Apparatus and method for vehicle wheel-end fluid pumping
A vehicle control system may include a wheel end unit attachable to the wheel-end of a wheeled vehicle. The system may employ a plurality of pumps to supply compressed air to a tire associated with the wheel-end. The pumps may be supplied with energy transferred from torque generated by a pendulum, the energy transmitted through a non-circular gearing system.
Process and device of control and regulation of the pressure of tyres adapting to changes in load applied thereto
A process and a device of control and regulation of the pressure of tyres apt to ensure the adaptation of the footprint of a tyre to changes in the load applied thereto. The process includes the following steps: measuring the pressure of the tyre, measuring the footprint or the deflection of the tyre, determining a calculated value of footprint or of deflection in function of said optimum value of pressure, said calculated value of footprint or of deflection being determined by means of a correlation, based on experimental data, of values of pressure, footprint or deflection and applied load,
if said calculated value of footprint or of deflection is different from respectively said measured value of footprint or of deflection: modifying the pressure of the tyre to reduce the difference between said measured value of pressure and said optimum value of pressure.
AXLE PRESSURE SETTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A vehicle including a chassis, a lift axle coupled to the chassis and including a tractive element, a lift actuator coupled to the lift axle, a location sensor configured to provide location data indicating a location of the vehicle, and a controller operatively coupled to the lift actuator and the location sensor and configured to control the lift actuator to reposition the lift axle based on the location data.
COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY HAVING A MAGNETIC COUPLING
A compressor assembly (10) for supplying pressure medium to a tire cavity (7) of a tire of a vehicle wheel, which can be mounted on a wheel hub (4) that is mounted on a wheel carrier (3) for rotation about an axis of rotation (32). The compressor assembly (10) includes a hub-side compression chamber (16) and a compressor component (18). A pressure medium is conducted into the tire cavity (7) upon being pressurized in the compression chamber (16) by oscillating translational motion of the compressor component (18). The compressor assembly (10) includes a transmission (20) that converts a rotational motion between the wheel carrier side and the wheel hub side into an oscillating translational motion of the compressor component (18) when a hub-side transmission part (24) is in an operating position with a wheel-carrier-side transmission part (26).
Wheel valve assembly and the tire inflation system made therewith
A wheel valve assembly having a body portion coupled with a cover portion. A diaphragm disposed between the body portion and the cover portion. A first biasing member disposed between the cover portion and the diaphragm in a cover cavity defined thereby. A control cavity defined by the body portion and the diaphragm, and at least one control port defined by the body portion and in fluid communication with the control cavity. A tire port defined by the body portion and in selective fluid communication with the control cavity. A first and second conduit disposed in the body portion in fluid communication with a third and fourth conduit disposed in the cover portion. An equalization valve assembly disposed in one of the conduits to control fluid communication between the cover cavity and the control cavity.
Comprehensive tire pressure maintenance system
A comprehensive tire pressure maintenance system for use with motor vehicles that includes a TPMS with an externally mounted battery, tubular battery configured for deployment on a valve stem configured to accommodate deployment of the tubular battery, a self-inflating pressure-optimizing tire arrangement, and a self-inflating run-flat tire arrangement and a wireless tire pressure gauge.
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
The present invention discloses a tire pressure sensor identification method, a related apparatus and system. A tire pressure sensor identification apparatus in the present invention includes a storage module configured to store identity information of a tire pressure sensor, a communications module configured to communicate with an electronic control unit (ECU) of a vehicle, a processing module and a radio frequency transmission module configured to output identity information. The tire pressure sensor identification apparatus may output the stored identity information to a corresponding vehicle, so that the vehicle can still identify the tire pressure sensor even if the tire pressure sensor is not in an activated state. It is convenient for a user to perform a uniform identification operation after uniformly collecting the identity information, thereby improving identification efficiency of the tire pressure sensor. A tire pressure sensor identification system and a corresponding tire pressure sensor identification method adopting the tire pressure sensor identification apparatus also have a same technical effect.
BICYCLE TIRE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM
A system for regulating pressure in one or more vessels by adapting a fluid input to receive a fluid from a fluid source such as an air compressor at a constant pressure. At least one fluid outlet assembly is used to attach the system to a vessel such as a bike tire, ball, or car tire. At least one controllable valve is used to couple the fluid outlet assembly to the fluid input, the valve is controllable to pulsate air going through it, check the new pressure in the vessel, and either continue to increase pressure in the vessel, decrease pressure, or stop inflating. A pressure sensor corresponding to a fluid outlet assembly adaptable to provide pressure values from each vessel to a controller. The controller receives at least one desired pressure input, compares that value to the pressure value from the at least one pressure sensor, and selectively energizes the controllable valve to adjust the pressure in the corresponding vessel until the pressure within the vessel is equal to the desired pressure.
WHEEL POSITION DETECTING DEVICE
In a tire-mounted sensor attached to a tire, the rotation direction of which is predetermined with respect to the direction of forward movement, a left/right determination as to which of a right wheel or a left wheel has the tire-mounted sensor attached thereto is made on the basis of a detection signal of an acceleration sensor. The result of left/right determination is transmitted to a receiver. In this way, without requesting an operator's manual operation or equipment for bidirectional communication, which of the right wheel or the left wheel has the tire-mounted sensor attached thereto can be determined.
TIRE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A tire management system includes a control valve and a check valve. A method for managing a tire includes: determining a pressure parameter value, determining an operational parameter for a valve based on the pressure parameter value, and controlling the valve based on the operational parameter.
