DISHWASHER, METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISHWASHER, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A dishwasher includes a dishwasher interior for washing items to be washed with washing liquor. Arranged at a lower end of the dishwasher interior is a pump sump for collecting the washing liquor, and a sensor is arranged in the pump sump for outputting a sensor signal as a function of a presence of washing liquor at the sensor. A control apparatus configured to carry out a washing program selected from a number of washing programs is designed to determine a malfunction of a component of a hydraulic assembly as a function of the sensor signal and of a current operating state of the dishwasher.
A DISHWASHING MACHINE AND METHOD
Dishwashing machine comprising: a controller; a spray arm assembly comprising a spray arm having one or more spray holes for spraying a washing load with water, and a pipe for delivering water to the spray arm; a pump for pumping water through the pipe and to the spray arm; the pipe being constructed and arranged to at least partially restrict flow of water from the pump to at least a part of the spray arm dependent on spray arm orientation relative to the pipe, a power consumption of the pump thereby being dependent at least in part on the spray arm orientation relative to the pipe; and the controller being configured to monitor the power consumption of the pump in order to determine rotational information of the spray arm.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF OPERATING
A dishwasher and method of operating a dishwasher according to a cycle of operation are described herein. The dishwasher includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a rotatable spray arm comprising a nozzle outlet, and a liquid supply conduit fluidly coupled to the spray arm. A pump can be fluidly coupled to the liquid supply conduit and operated to flow liquid through an aperture in the liquid supply conduit.
Process water flow detection in circulation pump
Provided are a method of detecting a change in process water flow of a circulation pump in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods, and an appliance performing the method. An appliance for washing and rinsing goods may be provided including a circulation pump, a sensing arrangement arranged to measure a property indicating torque of the circulation pump, and a controller. The controller may be arranged to average a first set of values of the measured property, thereby creating a first average, average at least a further set of values of the measured property, thereby creating at least one further average, compare the first average with the at least one further average, and to detect change in process water flow of the circulation pump based on a difference between the first average and the at least one further average.
DISHWASHER, IN PARTICULAR DOMESTIC DISHWASHER
A dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, includes: a washing container having a washing compartment and which receives washing items to be cleaned; and a heat pump device which has an evaporator which is arranged within a tank filled with water. The tank is fluidically connected to the washing container and to a fresh water inlet device. The tank is arranged below the washing container and has a top wall facing a washing container bottom.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISHWASHER
A dishwasher includes a pump device operated by a pump current for supply of washing liquor to a first spray device via a first hydraulic arrangement for providing a first washing zone and to a second spray device via a second hydraulic arrangement for providing a second washing zone. A third spray device is connected to one of the first and second hydraulic arrangements for providing an intensive washing zone. In a first switching state, the third spray device is isolated from the one hydraulic arrangement, and in a second switching state the third spray device is connected to the one hydraulic arrangement. A control device determines a current switching state of the third spray device as a function of a difference between the pump current when washing liquor is supplied to the first hydraulic arrangement and when washing liquor is supplied to the second hydraulic arrangement.
Rack detection system for child safety and a method of controlling a dishwasher
A rack detection system for a dishwasher, including: a docking system including a plug disposed on a rack, such as a lower rack, and configured to dock with a docking hole of a water supply tube on condition that the lower rack is in an operational position within the dishwasher; and a controller configured to sense a load on the pump motor of a pump for pumping water to the water supply tube and determine if the load on the pump motor is within predetermined operating limits. On condition that the lower rack is removed from the operational position within the dishwasher and the plug is not docked with the water supply tube such that water flows out of the docking hole, the controller is configured to sense that the load on the pump motor is outside the predetermined operating limits and shuts down the dishwasher.
Estimating water fill rate in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods
A method and corresponding appliance for carrying out the method may include detecting insufficient circulation pump pressure or process water flow rate through a circulation pump of the appliance, supplying water to a compartment of the appliance and logging a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment and increasing the speed of the circulation pump to a target pump speed where the circulation pump pressure or the process water flow rate through the circulation pump has reached a sufficient operational level. The method may include logging at least two circulation pump speeds and a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment, and estimating the water fill rate based on predetermined difference in compartment process water volume for the logged at least two speeds and the water supply time period.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND METHODS FOR ADDRESSING OBSTRUCTIONS THEREIN
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as detecting a pressure (P1) at a pressure sensor upstream from a pump while maintaining the pump in an inactive state and activating the pump from the inactive state for an activation period during which the pump remains active to motivate a continuous fluid flow. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P2) at the pressure sensor upstream from the pump during the activation period and initiating a response sequence at the pump based on P1 and P2.
