ANTI-SKID DEVICE
This present invention relates to an anti-skid device adapted to being mounted on tyres of the vehicle wheels to provide traction and wheel to ground contact enhancement in snowy and icy conditions. The device includes a central housing (2) from which protrudes radially three arms (3) which are extended at the outer end by anti-slip components (10) transversally embracing the tread of the tyre. The anti-skid device has a locking mechanism that consists of a locking element (24) with teeth engaging with teeth on the inner circumference of the housing (2). A handle 16 integrated into the hub (4) interfaces with the locking element (24) to securely maintain the locked status when the device is mounted onto the wheel.
Anti-skid chain having a rotation-blocking element between adjacent chain links
The invention relates to an anti-skid chain for tires, in particular for bogie axles, wherein the anti-skid chain has two laterally stable guide chains which, when installed, are arranged to the side of the treads of the tires, wherein the anti-skid chain has a flexible chain mesh which extends between the two guide chains, and wherein at least one guide chain has chain links which are interconnected in an articulated manner by means of joint pins in the circumferential direction, and at least one rotation-blocking element by means of which a maximum joint angle between two interconnected chain links is defined. In order to prevent lateral pulling of the anti-skid chain and, at the same time, to provide an anti-skid chain that is easy to produce, according to the invention, a part of the rotation-blocking element is located on at least one of the joint pins
Anti-skid device
This present invention relates to an anti-skid device adapted to being mounted on tyres of the vehicle wheels to provide traction and wheel to ground contact enhancement in snowy and icy conditions. The device includes a central hub from which protrudes radially three arms which are extended at the outer end by anti-slip components transversally embracing the tread of the tyre. The inner area of the anti-slip components in contact with the tread is designed to increase friction to prevent circumferential displacement of the anti-skid device. When the car is moving a horizontal depression is formed at tyre-ground contact and this provokes a change in wheel radius. Integrated springs follows the depression by moving radially inwards to ensure that the anti-skid device stays attached to the tyre even when an anti-slip component is at the ground contact point at the bottom of wheel. A fastening handle integrated into the hub secures the device on the wheel by simultaneously tightening the arms radially inwards.
