Provided is a pneumatic tire in which fiber reinforced layers on an outer side of a steel reinforced layer in a width direction each include fiber cords arranged in one direction, the fiber cords being oriented to cross each other between layers, a radially outer end of one of the fiber reinforced layers being radially outward of a turned-up end portion of a carcass layer, a radially outer end portion of another one of the fiber reinforced layers being radially inward of the turned-up end portion and radially outward of a line segment (K). Radially inner end portions of the fiber reinforced layers are inward in the width direction of a line segment (J), and cord angles A and B of the fiber reinforced layers satisfy 20|A|45 or 70|A|90, and 20|B|45 or 70|B|90.

Pneumatic tire equipped with a transponder

A pneumatic tire includes: a body ply partially collapsed onto itself and therefore having two lateral flaps, in each of which an edge of the body ply rests against an intermediate portion of the body ply itself; two annular beads, each of which is surrounded by the body ply and comprises a bead core and a bead filler; an annular tread; a pair of sidewalls arranged axially externally to the body ply and extending radially inward from the tread; a pair of abrasion gum strips arranged at the beads axially externally to the body ply, and extending radially inward from the sidewalls; and a transponder axially arranged in an interior of one of the two flaps and located radially more to the inside of the edge of the body ply, wherein a radial distance greater than 7 mm is provided between the transponder and the edge of the body ply.

Pneumatic tire with optimized crown and bead architectures

A tire comprises, in the central part of its crown, at least one undulation (51) of the radially outermost crown layer, having a radial amplitude A at least equal to 1 mm. At least one bead comprises, aside from the radial carcass layer and the bead wire, a radial reinforcing element that is such that the axial distance between the radial reinforcing element and the axially innermost carcass layer is at least equal to 1 mm and at most equal to 12 mm at the point of the radial reinforcing element that is situated 30 mm from the radially innermost point of the bead wire, for a better trade-off between the stiffness of the undulating crown and of the bead.
