DISHWASHER SUMP AND DISHWASHER APPARATUS
A dishwashing apparatus may include a sump. The sump may include a sump pan configured to couple with a wash chamber of the dishwashing apparatus. The sump may include a sump well coupled to the sump pan and configured to collect the liquid from the sump pan. The sump well may include a well inlet in communication with the sump pan. The sump pan may convey the liquid to the well inlet. A recirculation port extending through a first wall of the sump well. A drain port may extend through a second wall of the sump well. The second wall defines a bottom of the sump well. The dishwashing apparatus may include a controller. The controller may monitor electrical characteristics of a pump. The controller may provide a notification if fluid is not flowing through the pump.

Low Cost Sensor System
The invention relates to a low cost sensor array suitable for use in a ware washing machine, preferably a dish washing machine. The invention also relates to a standalone detergent dispensing device comprising the low cost sensor array. The sensor systems are intended to allow monitoring of wash cycles such that controlled sequential dosing of reagents in wash cycles can be optimized. A device comprising such a sensor system may then be able to sense the conditions of the wash and dose reagents in their optimal sequence in the wash.
Automatic dosing method
An automated dosing method for dosing a chemical in a tunnel dishwasher includes the steps of: detecting a rinse signal from a supplying solenoid valve for supplying a rinse water of the dishwasher; dosing a detergent amount apt to be inserted in a washing liquid, at a first load configuration of the dishwasher, for obtaining a washing mixture; and dosing a further detergent amount, apt to be inserted in the washing liquid for a restoration of the detergent in the washing mixture at an operating configuration of the dishwasher. The dosing step of a further detergent amount is performed periodically according to a predetermined time frequency.
System and method for reducing energy consumption by a medium heating device
A method for reducing energy consumption by a medium heating device, the method comprising the step: scheduling an operation (501) of the first device (111) requiring heating of a first medium; scheduling an operation (502) of the second device (112) requiring heating of a second medium; the method being characterized in that it further comprises the steps of: sending (504), from the first device (111), information regarding its operation cycles and water parameters to the second device (112); rescheduling (505) operations of the liaised devices (111, 112) so that drain heat of the first medium is reused to heat a fresh intake of the second medium by the second device by means of a heat exchanger (160); instructing (506), the reprogrammed devices (111, 112) to start their operations according to the new schedule.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE EQUIPPED WITH FLOOD PROTECTION
A dishwasher appliance equipped with flood protection features that proactively attempt to prevent, stop, and/or mitigate flood events is provided. The dishwasher appliance may also include features for determining the cause of the flood event. Moreover, methods for flood protection of the dishwasher appliance are also provided.
Warewash machine cleaning notification and in-situ dilution process
A warewash machine includes in-situ tank soil load reduction that involves at least one of: (i) prior to addition of fresh water, draining the collection tank via a path that exits the collection tank at a location lower than a primary overflow path until wash liquid level in the collection tank drops below a standard operating level, and thereafter adding fresh water; or (ii) draining the collection tank via a path that exits the collection tank at a location lower than a primary overflow path while simultaneously adding fresh water; or (iii) adding fresh water such that wash liquid level in the collection tank rises above a standard operating level, and thereafter carrying out draining of the collection tank.

Home Appliance
The present invention relates to a home appliance, in particular, a dishwasher, a washing machine or the like, and a method for controlling said home appliance. The home appliance comprises a water supply unit including a water supply port, for supplying water, like fresh water or drinking water to the home appliance, a water reservoir for storing water supplied to the home appliance by the water supply unit, a treatment space for treating objects in the home appliance, like dishes or laundry, at least one pump unit for circulating water inside the treatment space and for discharging water from the treatment space and a control unit for controlling the operation of the home appliance. In the inventive home appliance, a heat exchanger is arranged between the water supply unit and the water reservoir, for exchanging heat between the water supplied to the reservoir and the water discharged from the treatment space by the at least one pump unit.
DISHWASHER AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes and the cooking utensils by spraying washing water, and a control method thereof. The control method of a dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a water supply step of opening a water supply valve to supply washing water to the sump; and a variable spray step of spraying the washing water by at least one of the plurality of spray arms by changing the number of revolutions of the washing pump stepwise, so that the washing water can be sprayed evenly.
