SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHOD FOR PREVENTING OVERFILLING IN A DISHWASHER
A method, system, and computer-program product for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a method for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher is provided, wherein the dishwasher includes a water valve for providing water to the dishwasher and a drain pump for removing water from the dishwasher. The method comprises detecting an overfill condition in the dishwasher with at least one detection device, wherein the overfill condition corresponds to a water level in the dishwasher that is greater than a predetermined threshold. The method further includes controlling the drain pump and the water valve in response to detecting the overfill condition in order to facilitate removal of the overfill condition.
USER INTERFACE FOR A DISHWASHER
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for guiding a user through an interaction with a dishwasher user interface are provided. For example, in one embodiment a method for operating a dishwasher, wherein the dishwasher comprises a tub for receiving dishware, a door configured to enclose the tub, and a user interface comprising one or more control elements, is provided. The method comprises receiving, by the user interface, user selection of at least one of the control elements. In response to receiving the user selection of at least one of the one or more control elements, a controller initiates one or more close door indicators and a countdown timer. The method further comprises determining if the door is closed before a time period of the countdown timer expired. In response to determining that the door was closed before the time period of the countdown timer expired, a wash cycle is started or resumed.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher including a washing chamber to wash dishes, a sump concavely formed at a lower portion of the washing chamber to collect water used in washing, a microfilter disposed at the sump to filter out dirt produced when the dishes are washed, and an ultrasonic generator to radiate ultrasonic waves toward the microfilter. Since the microfilter is automatically cleaned by the ultrasonic generator, a user may not need to manually clean the microfilter.
Method for pumping a fluid out of an aquiferous household device
In a method for pumping a fluid out of an aquiferous household device such as a dishwashing machine, a drain pump and a circulation pump are operated at least partially simultaneously to ensure that, in the event of an abrupt stop of the circulation pump, reverse flow that may cause filter cake formed by separating soiling and particles to loosen resulting in their re-soiling of the items to be cleaned. The speed of the circulation pump is lowered from a maximum speed to at least a minimum speed substantially without pressure surges before startup of the drain pump.
WATER-CARRYING HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A water-carrying household appliance includes a receiving unit for receiving at least one signal from an external device coupled to the household appliance, a number of actuators for executing a plurality of programs, and a selector unit for selecting a program from the plurality of programs as a function of the at least one signal received. The actuators are controlled by a control unit so as to execute the selected program.
DISHWASHER SYSTEM WITH A REUSE TANK
A method of operating a dishwasher having a wash tub and a reuse tank for storing liquid for subsequent reuse, wherein the condition of the water in the reuse tank may be monitored and/or acted upon to limit the likelihood of undesired effects associated with the growth of micro-organisms in the liquid.
ADAPTER AND SPRAY ASSEMBLY FOR A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
Adapters and spray arm assemblies for dishwasher appliances are provided. An adapter defines an axial direction, a radial direction, and a circumferential direction. The adapter includes a base unit. The base unit includes an inlet housing defining an inlet annulus. The base unit further includes a first conduit extending from the inlet housing and comprising a passage defined between an inlet and an outlet. The base unit further includes a second conduit extending from the inlet housing and comprising a passage defined between an inlet and an outlet. The entire passage of the first conduit and the entire passage of the second conduit each extend at an angle to the axial direction of less than or equal to 60 degrees.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND A CONTROLLING METHOD FOR SUCH A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A household appliance includes a circulation pump for circulating dishwashing liquid in a washing compartment of the household appliance. A drain pump empties the dishwashing liquid from the washing compartment. For the purposes of ventilating the drain pump, a control device is provided to activate the drain pump after the washing compartment has been filled with the dishwashing liquid and before or during operation of the circulation pump.
Dishwasher with image-based diagnostics
A dishwasher includes in part a controllably-movable sprayer and a controller coupled to the controllably-movable sprayer and configured to control the controllably-movable sprayer to spray fluid onto one or more utensils disposed in a wash tub during a wash cycle. The controller is also configured to control the controllably-movable sprayer to spray fluid onto one or more walls of the wash tub by controllably-redirecting the controllably-movable sprayer to reorient one or more apertures of the sprayer away from the one or more utensils and towards the one or more walls.
Dishwasher appliance with camera for determination of spray assembly operation
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing, a fluid delivery device configured for delivering wash fluid into the wash chamber, and a camera assembly mounted with a view of the wash chamber including a location where the fluid delivery device is configured for delivering the wash fluid. A controller is configured to obtain consecutive images of the wash fluid in the wash chamber, determine whether the fluid delivery device is providing acceptable delivery of the wash fluid into the wash chamber, wherein the determining includes using the consecutive images of the wash fluid to determine whether there are differences in the wash fluid present in the wash chamber, and initiate corrective action if the fluid delivery device is not providing an acceptable delivery of the wash fluid into the wash chamber.
