RETROFITTABLE SENSOR UNIT FOR CONTROLLING A DOSING DEVICE
A retrofittable sensor unit for controlling a dosing device of a cleaning machine includes an acquisition module having at least one sensor for capturing measurement variables, at least one monitoring unit for determining a current degree of soiling of articles for cleaning on the basis of the captured measurement variables, a communication unit configured to communicate with at least one dosing device, in particular to transmit a dosing command to at least one dosing device depending on the current degree of soiling of the articles for cleaning. The retrofittable sensor unit can be arranged separately from the dosing device.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A dishwasher and a control method thereof are disclosed. The dishwasher includes a tub accommodating an object to be washed, a spray arm rotatably provided inside the tub to spray wash water toward the object to be washed, a sump for storing wash water and collecting wash water sprayed into the tub therein, a filter separably mounted to the sump to remove foreign substances from wash water, a wash pump for supplying wash water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a circulation passage for diverting at least a portion of the wash water supplied to the spray arm by the wash pump to the sump. After the dishes are washed, all of the wash water introduced into the wash pump is diverted into the filter. Foreign substances present in the wash water are collected in the filter and are discharged outside along with the wash water.
CHEMICAL PRODUCT DISPENSING USING A FLUID DRIVE AND RETURN HOME INTERFACE
A fluid-driven chemical product dispensing system dispenses fluid chemical product concentrates. The dispensing system includes a fluid drive unit powered by flow of a fluid, such as a diluent, and a pump which delivers the fluid chemical product concentrate from a supply to a destination. Upon exit from the fluid drive unit, the diluent is also delivered to the destination, where it mixes with the dispensed fluid chemical product concentrate to form a use solution. The dilution ratio of the volume of fluid chemical product concentrate dispensed per unit time versus the volume of diluent exiting the drive unit per unit time is constant over a defined range of diluent flow rates.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE INCLUDING A MOUNTABLE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION MODULE
A household appliance that includes a selectively mountable wireless communication module. The selectively mountable wireless communication module can be selectively mounted in a toe kick area of the household appliance. The household appliance can be, but is not limited to, a dishwasher, an oven, a refrigerator, a freezer, a microwave, a washing machine, a dryer, or a combo washer-dryer.
Method for operating a washing appliance and washing appliance
A method for operating a laundry washing appliance having a washing chamber to wash laundry the method includes selecting a default washing temperature and/or a washing cycle having a default washing temperature; supplying a detergent to the washing chamber; and determining a type of the detergent which has been added. When the detergent is of a first type, then the method includes comparing the default washing temperature with a threshold temperature and if the default washing temperature is higher than the threshold temperature, then emitting a warning signal and/or changing said default washing temperature.
Low Cost Sensor System
The invention relates to a low cost sensor array suitable for use in a ware washing machine, preferably a dish washing machine. The invention also relates to a standalone detergent dispensing device comprising the low cost sensor array. The sensor systems are intended to allow monitoring of wash cycles such that controlled sequential dosing of reagents in wash cycles can be optimized. A device comprising such a sensor system may then be able to sense the conditions of the wash and dose reagents in their optimal sequence in the wash.
Device and method for determining the dirt load in a rinsing or detergent solution
A device for determining a dirt load in a rinsing or detergent solution in a water-conducting household appliance includes a sensor configured to execute a near-infrared spectroscopy for acquiring a spectral measured value of a dirt component in the rinsing or detergent solution in the water-conducting household appliance. A determination unit determines the dirt load of the rinsing or detergent solution on the basis of the acquired spectral measured value of the dirt component in the rinsing or detergent solution, and an adjustment unit adjusts a wash parameter of a current wash program in response to the determined dirt load.
DISHMACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes one or more features directed to water, energy or material savings. The disclosed dishmachines are still capable of meeting the soil demands of the articles to be cleaned.
METHOD FOR THE DOSING OF CLEANING AGENTS
A method for the dosing of cleaning agents in cleaning machines includes the steps: receiving the control information items; wherein the control information items are dependent on an information item about a cleaning machine; determining the progress of a cleaning operation; dosing of cleaning agent depending on the received control information items and the determined progress of the cleaning operation; wherein the information item about the cleaning machine can be manually input via a user interface.
