A dishwasher has a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to an automatic cycle of operation and a dispensing system for storing and dispensing a treating chemistry to the treating chamber during the cycle of operation. The dishwasher may dispense a treating chemistry when a temperature of a liquid in the treating chamber satisfies a predetermined temperature threshold. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained to satisfy the predetermined temperature threshold for a predetermined period of time based on the treating chemistry.

Washer such as a dishwasher or a washing machine and method for operating a washer

The invention relates to methods for operating a washer, and in preferred embodiments to a washer having a water tank that is integrally, preferably detachably, formed with the washer, wherein the washer comprises a washing chamber for accommodating goods to be cleaned, said washing chamber having in its lower portion a sump for collecting water during operation of the washer, a water inlet, a circulating pump for circulating water through the washing chamber, and a control unit for controlling a washing cycle carried out by the washer. In accordance with the invention, in this method water is fed via the water inlet into the sump; the pressure within an inlet or outlet conduit of the circulating pump is measured; and based on the pressure measurement the washing cycle is controlled and/or indicator signals are issued to a user of the washer.

Personalized cleaning composition dispensing device

A personalized cleaning composition dispensing device for use in an automatic dishwasher dispensing the right chemistry at the right time during a wash cycle to provide an improved cleaning performance compared to standard automatic dishwasher dispensers. The device includes wash cycle sensing system that controls the release of chemistry via temperature and water flow data measured during the current wash cycle and uses either a preprogrammed product release algorithm for new wash cycles or a modified product release algorithm based on wash cycle data previously stored in the data storage unit for repeated wash cycles.

The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher having a spray arm for spraying water to a lower rack and a tower nozzle for supplying water to an upper rack. The dishwasher may reduce (e.g., prevent) leakage of water from the tower nozzle, and may supply water to either the spray arm or to the tower nozzle through a rotating nozzle depending on a pressure of water.

DISH TREATING APPLIANCE WITH DIVERTER VALVE POSITION SENSING

A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation and including a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber receiving dishes for treatment according to the automatic cycle of operation, multiple sprayers emitting a liquid into the treating chamber, and a diverter valve having a manifold defining a plenum with an inlet and multiple outlets and a membrane movably mounted within the plenum and having at least one through opening, which is sequentially aligned with the multiple outlets upon movement of the membrane.

Method and cleaning device for cleaning items to be cleaned

A method for cleaning items to be cleaned is disclosed. A cleaning device is used that has at least one cleaning chamber and at least one applicator for applying at least one cleaning fluid to the items to be cleaned in the cleaning chamber. A desired hygiene value is prespecified. The method further includes time-resolved recording of at least two influencing variables which influence hygienization of the items to be cleaned. Hygiene share values are determined from the influencing variables using a prespecified relationship between each influencing variable and the respective hygiene value share of said influencing variable. An expected actual hygiene value at the end of the cleaning from the hygiene value shares is ascertained and compared with the desired hygiene value. At least one of the influencing variables is changed based on the comparison. An inventive cleaning device is also disclosed.

Dishwashing machine and method for controlling the same

Provided is a dishwashing machine determining whether a nozzle spraying washing water is clogged, and a method for controlling the same. In according to one aspect, the dishwashing machine may include a main body; a washing tub provided in the main body; a basket provided in the washing tub for accommodating dishes; a plurality of fixed nozzles fixedly arranged in a first direction of the washing tub and spraying washing water in a second direction; a vane provided for deflecting washing water sprayed from the fixed nozzles towards dishes accommodated in the basket, the vane being linearly reciprocated in the second direction; and a controller determining whether the vane is linearly reciprocated in the second direction in parallel with the first direction.

A wash or dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a door, a fluid pump, a controller, a low-power input sensor, and a conditioning circuit. The controller may be configured to alternate between an active operational mode and a standby mode. The low-power input sensor may be configured to detect a fluid-loss event at the dishwashing appliance at the standby mode of the controller and transmit a fluid-loss signal in response to detecting the fluid-loss event. The conditioning circuit may be attached to the cabinet in electrical communication with the low-power input sensor and separate from the controller. The conditioning circuit may be configured to receive the fluid-loss signal apart from the controller at the standby mode and initiate a mitigation action in response to receiving the fluid-loss signal.
