A system configured to raise and lower a chassis of a vehicle. The system includes a damper with a first end connected to the chassis and a second end that is opposite to the first end. An actuation assembly includes a rotatable arm and a motor configured to rotate the rotatable arm, the rotatable arm is connected to both the second end of the damper and a control arm of the vehicle. Rotation of the rotatable arm by the motor moves the damper between a raised position to raise the chassis and a lowered position to lower the chassis.

Suspension system

A suspension system includes: suspensions that respectively include vehicle height control actuators; a pressure medium supply-discharge device; and a vehicle height controller configured to control the pressure medium supply-discharge device to control vehicle height, wherein a magnitude of resistance that is generated during a change in the vehicle height at one or more of the suspensions is larger than a magnitude of resistance at another one or more of the suspensions, and the vehicle height controller is configured to execute vehicle height control for the wheel that corresponds to the one or more of the suspensions with the large magnitude of the resistance prior to vehicle height control for the wheel that corresponds to the other one or more of the suspensions with the small magnitude of the resistance.

Stabilizer

A stabilizer includes a stabilizer bar, left and right cylinders, a parallel pipe, a cross pipe, a parallel on-off valve, and a valve controller. The parallel on-off valve maintains communication between a left side first fluid room of the left cylinder and a right side first fluid room of the right cylinder and maintains communication between a left side second fluid room of the left cylinder and a right side second fluid room of the right cylinder by opening itself. The parallel on-off valve cuts off the communication by closing itself. The valve controller switches an opening/closing state of the parallel on-off valve based on a running state of a vehicle or an operation state of the vehicle by a driver.

VEHICLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM

A vehicle height adjustment system includes: a vehicle height adjustment actuator provided for each wheel of a vehicle; a pressure medium intake and exhaust device configured to supply and exhaust a pressure medium to and from the vehicle height adjustment actuator; and a vehicle height adjustment unit including a computer, the vehicle height adjustment unit configured to: adjust a vehicle height by controlling the pressure medium intake and exhaust device, the vehicle height being a distance between the wheel and a vehicle body; adjust the vehicle height when a get-in estimation condition is satisfied; and limit a number of times the vehicle height is adjusted within a set period to a number of times smaller than a set number of times.

Suspension system with multiple working modes

The active suspension system includes right and left dampers, a pump, and a control valve system. Each of the right and left dampers includes a damper housing, a piston rod, and a piston that is mounted on the piston rod. The piston is arranged in sliding engagement inside the damper housing such that the piston divides the damper housing into first and second working chambers. The pump includes a pump intake and a pump outlet. The control valve system is connected in fluid communication with the first and second working chambers of the right damper, the first and second working chambers of the left damper, the pump intake, and the pump outlet. The control valve system has several different arrangements of fluid flow paths that provide different working modes for the active suspension system.

Active suspension component degradation determination

This disclosure describes techniques for determining a state of a pressurized chamber of a suspension of a vehicle, wherein the pressurized chamber comprises a hydraulic fluid chamber and a gas chamber separated by a piston. The state is determined by varying a pressure in the hydraulic fluid chamber and determining a knee point in a change of pressure in the hydraulic fluid chamber. The knee point indicates that the separator has been bottomed out. The pressure in the knee point may be used to determine a state of the suspension system.

Fluid System For A Vehicle
20250214386 · 2025-07-03 · ·

A fluid system for a vehicle, preferably for a vehicle chassis, includes: a pump for delivering a fluid, wherein the pump has a first fluid connection and a second fluid connection, an actuator which can be connected to the first fluid connection in a fluid-communicating manner via an actuator valve, wherein the pump is designed to deliver the fluid to be delivered in a first delivery direction and in a second delivery direction opposite the first delivery direction, so that the actuator is fluidically pressurized by the pump via the first fluid connection when the pump delivers in the first delivery direction, and the actuator is fluidically separated from the first fluid connection depending on the position of the actuator valve or the actuator is fluidically relieved by the pump via the first fluid connection when the pump delivers in the second delivery direction.
