DISHWASHER APPLIANCE WITH A DRYING SYSTEM
20200100644 · 2020-04-02 ·

A dishwasher appliance that includes a drying system is provided. In one exemplary aspect, the drying system includes an inlet duct having an inlet fan and a heating element disposed therein. The inlet fan is operable to draw ambient air into the inlet duct and move the air through the inlet duct into a tub of the dishwasher. The heating element heats the air passing through the inlet duct. The heated air facilitates drying of the articles within the wash chamber of the tub. The heated and pressurized air within the tub is forced into a vent duct positioned within a door of the dishwasher. An ambient fan draws ambient air into the vent duct to mix with the relatively hot and damp air forced out of the wash chamber by the inlet fan, e.g., to lower the dew point of the air exiting the dishwasher.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
20200029778 · 2020-01-30 ·

A method for controlling operation of a household appliance may include supplying a liquid to a first space, determining a first behavior(TB1) of temperature measured by a first temperature sensor during supplying of the liquid to the first space, supplying the liquid to a second space by activating a pump in order to transport the liquid from the first space to the second space, determining a second behavior (TB2) of temperature measured by a second temperature sensor during supplying of the liquid to the second space, and determining if a sufficient amount of the liquid has been supplied to the second space or not based on the second behavior (TB2) evaluated with respect to the first behavior (TB1). A household appliance may also be provided.

CLEAN STATUS INDICATOR
20200029781 · 2020-01-30 ·

A device having a clean status indicator system having a frame with a base, a plurality of feet, a washing compartment, a door, and at least one rack. The system includes a weight sensor secured to one of the feet; a tilt switch for indicating if the dishwasher is tilted; a temperature sensor; a housing, and a visual display. A controller having a control logic communicates with a power supply, the weight sensor, the tilt switch, the temperature sensor, and the visual display. The controller is configured to receive data from the weight sensor, the tilt switch, and the temperature sensor and analyze the data from the weight sensor, the tilt switch, and the temperature sensor. The tilt switch is mounted exterior to the dishwasher and configured to be activated or deactivated when the dishwasher is a tilted forward.

Heat pump arrangement for domestic appliance

Provided herein is a domestic appliance for washing goods that may include a washing compartment for receiving goods to be washed, and a heat pump arrangement, adapted to heat washing liquid to be used in the washing compartment. The heat pump arrangement may include an evaporator arranged to collect heat from ambient air, and a condenser arranged to dissipate heat to the washing liquid to thereby heat the washing liquid. The heat pump arrangement may further include a variable speed fan arranged to force the ambient air through the evaporator.

DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

A dishwasher including a tub forming a washing chamber; a drying device disposed outside of the tub and including an inlet through which air from the washing chamber is introduceable, a flow channel in which air from the washing chamber introduced through the inlet flows, a fan that is operable to cause air from the washing chamber to be introduced through the inlet to flow in the flow channel, a heater in the flow channel to heat air in the flow channel, an outlet through which air in the flow channel is discharged to the washing chamber, and a temperature sensor between the heater and the outlet; and at least one processor configured to operate the fan based on a start of a drying cycle and to determine an initial operation time point of the heater during the drying cycle based on temperature detected by the temperature sensor.

Dishwasher with controlled dry cycle

A dishwasher configured for drying dishes with the dishwasher having a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber and a closed loop condensation system for extracting liquid from air within a treating chamber of the dishwasher and a controller configured to control the dry cycle for drying of the dishes in the treating chamber of the dishwasher.

DISHWASHER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
20240041294 · 2024-02-08 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling a dishwasher. The method of controlling a dishwasher of the present disclosure includes steps of: detecting a temperature of air supplied to a tub through a heating duct by a temperature sensor; operating a supply fan which supplies outdoor air to the heating duct; operating a heater disposed in the heating duct; determining whether the supply fan and the heater are normally operating; and determining that the supply fan and the heater are normally operating, when a temperature change detected by the temperature sensor is within a first set range.

Dishwasher and method for controlling the same

Disclosed herein is a dishwasher including a main body provided with an open hole and a washing tub; a door configured to open or close the open hole; a door opening/closing member configured to open or close the open hole; an air curtain disposed in the main body, to operate a fan such that ambient air is sucked and the sucked air is discharged; a detector configured to detect information of the fan; and a controller configured to diagnose the failure of the fan based on the detected information of the fan, to control an operation of the door opening/closing member such that the door is opened at a predetermined open time and an open time of the door is delayed when the fan is a failure state, and to control an operation of the fan when the fan is a normal state during a drying operation.

DISHWASHER APPLIANCE WITH ADJUSTABLE DRY CYCLE
