DISH WASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
Provided are a dish washing machine capable of effectively removing garbage which remains at the bottom of a washing tub and a filter and a method of controlling the same. When washing water is sprayed from a nozzle while a vane is positioned at a reference position during a drainage operation, since a deflection angle of the vane is bent back and the washing water is strongly sprayed toward a rear wall of a washing tub, the washing water may form a fast and strong water current over a bottom plate of the washing tub, and the fast and strong water current may remove garbage which remains at a filter while flowing over the bottom of the washing tub. Also, even when an excessive amount of garbage is accumulated at a filter at a top end of a sump and blocks the filter during a washing operation such as preliminary washing, main washing, etc., the filter is automatically washed using a small amount of water, thereby eliminating inconvenience of a user to directly separate and wash the filter. Also, washing performance may be effectively improved by precisely determining whether degradation in washing performance caused by a poor circulation of washing water occurs due to a filter blockage or generation of bubbles.
Filter assembly for a dishwasher
A dishwasher with a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a liquid spraying system, a liquid recirculation system defining a recirculation flow path, and a liquid filtering system. The liquid filtering system includes a rotatable filter disposed in the recirculation flow path to filter the liquid and a diverter overlying and spaced from at least a portion of the upstream surface to form a gap there between.
DISHWASHER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a dishwasher and a control method therefor, the dishwasher comprising: a tub for providing a washing space; a sump for collecting the washing water sprayed into the tub; a spraying arm having first and second channels, in each of which the washing water separately flows, and a plurality of spraying holes for discharging the washing water, which flows into each channel, in a preset direction; a supply pump including an impeller and a motor for rotating the impeller, and supplying the washing water, which is stored in the sump, to the spraying arm; a channel switching unit for selectively supplying the washing water to the first channel or the second channel according to the driving of the supply pump; and a control unit for controlling the driving of the motor, wherein a control unit controls the driving of the motor such that the washing water is selectively supplied to the first channel or the second channel, on the basis of a value of an electric current flowing into the motor.
Method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance
A method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance, such as a dishwasher, includes filling the water-conducting domestic appliance with a minimum amount of filling water that is circulated by a pump, and checking a water flow diverter for malfunctions and determining from an operational parameter of an electromotor that drives the pump whether the pump runs smoothly, thereby indicating whether the quantity of filling water corresponds to at least a nominal quantity of filling water. When the water flow diverter is not malfunctioning, the pump is again checked for smooth running or a refilling step is carried out to increase the minimum amount of filling water. Conversely, when the water flow diverter is malfunctioning, the check for smooth running or the refilling step are omitted.
Filter assembly for a dishwasher
A dishwasher with a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a liquid spraying system, a liquid recirculation system defining a recirculation flow path, and a liquid filtering system. The liquid filtering system includes a rotating filter disposed in the recirculation flow path to filter the liquid.
Dish washer and method for controlling same
Provided are a dish washing machine and a controlling method thereof. Accumulation at a filter at a top end of a sump and that may block the filter during washing such as preliminary washing, main washing, etc., is washed, thereby eliminating the inconvenience of having to separate and wash the filter, and effectively improves performance by avoiding poor circulation of water that may occur due to a filter blockage or generation of bubbles.
PUMP INLET ASSEMBLIES FOR DISHWASHER APPLIANCES
A pump inlet assembly and method of operating a dishwasher appliance are provided. The pump inlet assembly includes an inlet conduit providing fluid communication between a sump and a pump. The inlet conduit defines an integrally formed boss which is coupled with a sensor housing using an overmolding process. A pressure sensor is positioned in the sensor housing and is protected from wash fluid by an airgap defined by the boss. The measured pressure may be used to determine the water level within the dishwasher when the pump is not operating and the suction pressure within the inlet conduit when the pump is operating. The inlet conduit, boss, pressure sensor, and pump housing may be integrally formed by injection molding and/or overmolding processes to reduce costs and the likelihood of leaks.
Detecting filter clogging
The present invention relates to a method of, and a device for, detecting clogging of a dishwasher filter. The device is arranged to drain the dishwasher on process water, measure operating current of a motor driving a dishwasher drain pump and determine whether the dishwasher filter is clogged based on the measured drain pump motor operating current.
Dishwasher and a method for controlling the same
A dishwasher is provided. The dishwasher may include a tub forming a washing space, a sump collecting washing water, a tank forming a storage space outside the tub, a motor generating a dynamic force to supply the washing water collected in the sump to the tank, and a controller incrementally increasing a water level of the tank by intermittently driving the motor.
