or strip made of alternating PET and nylon 6.6 warp cords which is used as tire reinforcement. COMPOSITE COMPRISING A METAL COMPONENT AND A FUNCTIONAL POLYMER MATRIX
The present invention relates to a composite based at least on a component having a metal surface and on a polymer matrix comprising a functional diene polymer that bears at least one aromatic group. The aromatic group is substituted by at least two hydroxyl functions, where two of the hydroxyl functions are vicinal. Such a composite has a good resistance to delamination.
ZERO-PRESSURE TIRE
A pneumatic radial tire includes a carcass structure having a pair of sidewalls and a crown, a pair of beads, a tread, a belt structure, and a plurality of reinforcing hoops. The plurality of spaced apart reinforcing hoops are disposed intermediate the crown of the carcass structure and the tread, and are formed of a rigid material coated in an elastomeric material. The plurality of reinforcing hoops includes a pair of outer reinforcing hoops disposed adjacent the sidewalls of the carcass, and an at least one inner reinforcing hoop disposed between the outer reinforcing hoops.
