SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A vehicle suspension system includes left and right control arm assemblies each having a wheel mount structure, an upper control arm, and a lower control arm. Each control arm includes a first end configured to be pivotably connected to a frame structure of a vehicle and a second end rotatably connected to the wheel mount structure. The vehicle suspension system also includes a transverse leaf spring having an elongated body extending between the control arm assemblies, outer mounting brackets respectively connecting left and right ends of the elongated body to the left and right control arm assemblies, and one or more inner mounting brackets located between the outer mounting brackets. The transverse leaf spring is contoured such that a contoured portion of the elongated body deviates in a downward direction in order to extend below an electric drive system disposed within an internal space between rails of the frame structure.
CHASSIS COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CHASSIS COMPONENT OF THIS TYPE
A chassis component (1, 32) has a first end section (2), a second end section (3), and a connecting section (4) between the two end sections (2, 3), with at least one bearing (9, 10) in one of the two end sections (2, 3). A sensor device (13) has a sensor housing (14, 33) with a first sensor element (16). To improve and/or enable the arrangement of the sensor device (13) and/or the sensor housing (14) on the chassis component (1, 32), the two end sections (2, 3) and the connecting section (4) of the chassis are made as a one-piece profile (5) open on one side along its length, such that the open profile (5) forms an at least partially free inside space (17), and where the first sensor element (16) is located within the inside space (17).
SNAP-FIT HEIGHT SENSOR AND HEIGHT SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A snap-fit height sensor and a height sensor assembly. The snap-fit height sensor is fixed to a base by means of a mounting support. The height sensor comprises a sensor body and a swing arm capable of swinging relative to the sensor body. An engagement seat is provided on the sensor body, the engagement seat being capable of receiving the mounting support and being fitted and fixed to the mounting support. The snap-fit height sensor and height sensor assembly provided in the present utility model overcome the shortcomings in the prior art, such that the mounting support and sensor have a small mounting volume, a light weight and a low cost, with simple mounting steps, few components and high efficiency.
Single Wheel Swing Arm With Trough
An apparatus for pivotally fixing a non-driven wheel assembly to a vehicle frame is disclosed. The apparatus provides a trough through which non-driven wheel assembly components can be passed and protected. In one embodiment, the trough is circular in shape and is fully enclosed by the apparatus. In other embodiments, the trough has various shapes and comprises retaining members to secure and protect non-driven wheel assembly components. A suspension system interface is provided that allows the apparatus to suspend the non-driven wheel assembly. Openings used to pivotally and rigidly fix a mounting plate, suspension system, pivotal axes, and fender assemblies are also disclosed and claimed herein.
Tie rod
The tie rod is designed to elongate when subjected to an overload in tension that is placed on the tie rod. A plurality of threads and a reduced diameter section on the tie rod elongated when subjected to a tension overload that exceeds the design parameters of the tie rod. The elongation of the tie rod is designed to provide a warning to the operator of the vehicle that the tie rod has been subjected to an overload and should be inspected and repaired as needed. The deformation and elongation of the tie rod absorbs energy and protects other components of the steering and suspension systems of the vehicle.
VEHICLE SUSPENSION SPRING DEVICE AND VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed are a vehicle suspension spring device and a vehicle suspension system having the same. The vehicle suspension spring device includes a leaf spring unit comprising at least one leaf spring disposed in a lateral direction of a vehicle, a pair of first coupling parts provided at opposite ends of the leaf spring unit in a longitudinal direction and rotatably coupled to a pair of axles on which opposite wheels of the vehicle are mounted, and a pair of second coupling parts provided at two points between the opposite ends of the leaf spring unit in the longitudinal direction to be rotatably coupled to a subframe of the vehicle.
Chassis component
The invention relates to a chassis component having a base face which extends in a base face plane and an aperture for the introduction of a fixing means and two retention elements which are arranged at opposite sides of the aperture for retaining an eccentric element, wherein the retention elements are formed integrally and in a materially engaging manner from the base face of the chassis component, wherein the retention elements are displaced out of the base face by mechanical processing. The chassis component affords a simple ability to be produced and an increased service life during operation.
Compact control arm and suspension cylinder pivot
A work vehicle includes a chassis, a prime mover configured to move the chassis along a ground surface, and a suspension assembly that couples a wheel to the chassis. The suspension assembly includes a knuckle coupled to the wheel, a first suspension arm, and a suspension cylinder. The first suspension arm includes a first portion rotatably coupled to the chassis and a second portion extending away from the first portion and coupled to the knuckle. The suspension cylinder is rotatably coupled to the chassis and to a second suspension arm. The first suspension arm and the suspension cylinder are each configured to pivot relative to the chassis about a common pivot axis.
Seal having undulating seal component and systems, assemblies, and methods thereof
A sealing comprises a seal portion and a plate portion fixed to the seal portion. The seal portion can have an undulating configuration of at least one peak and at least one valley, and the plate portion can circumferentially surround the seal portion. The seal portion can be made of a first material and the plate portion can be made of a second material more rigid than the first material. The seal portion can have a radially inward facing contact surface that defines a central opening of the sealing.
STRUCTURAL COMPONENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A structural component for a motor vehicle, with a component body (2) made from a sheet, which includes at least one shell-shaped body portion (3) formed from the sheet and at least one receiving bush (6) formed from the sheet that extends along its circumference between first and second circumferential ends (4, 5), which at the first circumferential end (4) merges into the shell-shaped body portion (3) and at the second circumferential end (5) merges into a strengthening strip (7) formed from the sheet and attached to the shell-shaped body portion (3). The strengthening strip (7) completes the shell-shaped body portion (3) to form an at least partially closed hollow section (8).
