Suspension system including releasable connection
A vehicle includes a frame, a suspension arm, and a fastener. The fastener includes a flange and a shaft extending from the flange. The shaft engages the frame and the extension arm. A washer is on the shaft. The washer has a first surface facing the frame and a second surface facing the flange. The washer has a thickness from the first surface to the second surface, and the thickness tapers.
Hydraulic damper with a piston rod protective tube
The present invention relates to a hydraulic damper for a motor vehicle, comprising a tube with a slidably piston assembly attached to an end of a piston rod that is led outside the tube through a rod guide. A protective cap surrounds a portion of the tube. A partially axially elastic protective tube is attached to the cap and surrounds it and the piston rod. The cap is a unitary plastic component and has an annular flange provided with locking means attaching it to the protective tube. The cap has a plurality of spaced axial ribs separated by axial slots and joining a cylindrical section of the cap with the flange. A plurality of auxiliary ribs join the axial ribs and the annular area of the axial slots is larger than the total annular area of the axial ribs and the auxiliary ribs combined.
Dust boot, method of manufacturing dust boot, and shock absorber
A dust boot includes a tubular boot body and an annular flange portion linked to an upper end of the boot body. In an outer side of the flange portion, an angle between the flange portion and a line perpendicular to an axis of the boot body is set to be larger than 0 and smaller than 90.
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE BODY
A device for adjusting the height of a motor vehicle body (3), including an actuator (1) for actuating a vertically adjustable spring seat of a suspension spring (15), characterized in that a pin (4) is provided for connecting the device to the vehicle body (3), an actuator side pin section (10) extends through a support eye (6) in a support plate (7) of the actuator (1), and an elastomer support (2) is disposed at least on the face of the support plate (7) facing the vehicle body, between the support plate (7) and a flange (9) provided on the bolt (4).
SUSPENSION DEVICE FOR NON-STEERED DRIVING WHEEL INCORPORATING IN-WHEEL MOTOR
A suspension device for a non-steered driving wheel including a wheel carrier having an in-wheel motor incorporated therein for driving the driving wheel, and a suspension arm pivotally supported on a vehicle body and connected to the wheel carrier by a connecting structure. The connecting structure includes a plate member fixed to the wheel carrier by fastening and a pair of elastic bushing devices attached to the plate member. The suspension arm has an open cross sectional portions for receiving portions of the plate member and the elastic bushing devices, and the elastic bushing devices are fixed to the open cross sectional portions at both ends.
ISOLATED LIFT ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE AUXILIARY SUSPENSION ARRANGEMENT
A vehicle suspension assembly includes a mounting bracket adapted to couple to a vehicle frame assembly, a trailing arm having a first end pivotably coupled to the first mounting bracket, and a second end, an axle member coupled to the second end of the trailing arm, the axle member configured to support a tire, an actuator operably coupled to the trailing arm and operable between a first state configured to lift the tire away from a ground surface and a second state configured for the tire to contact the ground surface, and an actuator arrangement configured to move from a first position where the actuator arrangement couples the actuator to the trailing arm when the actuator is in the first state, and a second position where the actuator arrangement uncouples the actuator from the trailing arm when the actuator is in the second state.
DAMPING ARRANGEMENT FOR AN AXLE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
Damping arrangement of an active chassis for an axle of a vehicle. A damping system cooperates with each wheel. Each of the damping systems has a damper having a double-acting hydraulic cylinder and a piston, a reversible hydraulic pump and an electric motor, and a hydraulic unit having a hydraulic reservoir and valves. The hydraulic pump and the hydraulic unit of the respective damping system cooperate with the hydraulic cylinder thereof such that, dependent upon the conveying direction of the hydraulic pump, a movement of the piston in a first actuation direction or in a second actuation direction can be provided. The electric motors of both damping systems are connected to and drivable by a common control device. A position sensor is associated with each electric motor to acquire the rotor position of the respective electric motor. A pressure sensor is associated with each hydraulic pump to acquire a pressure.
Shock absorber
A mounting eye (21) is fastened to a rod by pushing, partially or over an entire periphery, an outer periphery of a joint portion of a mounting eye into an annular groove of the rod. Accordingly, an axial length of a fastening portion can be set shorter than that of a related-art structure (screw fastening), thereby being capable of securing a stroke of the rod of a shock absorber in which the mounting eye is fastened to the rod.
Dust cover, suspension device, and method for manufacturing dust cover
A dust cover is configured to cover an outer side of a damper extending in a predetermined direction. The dust cover includes bellows portions and a flange portion. The bellows portions are inclined alternately toward a radially outer side and a radially inner side in an axial direction. The flange portion extends radially outward from a cylindrical portion of the dust cover. The flange portion protrudes radially outward from the cylindrical portion of the dust cover by a dimension larger than a height dimension in a radial direction between a radially inner end and a radially outer end of each of the bellows portions. A thickness of the flange portion is larger than a thickness of the radially outer end of each of the bellows portions.
