Tire Assembly and Tire Deformation State Determination System
A tire assembly includes a tire and a shape measurement unit utilizing magnetism. The shape measurement unit is provided with one device of a magnetic generator or a magnetic sensor configured to detect a distance of separation from the magnetic generator based on a magnetic field generated by the magnetic generator to acquire a deformation state of a sidewall, in a first region that is any one of a tread-portion-corresponding region and bead-portion-corresponding regions that are on an inner surface of the tire, the tread-portion-corresponding region corresponding to a tread portion and the bead-portion-corresponding regions corresponding to bead portions, and is provided with another of the magnetic generator or the magnetic sensor in a second region.
MAGNETIC/OSMOTIC INNER TUBE
Various embodiments are directed to a magnetic and osmotic inner tube for insertion in vehicle tires. The magnetic and osmotic inner tube may include a nonpermeable membrane ring coupled to a semipermeable membrane ring, an O-ring, and a group of polar magnets. The nonpermeable membrane ring may be coated with a sealant and store hypertonic fluid and plugging materials. The semipermeable membrane ring may store hypotonic fluid and plugging materials. When a vehicle tire is punctured by an object, the hypotonic fluid and the plugging materials are drawn by osmosis through the semipermeable membrane ring into the hypertonic fluid of the nonpermeable membrane ring to create an osmotic pressure on the nonpermeable membrane ring that causes the O-ring to seal the puncture. The polar magnets may be arranged, in parallel, to generate opposing magnetic forces that create a magnetic field that supports a vehicle weight.
PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH NOISE SUPPRESSING MEMBER, TIRE/RIM ASSEMBLY, AND NOISE SUPPRESSING MEMBER
A pneumatic tire with a noise suppressing member has: a pneumatic tire that has a belt layer structured to include a steel cord; a noise suppressing member that is formed from a sheet-shaped member, and that has convex portions, which are convex from an inner surface side of a tire toward a cavity interior, in order to suppress cavity resonance of the pneumatic tire; and magnets that are attached to the noise suppressing member, and at which attractive force is generated between the magnets and the steel cord, and that holds the noise suppressing member at an inner surface of the tire.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PNEUMATIC TIRE
A method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire provided with a magnetic portion containing powder particles of hard magnetic material in the tread portion which comprises a drilling step of drilling a hole in an unvulcanized tread portion forming member; a magnetic piece embedding step of embedding a magnetic piece containing the powder particles of hard magnetic material in the hole as the magnetic portion; a green tire molding step of molding a green tire using the tread portion forming member in which the magnetic piece is embedded; and a vulcanizing step of vulcanizing the green tire, and this method makes it possible to finish the tire in a designed shape without causing occurrence of abnormal unevenness on the surface, even when a magnetic piece for detecting a worn state of the tire is embedded.
Floating armature
Devices and systems are provided to isolate and/or reduce vibration from a charging panel. A system for reducing vibration between a charging panel of an electric vehicle and the electric vehicle may include a charging panel, an armature coupled to the charging panel, and a floating section, wherein the armature is between the floating section and the charging panel.
Spherical wheel/tire assembly
A support assembly for a vehicle travels along a road surface and rotates relative to the road surface and the vehicle. The first support assembly includes a spherical tread layer for contacting the road surface, a foam layer adjacent the spherical tread layer, the foam layer including adjustable elements for altering an outer physical contour of the spherical tread layer, the outer physical contour contacting the road surface, a spherical wheel/tire for supporting the spherical tread layer and the vehicle, and a drive system magnetically driving rotation of the spherical wheel/tire relative to the vehicle such that no portion of the spherical tread layer physically contacts the vehicle.
MAGNETIC TIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a magnetic tire protection system incorporating one or a plurality of magnets arranged internally within a tire such that the magnetic field produced by each respective magnet repels magnetic objects within the road or operating environment away from the tire. The magnetic tire protection system may incorporate electromagnets with corresponding power sources to selectively produce the magnetic field produced by each respective electromagnet when it near a surface on which a tire is operating.
Tire with magnetic tread wear sensor and tread wear monitoring method
This invention relates to tire tread wear monitoring. A sacrificial magnet portion is arranged in a tread of the tire so that it undergoes wear along with the tread and generates a useful magnetic field signal indicative of remaining tread thickness. With a magnetic field sensor arranged on or in the tire, an overall magnetic field signal is measured, which includes the useful magnetic field signal, and a superimposed interfering magnetic field signal generated by magnetizable material contained in the tire. A non-sacrificial magnet portion is used to saturate the magnetizable material at least locally so as to make the interfering magnetic field signal sensed by the magnetic field sensor substantially independent of the useful magnetic field signal sensed by the magnetic field sensor. Further aspects of the invention relate to tires, e.g., vehicle tires, featuring a tire tread wear monitoring system.
Tire having a device for generating rotation-dependent signals
A tire, in particular cycle tire, with a device for generating rotation-dependent signals, in which the device is arranged in the tire or is connected to the tire and has a signal-generating element, which is held in a retaining element connected positively or non-positively to the tire body. The receiving element is arranged substantially on the outside of strengthening elements or reinforcing elements of the tire and the signal-generating element is held in the retaining element in such a way that the signal-generating element forms part of the outer surface of the tire or protrudes beyond the outer surface of the tire.
