Pneumatic Tire and Method for Manufacturing Same
Provided are a pneumatic tire with improved air dispersibility in a reinforcing layer including steel cords during vulcanization and with effectively suppressed blistering, and a method of manufacturing the same. In the pneumatic tire according to the present technology including a reinforcing layer (10) including a plurality of aligned steel cords (11) coated with coating rubber (12), at least one thread (13) for extending in a longitudinal direction of the steel cords (11) is disposed between the steel cords (11) in the coating rubber (12).
CONTROL VALVE FOR AN AIR MAINTENANCE TIRE
A control valve suitable for use with a tire and pump assembly is described that controls the flow of air from the pump into the tire. The control valve includes an optional bi-directional feature. The pathways alternatively operate to deliver ambient non-pressurized air to the air pumping tube in response to directional tire rotation against a ground surface.
Tire comprising cables for reinforcing the carcass having low perviousness, and textile threads associated with the carcass reinforcement
A tire having a radial carcass reinforcement, composed of at least one layer of metal reinforcing elements, the said tire comprising a crown reinforcement, itself topped radially by a tread, the said tread being joined to two beads via two sidewalls. The metal reinforcing elements of at least one layer of the carcass reinforcement are cords exhibiting, in the permeability test, a flow rate of less than 20 cm.sup.3/min and at least one layer of the carcass reinforcement is provided, on at least one face, with textile threads exhibiting, in the permeability test, a flow rate of between 1 and 3 cm.sup.3/min.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Provided is a pneumatic tire comprising a carcass 1 as a skeletal structure composed of at least one carcass ply extending toroidally between a pair of bead portions 11, at least one layer of a belt 2 located on the outer side of the carcass in the tire radial direction of the crown portion. The tire is provided with a cushion rubber 13C and a tread rubber 13G forming a tread portion in turn on the outer side of the belt in the tire radial direction, and a composite fiber 3 containing a conductive fiber and a non-conductive fiber is extended at least from the pair of bead portions to portions in contact with the cushion rubber or a pair of belt under cushions, so as to expose the composite fiber to both surfaces of the carcass at the outer and inner sides of the tire.
