A damping force control device for controlling damping forces of shock absorbers by a control device, which is configured to to estimate first vertical speeds at the positions of wheels based on the vertical accelerations of a vehicle body at the positions of the wheels, to estimate second vertical speeds of the vehicle body caused by driver's driving operation based on driving operation amount of the driver, to calculate target damping forces by subtracting products of damping coefficients of the ride comfort control and second vertical speeds from the sums of products of the damping coefficients of the ride comfort control and first vertical speeds and products of damping coefficients for controlling posture change of the vehicle body and the second vertical speeds, and to control damping coefficients of the shock absorbers based on the target damping forces.

ACTIVE CHASSIS CONTROL FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
20230166744 · 2023-06-01 · ·

An active chassis control for a motor vehicle with an adaptive control circuit for reducing body vibrations (A.sub.actual) of the motor vehicle, in which a control unit is integrated, which, depending on a current body vibration (A.sub.actual) or a parameter correlating therewith (a), controls a chassis actuator. The control unit is followed by an adaptive unit which adapts an actuating signal (S) generated by the control unit with a driving speed-dependent scaling factor (f(v)), in particular by generating an adapted actuating signal (S′) with which the chassis actuator can be controlled. Depending on the situation, a factor allowance (Δf) can be added to the driving speed-dependent scaling factor (f(v)) in the event of a significantly greater body vibration (A.sub.o) in order to effectively dampen the significantly greater body vibration (A.sub.o).

Mobile device intermediary for vehicle adaptation

A mobile device intermediary for vehicle adaptation is disclosed. A mobile device intermediary can access driver profile information and vehicle profile information from a remotely located device, determine vehicle adaptation information based on the driver profile information and vehicle profile information, and facilitate access to the vehicle adaptation information to facilitate adapting an aspect of a first vehicle. The mobile device intermediary can further receive other vehicle profile information related to a second vehicle associated with a driver profile and include the other vehicle profile information in determining the vehicle adaptation information. The vehicle adaptation information can be related to adapting a performance aspect of the first vehicle. The vehicle adaptation information can also be related to adapting an amenity aspect of the first vehicle. Vehicle adaption information can provide improved safety and driver comfort as a driver uses different vehicles, can be portable, and can be device independent.

The present invention relates to a forecarriage of a rolling motor vehicle with three or four wheels, comprising: a forecarriage frame (16); at least one pair of front wheels (10′, 10″) kinematically connected to each other and to the forecarriage frame by a kinematic roll mechanism (20) which enables the same to roll in a synchronous and specular manner; a roll control system (100) comprising a rod (110) having a first (111) and a second end (112) opposite each other which connect by means of hinging means (101′, 101″; 102′, 102″) a first (60) and a second anchoring portion (60) of forecarriage (8) directly to each other. At least one of said first and second anchoring portions is subject to roll movements of said two front wheels. The hinging means are configured to passively follow the movements of the two anchoring portions. The hinging means (101′, 101″) at the first end of the rod comprise at least a first roll hinge (101′) which has its hinge axis substantially orthogonal to a rolling plane of the two front wheels and is connected to the first anchoring portion. The roll control system comprises a first damper device suitable to dampen—in a predetermined angular range—the rotation movements of the rod with respect to the first roll hinge at the first end (111). The above angular range corresponds to the angular roll range of the rod.
