DISHWASHER, METHOD AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HANDLING CLOGGING CONDITION
A method for handling a clogging condition in a dishwasher may include detecting the clogging condition; upon detecting the clogging condition, interrupting a wash cycle of the dishwasher and executing a remedial operation to remove the clogging condition. The remedial operation may include executing a drain operation for a predetermined drain time during which a drain pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to drain water from a sump of the dishwasher; following the drain operation, executing a fill operation for a predetermined fill time during which a fill valve may be continuously or intermittently activated to add water to the dishwasher; and following the fill operation, executing a circulation operation during which a circulation pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to remove the clogging condition. A dishwasher and a control system for handling a clogging condition are also provided.
DISHMACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes one or more features directed to water, energy or material savings. The disclosed dishmachines are still capable of meeting the soil demands of the articles to be cleaned.
CONTROL OF A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A method for the process programming of a household appliance includes the following steps: receiving a sequential program by the household appliance; checking the sequential program with respect to a predetermined device condition by the household appliance; and releasing the sequence of the sequential program in the household appliance as a function of the result of the check.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE EQUIPPED WITH FLOOD PROTECTION
A dishwasher appliance equipped with flood protection features that proactively attempt to prevent, stop, and/or mitigate flood events is provided. The dishwasher appliance may also include features for determining the cause of the flood event. Moreover, methods for flood protection of the dishwasher appliance are also provided.
DISHWASHER SPRAY FILL
Provided are systems, methods, and apparatus for spraying water in a dishwasher. A dishwasher may include a wash chamber and at least one dish rack. The dishwasher may include a water inlet selectively connected to a dish spray device, which may connect a dish spray conduit with the wash chamber. The dish spray device may be oriented towards the at least one dish rack, such that the spray device may be configured to direct water onto the dishes for washing. The water inlet may be selectively connected to a fill device, which may connect the fill conduit with the wash chamber. The fill device may be configured to provide water to the circulation assembly without impinging the at least one dish rack. The one or more valves may selectively direct water from the water inlet to one or both of the dish spray device and the fill device.
Warewash machine cleaning notification and in-situ dilution process
A warewash machine includes in-situ tank soil load reduction that involves at least one of: (i) prior to addition of fresh water, draining the collection tank via a path that exits the collection tank at a location lower than a primary overflow path until wash liquid level in the collection tank drops below a standard operating level, and thereafter adding fresh water; or (ii) draining the collection tank via a path that exits the collection tank at a location lower than a primary overflow path while simultaneously adding fresh water; or (iii) adding fresh water such that wash liquid level in the collection tank rises above a standard operating level, and thereafter carrying out draining of the collection tank.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCE AND FILTER HAVING A VISUAL FILL VOLUME INDICATION
A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a sump, and a filter assembly. The tub may be positioned within the cabinet and define a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The sump may be positioned at a bottom portion of the tub along a vertical direction. The sump may include an internal wall defining a collection chamber. The filter assembly may be at least partially received within the collection chamber. The filter assembly may include a top cap extending above the collection chamber. The top cap may include a fixed indicium calibrated to a predetermined fill volume of the dishwashing appliance.
METHOD OF DIAGNOSING LEVEL SENSOR FAILURE IN FUEL CELL WATER TRAP AND CONTROL UNIT USING THE SAME
A method of diagnosing level sensor failure in a fuel cell water trap, the method may include: determining whether a water level of a level sensor is changed in a fuel cell water trap, adding an amount of charge according to an operating time and comparing the added amount of charge with a preset threshold amount of charge, according to the result of the, forcibly opening a drain valve according to determining whether a channel voltage of a specific channel is abnormal as the result of the comparison, and diagnosing a failure of the level sensor according to determining whether the channel voltage of the specific cell is recovered as a normal state when the drain valve is opened.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE SUPPLY OF A LEVEL OF A LIQUID CONTAINED IN A VESSEL
A method includes actuating a pump at a constant nominal flow-rate to induce liquid flow out of a vessel through an outlet duct. The outlet duct communicates with the vessel with an upper aperture at an intermediate level height, and a lower aperture at a reduced level height. Flow of liquid is detected in the outlet duct. A digital signal assumes an alternate sequence of states when the liquid level is between the intermediate and reduced levels. Each state is an air-indicating state or liquid-indicating state. The presence or absence of air bubbles is detected in the flow of liquid. The digital signal is compared with a reference signal having a predetermined sequence of air-indicating states and liquid-indicating states. Pump actuation duration is modified as a function of a difference between the digital and reference signals. An apparatus is controls the supply of a liquid level in a vessel.
Dishmachine
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes one or more features directed to water, energy or material savings. The disclosed dishmachines are still capable of meeting the soil demands of the articles to be cleaned.
