Pneumatic tire having reinforcing members and air barrier layer
A method of preparing a tire including the steps of: providing a cured tire, the tire including a first bead, a second bead, a carcass layer extending from the first bead to the second bead, and an optional innerliner layer disposed interior to the carcass layer; applying a pair of reinforcing members to the carcass layer or to the optional innerliner layer, if present; and applying an air barrier composition to the pair of reinforcing members, and to a portion of the carcass layer or to a portion of the optional innerliner layer to thereby form an air barrier layer.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
The pneumatic tire includes: a pair of bead portions; a pair of sidewall portions; a tread portion; a carcass; a reinforcing rubber layer, a tire widthwise cross-section of the reinforcing rubber layer having a substantially crescent shape; an inclined belt including at least one inclined belt layer formed by a plurality of cords extending at an inclination to a tire circumferential direction and covered with rubber; and an inner liner provided on an inner peripheral surface of a tire body in at least the tread portion. In a tire widthwise cross-sectional view, an edge of the inner liner is positioned farther outward in the tire radial direction than a tire maximum width position of the pneumatic tire and farther inward in the tire radial direction than a perpendicular from a tire widthwise edge of the inclined belt to the inner peripheral surface of the tire body.
Run-Flat Tire
A run-flat tire includes: sipes formed in blocks; a belt reinforcing layer on an outer side in a radial direction of a belt layer; and a side reinforcing rubber in sidewall portions, wherein a density of the sipes in a center block is from 0.10 cords/mm or greater to 0.30 cords/mm or smaller, the belt reinforcing layer includes a center reinforcing portion in which more center reinforcing portions are stacked at a center region than at positions other than the center region, a width Wc of the center reinforcing portion is within 0.5 Gr≤Wc≤2.5 Gr with respect to a thickness Gr of the side reinforcing rubber at the tire maximum width position, and an average width of the width Wc of the center reinforcing portion is from 50% or greater to 90% or smaller of a width of the center block.
Run-flat radial tire
A tire includes a carcass, side-reinforcing rubber, a belt layer, and a tread. The belt layer includes at least two layers and is provided at a tire radial direction outer side of the carcass, each layer including a cord inclined with respect to a tire circumferential direction such that the cords of the belt layers intersect each other. The tread is provided at the tire radial direction outer side of the belt layer. A tire cross-section height SH satisfies SH≥145 mm, and a ground contact width TW of the tread and a maximum tire width direction width of the belt layer satisfies TW<B. Moreover, an angle θ formed between a tire outer face and the tire width direction at a position at 0.8SH toward the tire radial direction outer side of a bead base portion of either of the bead portions is no less than 60°.
Run-Flat Tire
A run-flat tire includes a reinforcing rubber layer with a roughly crescent-shaped meridian cross-section disposed in sidewall portions at both sides in a tire width direction. The tread portion is provided formed of a tread rubber that includes a cap tread rubber and an undertread rubber disposed on an inner side of the cap tread rubber in a tire radial direction and having a higher hardness than the cap tread rubber. In a meridian cross-section, a gauge of the undertread rubber on a shoulder land portion on an outer side of an outermost main groove located furthest outward in the tire width direction is thicker than a gauge of the undertread rubber of a center land portion closest to a tire equatorial plane.
RESIN-METAL COMPOSITE MEMBER FOR TIRE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND TIRE
A resin-metal composite member for a tire comprises a metal member (27) and a coating resin layer (28) that covers the metal member (27) and contains a resin composition. The resin composition includes a thermoplastic elastomer, at least one additive resin selected from an amorphous resin having an ester bond or a polyester-based thermoplastic resin, and at least one chemical selected from a carbodiimide compound, a polyfunctional epoxy compound, or a polyfunctional amino compound.
RUN-FLAT TIRE
A run-flat tire includes: a pair of bead portions in which bead cores are embedded; sidewall portions that are continuous with tire radial direction outer sides of the bead portions; a carcass that extends across the pair of bead portions and has a body portion that is positioned between the bead cores and turn-up portions that are turned up from inside to outside about the bead cores; a belt layer disposed on a tire radial direction outer side of the carcass; a tread provided on a tire radial direction outer side of the belt layer; side reinforcing layers that are made of rubber, disposed on the tire inner side of the body portion, and configured so that a thickness of the side reinforcing layers gradually decreases toward the tread and the bead portions; and bead fillers that are made of resin and provided between the bead cores, the body portion, and the turn-up portions.
NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE
A non-pneumatic tire includes beads, apexes, an inner liner, a cushion ply, a tread rubber, sidewall rubbers, and a first carcass ply; and further includes sidewall support layers and a crown support layer. The sidewall support layers are located at the locations of sidewalls and interposed between the inner liner and the first carcass ply. The crown support layer is located at the location of a crown, and interposed between the inner liner and the first carcass ply or between the first carcass ply and the cushion ply. Both ends of the crown support layer respectively extend toward the sidewalls and are partly overlapped with the sidewall support layers.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire has a designated vehicle inner/outer side orientation for when mounted on a vehicle, and includes: a reinforcing rubber layer disposed in sidewall portions on sides in a tire lateral direction, the reinforcing rubber layer having a crescent shaped meridian cross-section; wherein a radius of curvature with an arc joining intersections of straight lines and a tire external contour, and a radius of curvature with an arc joining intersections of the straight lines and a carcass layer have a relationship such that, on the vehicle outer side, a radius of curvature of the carcass layer is large with respect to a radius of curvature of the tire external contour, and on the vehicle inner side, a radius of curvature of the carcass layer is small with respect to a radius of curvature of the tire external contour.
