DEFLATION SAFETY SYSTEM AND SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME

A system is disclosed. The system includes an adapter member and a safety member. The adapter member includes a fill valve, an internal passageway and a boss member positioned within a multi-piece wheel. The safety member is removably connected to the adapter member, and covers nuts which removably connect a first piece of the multi-piece wheel to a second piece of the multi-piece wheel.

Valve connector

A valve connector comprises a body including an inlet port, an outlet port defining a longitudinal axis, at least one aperture extending between an exterior surface of the body and the outlet port. The valve connector also comprises a sleeve arranged about the exterior surface of the body and movable relative to the body between a clamping position and a release position and a biasing member applying a biasing force against the sleeve towards the clamping position. The valve connector further comprises a clamping mechanism including at least one clamping member arranged at least partially within the aperture. When the valve is received in the outlet port, the clamping member is inwardly displaceable into the outlet port in response to the biasing force biasing the sleeve toward the clamping position, such that the clamping member engages the valve.

Method and system for pressurization of depressurized objects

Methods and systems are provided for using a forced induction system of an engine on-board a vehicle as a source of compressed air to pressurize depressurized objects on-board and external to the vehicle. In one example, a method may include, in response to a pressure of the depressurized object being below a threshold pressure while the engine is off, fluidly coupling a discharge of a forced induction system to the depressurized object, wherein the engine includes the forced induction system, and pressurizing the depressurized object by supplying electrical power to the forced induction system.

A valve stem cover includes a cylindrical cap open at a bottom end thereof and threaded with threads on an inside surface thereof. The cylindrical cap is adapted for threaded engagement with a threaded tire valve stem that projects through a wheel rim. A skirt projects downwardly from the bottom end of the cylindrical cap and is adapted to cover substantially a lower portion of a threaded tire valve stem that projects through the wheel rim. A decorative top portion projects upwardly from a top end of the cylindrical cap and can be removable for interchangeability.

Steer axle tire inflation system

A steer axle spindle may have one or more channels formed therein. A rotary union may be mounted to a steer axle wheel end assembly. The rotary union may be sealingly connected to a pressurized fluid source through the channel, and sealingly connected to a vehicle tire.
