A bias tire carcass reinforced with hybrid cords consisting one ply aramide yarns (1) and one ply nylon yarns (2), and nylon content within cord is between 45 to 65%; the nylon yarn content within those range improves fatigue resistance and reduces sidewall gauge with respect to reference bias tire having nylon carcass; in one embodiment of the present invention, a bias tire carcass for pneumatic tires which have reinforcing layers comprising hybrid cords consist of one ply is made of aramide yarns and one ply is made of nylon yarns with 45-65% nylon content by weight, are balanced twisted cords.
NOVEL BIELASTIC ARAMID TIRE CORD AS CAP PLY
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus aramid fibers which has bielastic tensile properties. The dipped and heat-set aramid cord includes at least two cord plies and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bielastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.

The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus carbon fibers which has bi-elastic tensile properties. The dipped and heat-set carbon fiber cord includes at least two cord plies and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bi-elastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
FIBER FOR RUBBER REINFORCEMENT, RUBBER-FIBER COMPOSITE, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING SAME
Provided are: a rubber-reinforcing fiber, in which adhesion between a rubber and a fiber is enhanced and which is thereby capable of further improving the durability than before when used as a reinforcing material; a rubber-fiber composite; and a pneumatic tire using the same. The rubber-reinforcing fiber includes a core-sheath type composite fiber whose core portion is composed of a high-melting-point resin (A) having a melting point of 150 C. or higher and sheath portion is composed of a resin material (B) having a melting point lower than that of the high-melting point resin (A). The resin material (B) includes: an olefin-based random copolymer (C) and/or an olefin-based homopolymer or olefin-based copolymer (D) (excluding (C)); and a styrene-based elastomer (E) containing a monomolecular chain in which mainly styrene monomers are arranged in series.
FIBER FOR RUBBER REINFORCEMENT, RUBBER-FIBER COMPOSITE, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING SAME
Provided are: a rubber-reinforcing fiber, in which adhesion between a rubber and a fiber is enhanced and which is thereby capable of further improving the durability than before when used as a reinforcing material; a rubber-fiber composite; and a pneumatic tire using the same. The rubber-reinforcing fiber includes a core-sheath type composite fiber whose core portion is composed of a high-melting-point resin (A) having a melting point of 150 C. or higher and sheath portion is composed of a resin material (B) having a melting point lower than that of the high-melting point resin (A). The resin material (B) includes an olefin-based copolymer composition (X) which contains two or more olefin-based polymers selected from a propylene--olefin copolymer (C1), a propylene-nonconjugated diene copolymer (C2), an ionomer (C3) whose degree of neutralization with a metal salt of an olefin-based copolymer containing a monomer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof is 20% or higher, and an olefin-based homopolymer or olefin-based copolymer (D) (excluding (C1) and (C2)).

DUPLEX CORD FOR USE AS A REINFORCEMENT IN A BELT BANDAGE OF A PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TYRE
The invention relates to a duplex cord for use as strength member in a belt bandage of a pneumatic vehicle tire, consisting of exactly two yarns that are twisted together at the ends, wherein the first yarn has a Z value of 600 mN/tex or more, and wherein the second yarn has a Z value of 75 mN/tex or less and a Y value of 150 mN/tex or less, where Z is the force normalized to the linear yarn density at which an elongation of 1% is obtained in the force-elongation diagram, where Y is the force normalized to the linear yarn density at which an elongation of 4% is obtained in the force-elongation diagram, and where the quotient X of the linear density of the first yarn divided by the linear density of the second yarn is in the range from 1.0 to 1.3.
Hybrid tire cord and method for manufacturing thereof
The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a hybrid tire cord that utilizes a difference in fineness using a general-purpose industrial filament such as nylon and polyester having high fineness of 200 denier or more relative to a fineness of an aramid filament.

The invention relates to a tire having at least one carcass reinforcement (2) comprising reinforcers, surmounted radially on the outside by a crown reinforcement (3) comprising two axial ends S, itself radially on the inside of a tread (4), said crown reinforcement (3) being made up of at least one layer of reinforcement elements, said tread (4) being connected to two beads (5) by way of two sidewalls (6), said beads (5) being intended to come into contact with a rim flange having a rim flange top C, each bead having at least one circumferential reinforcement element (7) known as a bead wire, said carcass reinforcement (2) comprising an end (8) at each bead (5), the end (8) of the carcass reinforcement (2) being turned up once in an outward radial direction of the tire and about said bead wire, so as to form a turnup, then being folded in the radially outward direction so as to form a fold of the carcass ply (2), said fold forming a radially external end (12a) and three adjacent parts along an axial axis made up of a central part (10), of an axially internal lateral part (11), and of an axially external lateral part (0), the fold being executed in an outward axial direction with respect to the center of the tire, characterized in that a decoupling elastomer composition (14) having a secant modulus at 10% extension of greater than or equal to 10 MPa and preferably greater than or equal to 30 MPa and less than or equal to 60 MPa is present between the axially internal lateral part and the central part of said turnup, and at the radially external end (12a) of said turnup (12), said elastomer composition being present along a radial length comprised between the radially external end of the turnup and a radially internal point F with respect to the end of said turnup, said point being situated on the sidewall and at a distance from said radially external end by a length greater than 10 mm, and in that the radially external end (12a) of the turnup (12) is disposed between the rim flange top C and a point D, said points C and D being situated at the surface of the sidewall (6) and disposed on either side of a point E situated on the sidewall corresponding to the nominal section width, said point D being disposed at a maximum radial length equal to 85% of the length present between the axial end S of the crown reinforcement (3) and the rim flange top C.
