Water-carrying household appliance
A water-carrying household appliance includes a receiving unit for receiving at least one signal from an external device coupled to the household appliance, a number of actuators for executing a plurality of programs, and a selector unit for selecting a program from the plurality of programs as a function of the at least one signal received. The actuators are controlled by a control unit so as to execute the selected program.
Water-conducting domestic appliance and method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance
A water-conducting domestic appliance includes a washing container, a door which is pivotably mounted to the washing container to define with the washing container a washing chamber for washing items, and a door opening module configured to automatically open the door. A detector detects a presence of a living being in a defined area in front of the domestic appliance. In the event the presence of a living being has been detected by the detector in the defined area, a control device prevents the door opening module from automatically opening the door.
Dish washer and method for controlling same
Provided are a dish washing machine capable of effectively removing garbage which remains at the bottom of a washing tub and a filter and a method of controlling the same. When washing water is sprayed from a nozzle while a vane is positioned at a reference position during a drainage operation, since a deflection angle of the vane is bent back and the washing water is strongly sprayed toward a rear wall of a washing tub, the washing water may form a fast and strong water current over a bottom plate of the washing tub, and the fast and strong water current may remove garbage which remains at a filter while flowing over the bottom of the washing tub. Also, even when an excessive amount of garbage is accumulated at a filter at a top end of a sump and blocks the filter during a washing operation such as preliminary washing, main washing, etc., the filter is automatically washed using a small amount of water, thereby eliminating inconvenience of a user to directly separate and wash the filter. Also, washing performance may be effectively improved by precisely determining whether degradation in washing performance caused by a poor circulation of washing water occurs due to a filter blockage or generation of bubbles.
SCENT-RELEASING DEVICE FOR DISHWASHER, DISHWASHER PROVIDED WITH SCENT-RELEASING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR SCENTING DISHWASHER
A scent-releasing device and related method, said device to be attached onto an inner side of the door of a dishwasher, including a storage chamber for accommodating a fragrance oil and a release chamber having a membrane through which a gas phase of the fragrance oil is able to pass. Wherein, in a first position of the scent-releasing device, the storage chamber and the release chamber are separated from one another, such that no fragrance oil reaches from the storage chamber into the release chamber. Wherein, in a second position of the scent-releasing device, the storage chamber and the scent-releasing device are connected such that fragrance oil reaches from the storage chamber into the release chamber. Wherein, when there is a change in position from the second position to the first position a defined amount of fragrance oil remains in the release chamber.
Flagged water event response cycle resume for a dishwasher appliance
A method of operating a dishwasher appliance including a drain pump includes detecting a flagged water response state within the dishwasher appliance during a washing operation, ceasing a current cycle segment of the washing operation in response to detecting the flagged water response state, initiating a drain sequence at the drain pump after the current cycle segment has been ceased, determining a next scheduled cycle segment of the washing operation following the current cycle segment in response to initiating the drain sequence, detecting a non-flagged water event following the flagged water response state, and initiating the next scheduled cycle segment of the washing operation in response to detecting the non-flagged water event.
CONDITION WARNING SYSTEM, CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POT AND PAN WASHING MACHINE
A condition warning system for an apparatus such as a pot and pan washing machine, a control system and control methods for a pot and pan washing machine are provided. The condition warning system includes a control system that monitors operational, safety or compliance parameters of an apparatus, and a light that illuminates a location below (or above) an operator's direct line of sight, and which is outside of the operator's direct line of sight. The control system and control methods include a punitive wash action lockout, an extended wash cycle time, and a deep clean wash cycle.
Household appliance and method
The present invention relates to a method of handling process water in a household appliance (1) and to a household appliance, for example a dish washer. The household appliance comprises a wash tub (3) for performing wash program cycles and a tank (5) for storing process water to be re-used in a following program cycle, the method comprising the steps of: determining (101) the type of detergent used in the household appliance with a sensor unit (7), measuring (102) the amount of detergent in the process water with the sensor unit, comparing (105) at least one sensor unit output value with a predetermined threshold value to define the quality of the process water, and storing (106) at least a part of the process water from a rinse cycle in the tank (5) when the sensor unit output value complies with the predetermined threshold value related to the quality of the process water.
Dishwasher and method for controlling the same
A dishwasher, in which a reservoir provided with an electrolyzer is connected to a water collector via a flow path change valve, and wash water in the reservoir is electrolyzed by the electrolyzer during non-operation of the wash water, to generate sterilizing water and to circulate the sterilizing water into the dishwasher, thereby achieving an enhancement in sterilizability of the dishwasher. A method for controlling a dishwasher makes it possible to suppress propagation of microorganisms left in the dishwasher and to remove organic substances, using a sterilizing agent or high-temperature water. It is also possible to reduce generation of offensive odor caused by decomposition of bacteria, through a reduction in the amount of bacteria in the dishwasher. Since sterilization of the dishwasher is automatically carried out, enhanced user convenience is provided.
SYSTEM FOR REMOTE MONITORING OR CONTROLLING OF WASHERS, LIKE COMMERCIAL DISHWASHERS
The invention relates to a system, wherein the system has a washer (1) that is preferably in the form of a commercial washer (1). The washer (1) may be in the form of a utensil washer or dishwasher. Further, the system has at least one sensor device for capturing at least one process-relevant parameter of the washer (1) and/or for monitoring at least one function-relevant component of the washer (1). The system additionally has a machine control unit having a device for wireless data transmission for transmitting received sensor data from the sensor device to an external device (2).
