VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR A TIRE PRESSURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A valve assembly for a tire pressure management system includes a housing having a first perforation and a second perforation. The first perforation is selectively in fluid communication with the second perforation. A shuttle assembly is provided in the housing. A failsafe piston is connected to the shuttle assembly. A first biasing member applies a bias to the failsafe piston. A second biasing member applies a bias to the shuttle assembly. When a pressure differential between a pressure in the second perforation and a pressure in the first perforation is at or below a predetermined value, the bias applied by the first biasing member urges the failsafe piston toward the shuttle assembly to prevent fluid communication between the first perforation and the second perforation.

MOUNTING STEM FOR INFLATION VALVE AND SENSOR

A mounting stem may receive an inflation valve and a tire pressure monitoring system sensor. The mounting stem may include a hollow stem including a distal end and a proximal end. The mounting stem may further include an enlarged dome formed on the proximal end and defining a dome shoulder facing distally for engaging a wheel rim. The dome may include a dome height extending proximally from the dome shoulder. The mounting stem may also include a longitudinal bore extending along a longitudinal axis from the distal end partially into the dome. A plurality of lateral bores may communicate the longitudinal bore with an outer surface of the dome, and may include lateral bore diameters at least 25% of the dome height. The lateral bores may be located closer to the proximal end than to the dome shoulder. The dome may also include a threaded TPMS mounting hole defined therein.

Rapid opening gas valve

A pneumatically operated gas valve mounted on a vessel containing pressurized gas. The gas valve includes a piston positioned in a cylinder with one closed end so that the piston seats against a gas outlet to close the gas valve. A control reservoir is formed in the cylinder between the piston and the closed end of the cylinder. Upon filling vessel, some of the pressurized gas enters the control reservoir to provide a control pressure behind the piston. Actuating the control mechanism vents the control reservoir, resulting in the gas valve opening rapidly to release the pressurized gas in the vessel through an exhaust port of the gas valve.

AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC AIR PUMP

An electronic air pump pressurizes object in either manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode, the electronic air pump determines air pressure needed to adjust an object to a set target pressure. The electronic air pump inflates or deflates the ball automatically until the air pressure inside the ball matches the preset value. In manual mode regulation of the air pressure is adjusted by a user.

SCREW-IN VALVE CONNECTOR

A screw-in valve connector includes a stationary connecting pipe with a pipe body and a drive portion. The pipe body includes an air intake portion, an air discharge portion, and a receiving hole. An elastic member is disposed in the receiving hole, and includes: a press end pressed against the air intake portion, and a force-receiving end. A stop includes: a lower end inserted in the force-receiving end, a stop end, an engaging portion between the lower and stop ends to stop against the force-receiving end, and an air passage penetrating the lower and stop ends. A positioning ring is sleeved onto the stop end to abut against the engaging portion, and includes a first threaded hole for threaded connection of a French valve. A rotary ring is pivotally connected to the air discharge portion, and includes a second threaded hole for threaded connection of an American valve.

Tire chuck adaptor

A tire chuck adaptor is an apparatus that allows a single user to easily fill a motorcycle tire with air. The tire chuck adaptor includes a sleeve, an extension coupler, an orientation coupler, an air chuck, a valve, a bearing, and a chuck receiving window. The sleeve contains the extension coupler, the orientation coupler, the valve, and the bearing. The valve allows a standard tire chuck to be engaged to the tire chuck adaptor. The bearing allows the valve to rotate within the sleeve. The extension coupler extends the connection between the valve and the standard tire chuck. The orientation coupler changes the connection orientation between the valve and the standard tire chuck. The air chuck allows the tire chuck adaptor to engage with a standard tire valve. The chuck receiving window allows a user to access the valve to engage with a standard tire chuck.

A COUPLING AND A VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR TUBELESS TIRES, AND RELATED FITTING METHOD
20190092108 · 2019-03-28 ·

A coupling for valve assemblies, for tubeless tires, includes an enclosure arranged to cover a rigid rim of a vehicle, to delimit a substantially tubular compartment, filled with gas under pressure. The coupling has a first element and a second element crossed respectively by a first through channel, threaded internally, and by a second through channel. The second element cooperates with a valve for the selective closure of the second channel. The first element rests on an internal surface of the rim, which can be activated following its hermetic insertion, from the inside of the compartment. The second element rests on an external surface of the rim, which can be activated following the hermetic screwing, from the outside of the compartment, of a threaded stem of the second element in the first channel, with consequent alignment between the channels to connect the compartment to the outside.
