Active suspension control unit and method
An active suspension control unit may include an actuator having an active roll stabilization (ARS) structure to variably adjust response characteristics of a suspension, and a controller for determining a driving situation of a vehicle through information input from a sensor, and determining a final desired control value of the actuator based on a desired relative suspension vertical force value set in advance according to the driving situation and a difference value generated by a difference between left and right wheel's relative suspension vertical velocities.
Symmetrically dynamic equalized volume and pressure air management system
An air management system for a vehicle having a first pneumatic circuit and a second pneumatic circuit, in which the first and second pneumatic circuits are pneumatically connected in a neutral position via a cross-flow mechanism. The first pneumatic circuit is configured to independently adjust air pressure of a first side of the vehicle. The second pneumatic circuit is configured to independently adjust air pressure of a second side of the vehicle. The system is configured to establish pneumatic communication between the first and second pneumatic circuits when the air management system is not independently adjusting the adjust air pressure of the first side of the vehicle and the air pressure of the second side of the vehicle in the cross-flow mode.
Symmetrically dynamic equalized volume and pressure air management system
An air management system for a vehicle having a first pneumatic circuit and a second pneumatic circuit, in which the first and second pneumatic circuits are pneumatically connected in a neutral position via a cross-flow mechanism. The first pneumatic circuit includes a first leveling valve configured to adjust independently the height of a first side of the vehicle. The second pneumatic circuit includes a second leveling valve configured to adjust independently the height of a second side of the vehicle. The first and second leveling valves are configured to establish pneumatic communication between the first and second pneumatic circuits when the first leveling valve is not independently adjusting the height of the first side of the vehicle and the second leveling valve is not independently adjusting the height of the second side of the vehicle.
TILT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SIDECARS
A tilt control system for a sidecar and a motorcycle. The tilt control system can include a main frame, a tilting frame, and an actuator. The actuator can be coupled to the main frame and to the tilting frame, and can be configured to control tilting of the tilting frame relative to the main frame. The tilt control system can include a sensor, and a controller in communication with the actuator and the sensor. The controller can be configured to determine an operating parameter based on sensor data received from the sensor, compare the operating parameter to a threshold criteria, and cause the actuator to control the orientation of the tilting frame relative to main frame, based on the comparison of the operating parameter to the threshold criteria.
BOGIE BALANCING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A WORK MACHINE
A bogie positioning system and method for a work machine. The bogie positioning system adapted to selectively engage a wheel of a work machine to a ground surface through a bogie assembly wherein the bogie assembly may have a front wheel coupled to a rear wheel through a bogie coupling mechanism. The bogie coupling mechanism comprising a beam with a rotary joint. The rotary joint allowing the front wheel to rotate about a rotary axis relative to the rear wheel. The beam is coupled to a chassis of the work machine with at least one actuator coupled to the beam. A control unit is in communication with the bogie assembly, a user input interface, and a plurality of sensors, generating command signals to actuate the actuator based on the input signals, thereby selectively engaging the front wheel or the rear wheel with the ground surface.
“AFW-5” suspension for a means of transportation
The invention relates to structural components of vehicles, and more particularly to the suspension of both conventional and special vehicles, such as ambulances, baby carriages and wheelchairs. The suspension comprises a quadrangular frame with a pair of arms attached thereto, where the ends of said arms are configured to be connected to the hubs of the respective wheels, and the suspension of the present invention comprises two pairs of armsa pair of identical transverse arms and a pair of identical longitudinal arms with the ends of the longitudinal arms configured to be connected to the hubs of the respective wheels, wherein each arm is rotatably attached by its central zone to the central portion of the corresponding side of a quadrangular frame through rubber-metal joint, wherein the arms contact surfaces are cylindrical, they are adapted for mechanical coupling of arms to each other and are oriented as follows: longitudinal left and right arms have their contact surfaces oriented upwards, while transverse front and back arms have their contact surfaces oriented downwards, contact surfaces of each arm are tangent to the plane extending through the axis of rotation of the arm and are located on one side of it, while each side of the quadrangular frame rests upon the hubs of two wheels through the corresponding arm. Each transverse and longitudinal arm is made as a pair of arms spaced apart and connected by at least one connecting rod, and each such spaced arm has the form of a parallelogram. The invention is based on the objective to provide the suspension, which is more reliable due to lower level of mechanical stresses in the suspension mechanisms, which results from creation of the conditions where the function of the mechanism for changing the direction of rotation is performed by a transverse arm having a length equal to the width of the suspension.
Vehicle stabilizer, processing device for eye portion of stabilizer, and processing method for eye portion
An annular reference surface is formed around a through-hole of an eye portion. A distal-end-side curved portion is formed at a first corner portion, on an outer side of the annular reference surface. The thickness of the distal-end-side curved portion is reduced in a range of a length from the first flat surface toward the distal end surface. A hole-side curved portion whose thickness is reduced toward an inner surface of the through-hole is formed at a second corner portion, on an inner side of the annular reference surface. The length of the hole-side curved portion is less than the length of the distal-end-side curved portion. The hole-side curved portion is curved with a greater curvature than that of the distal-end-side curved portion.
Suspension device for vehicle
A suspension device for a vehicle of the present invention comprises a knuckle supporting a wheel, an upper arm vertically rotatably connected to a vehicle body and pivotally supporting an upper portion of the knuckle, a lower arm provided below the upper arm and vertically rotatably connected to the vehicle body, and a coupling rod coupling the upper arm and the lower arm, wherein the coupling rod is configured to slant in a vehicle longitudinal direction and be rotatably connected to the upper arm and the lower arm, respectively.
