TRUCK TIRE
A pneumatic tire for use on trucks, the tire comprising: a tread which includes a belt reinforcement structure, the belt structure including a pair of working belts, wherein the angle of the working belts range from about 10 degrees to about 50 degrees, and wherein the first working belt has an angle of the reinforcements different that the angle of the belt reinforcements of the second working belt. The belt package further includes a low angle belt that is preferably positioned between of the working belts. The pneumatic tire further includes a tread having a groove reinforced with a tread compound having a tensile at break greater than 18 MPa, and an elongation at break greater than 450%.
Highly compressible open cord
A cord (50) comprises a single layer (52) of helically wound metal filamentary elements (54). The metal filamentary elements define an internal enclosure (58) of the cord of diameter Dv. Each metal filamentary element (54) has a diameter Df and a helix radius of curvature Rf. With Dv, Df and Rf being expressed in millimetres, the cord satisfies the following relationships: 9≤Rf/Df≤30 and 1.30≤Dv/Df≤2.10.
PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH REINFORCING PART
There is provided a pneumatic tire with a reinforcing part which is mounted on a tire wheel, the pneumatic tire including: a tread having a groove that is formed in a circumferential direction of the tire wheel as being recessed toward a central axis of the tire wheel, a kerf that is formed to intersect the groove as being recessed toward the central axis of the tire wheel, and one or more blocks that are formed between the groove and the kerf and come into contact with a road surface; a shoulder formed at a side of the tread; and a reinforcing part inserted into the groove formed between the one or more blocks. The reinforcing part reduces noise produced due to contact with the road surface by being bent one or more times.
RUBBER REINFORCING MATERIAL WITH REDUCED WEIGHT, METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME, AND TIRE COMPRISING THE SAME
This invention relates to rubber reinforcing material with reduced weight, a method for preparing the same, and a tire including the same. According to this invention, there is provided a rubber reinforcing material that has a thin thickness and light weight, and yet has excellent durability. The reinforcing material not only reduces the weight of a tire, but also enables realization of improved rolling resistance.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes: a belt layer including a belt cord is arranged; and a belt reinforcing layer in which an organic fiber cord is arranged, the organic fiber cord is a hybrid cord formed by twisting an aramid yarn and a nylon yarn together, and a ratio (Sr/Sc) of a rubber cross-sectional area (Sr) to a cord cross-sectional area (Sc) is 1.5 to 2.0, and a value obtained by dividing, by 1000, a sum of a product (A) of a load LASE5% (N) at 5% elongation of the organic fiber cord, a cord count (per 25 mm), and the number of belt reinforcing layers, and a product (B) of a load (N) at 0.5% elongation of the belt cord, cos θ in which a belt angle is defined as θ, a cord count (per inch), and the number of belt layers is 11 or more.
Composite tire structure
A composite tire, having an outer tube and an inner tube made of different materials or the same material but in different densities; an inner circumferential surface of the outer tube is integrally formed with protruding rings; projections or slots are provided on each of the protruding rings; the inner tube is integrated to the inner circumferential surface of the outer tube; the inner tube is divided into different layers made of different materials or the same material but in different densities; the inner tube engages with the protruding rings such that if the projections are provided on each of the protruding rings, the projections are wrapped by the inner tube, or if the slots are provided on each of the protruding rings, the slots are filled by the inner tube. The composite tire is resistant to wearing and also comfortable to use.
STEEL CORD FOR REINFORCING RUBBER ARTICLE
Provided is a steel cord for rubber article reinforcement which has excellent corrosion resistance and productivity without deterioration of adhesion with rubber. A steel cord (1) for rubber article reinforcement, in which plural steel filaments (2) are twisted together, includes: a core having at least one core filament (2c); and a sheath having at least one sheath layer formed by twisting at least one sheath filament (2s) around the core. In this steel cord (1), brass plating is performed on the steel filaments (2) and zinc plating is further performed on the outer circumference of the brass plating of the core filament (2c), and the steel filaments (2) have a diameter d of 0.1 mm to 0.6 mm.
HIGHLY COMPRESSIBLE OPEN CORD
