Aircraft tire

A pneumatic tire is disclosed having two annular bead portions having a bead core. A carcass extends between the bead portions through sidewall portions and a tread portion, wherein the carcass includes at least two axially inner plies which extend down from the tread and axially inward of the bead core, said at least two axially inner plies being wound around the bead core forming respective turn-ups, each turnup being located axially outward of the bead core. The carcass further includes a first axially outer ply which extends down from the tread towards the bead core and positioned axially outward of the bead core, wherein at least one of the axially outer plies is formed from reinforcements having a higher break strength than the reinforcements of the axially inner plies.

A pneumatic tire includes: paired bead portions respectively including annular bead cores and bead fillers disposed on an outer side in a tire radial direction of the bead cores; sidewall portions respectively extending outward in the tire radial direction from the bead portions; a tread portion connected to outer ends in the tire radial direction of the sidewall portions to form a tread; a carcass layer suspended between the bead portions; and a belt layer provided on an outer side in the tire radial direction of the carcass layer in the tread portion. The carcass layer has a first ply that continuously extends between the bead portions and that has opposite end portions and a second ply that extends from a position in contact with an inner peripheral face of an end portion, wherein the second ply has higher tensile strength than the tensile strength of the first ply.

The carcass layer has a first ply that continuously extends between the bead portions and that has opposite end portions respectively and a second ply that continuously extends on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the first ply, wherein the first ply has higher tensile strength than that of the second ply, and the end portion is positioned on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the end.

A pneumatic tire includes: a body ply partially collapsed onto itself and therefore having two lateral flaps, in each of which an edge of the body ply rests against an intermediate portion of the body ply itself; two annular beads, each of which is surrounded by the body ply and comprises a bead core and a bead filler; an annular tread; a pair of sidewalls arranged axially externally to the body ply and extending radially inward from the tread; a pair of abrasion gum strips arranged at the beads axially externally to the body ply, and extending radially inward from the sidewalls; and a transponder axially arranged in an interior of one of the two flaps and located radially more to the inside of the edge of the body ply, wherein a radial distance greater than 7 mm is provided between the transponder and the edge of the body ply.

A run-flat radial tire is provided that has a tire cross-section height of 115 mm or greater includes a carcass spanning between a pair of bead portions, a side reinforcing rubber layer that is provided to a tire side portion and that extends in a tire radial direction along an inner face of the carcass, and at least one inclined belt layer that is provided at a tire radial direction outside of the carcass and includes cord extending in a direction inclined with respect to a tire circumferential direction. At least at one end portion side in the tire axial direction of a maximum width inclined belt layer having the largest width in the tire axial direction, the maximum width inclined belt layer and the side reinforcing rubber layer have an overlap width in the tire axial direction of 22.5% or greater of the tire cross-section height.

A heavy-duty pneumatic tire includes an inclined belt in which reinforcing elements of a first belt layer and reinforcing elements of a second belt layer extend at an inclination angle of 5 to 30 relative to the tire circumferential direction in such a manner that the reinforcing elements of the first belt layer cross the reinforcing elements of the second belt layer. The shortest distance d between the reinforcing elements of the first belt layer and the reinforcing elements of the second belt layer is 0.64 mm or less. The outer edge of a carcass folded-up portion in the tire radial direction is located further inward in the tire radial direction than the tire maximum width position.

Each bead filler (8) contacts a bead (3) and is at least partly enclosed in a turn-up (4) of the body ply (2), and comprises an elastomer filler strip (9) which is wound about the bead (3) and is interposed between the bead (3) and the body ply (2) and has two opposite ends (10, 11) located on opposite sides of the bead (3) and contacting each other. An outer end (11) of the filler strip (9) of each bead filler (8) is folded into a U about the corresponding end of the body ply (2) so as to enclose the end of the body ply (2).
