Three-row wheel vehicle
A three-row wheel vehicle having front, center and rear wheels has laterally spaced front pivot links each pivotably connected at a middle to a vehicle body, laterally spaced swing arms each swingably connected to a front end of the front pivot link and rotatably supports the front wheel at a lower end, laterally spaced rear pivot links each pivotably connected to the vehicle body at a middle and rotatably supports the rear wheel at a rear end, laterally spaced force transmission mechanisms each configured to convert a rearward force transmitted from the front wheel to the swing arm into an upward force and transmit the upward force to the front pivot link on a front side of the middle, and laterally spaced connecting links each pivotably attached to a rear end of the front pivot link and a front end of the rear pivot link.
STABILIZER ASSEMBLY AND AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE WITH THE STABILIZER ASSEMBLY
Provided is a stabilizer assembly that allows a coupling member to make smooth slide movement. To this end, a stabilizer assembly for a vehicle comprises; a first stabilizer, a second stabilizer, and a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism includes a clutch case; a first engagement portion; a second engagement portion; an engagement slider; an actuator; a first protrusion; a second protrusion; and a collar fitted on outer peripheral surfaces of the first and second protrusions across a mating point thereof while the first and the second protrusions are set their front ends butted against each other, the collar having an outer diameter size not exceeding a size of the groove-bottom diameter of the engagement grooves.
Off road vehicle
An off-road vehicle includes a frame, a front suspension, and a rear suspension. In some examples of the off-road vehicle, the rear suspension includes trailing arms with are pivotally attached to the frame rearward of an operator area. Further, the frame can include a front subframe assembly and a rear subframe assembly which are easily removable from the main frame of the vehicle to permit access to various components of the off-road vehicle.
MILITARY VEHICLE
A military vehicle includes a passenger capsule, a front module coupled to a front end of the passenger capsule, and a rear module coupled to a rear end of the passenger capsule. The passenger capsule has a frame rail-less monocoque hull structure. The front module includes a first longitudinal frame member coupled to the front end of the passenger capsule proximate a first side thereof, a second longitudinal frame member coupled to the front end of the passenger capsule proximate an opposing second side thereof, and an underbody support structure coupled to the front end of the passenger capsule, the first longitudinal frame member, and the second longitudinal frame member. The underbody support structure is positioned beneath the first longitudinal frame member and the second longitudinal frame member.
Universal Axle-Hub Assembly
A universal axle-hub assembly is provided for an off-road vehicle. The universal axle-hub assembly comprises a wheel hub that receives a constant velocity (CV) axle snout into an opening extending through an axle support of the wheel hub. An outboard-most portion of the opening is a splined portion that engages with similar splines disposed on an outboard-most portion of the CV axle snout. An inboard-most portion of the opening is a smooth portion that receives a smooth portion of the CV axle snout. The axle support extends through an entirety of the width of a bearing that supports the wheel hub, such that the bearing supports the smooth portion of the CV axle snout and substantially eliminates shear forces acting on the splined portion of the CV axle snout. A bearing carrier supports the bearing and may be fastened onto a trailing arm or a spindle of the off-road vehicle.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE
The present disclosure discloses an all-terrain vehicle which includes: a frame, a left-front suspension assembly connected with a left side of the frame and including a left-upper rocker arm and a left-lower rocker arm, the left-upper rocker arm is located above the left-lower rocker arm; a right-front suspension assembly connected with a right side of the frame and including a right-upper rocker arm and a right-lower rocker arm, the right-upper rocker arm is located above the right-lower rocker arm; a lateral stabilizer bar mounted on the frame and arranged above the left-upper rocker arm and the right-upper rocker arm, and a steering gear mounted on the frame and located below the lateral stabilizer bar.
A CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system, a suspension system, a vehicle and a method. A control system comprising one or more controllers is configured to: receive at least one vehicle dynamics signal, wherein the at least one vehicle dynamics signal is indicative of a vehicle dynamics parameter, determine a current dynamic usage of a vehicle in dependence on the received at least one vehicle dynamics signal, determine a control parameter for an actuator of the vehicle in dependence at least in part on the current dynamic usage of the vehicle, and output a control signal to control the actuator in dependence on the control parameter.
SHOCK ABSORBER FOR A VEHICLE
A shock absorber for a vehicle includes an inner tube at least partially defining an inner fluid compartment and an outer tube enclosing at least in part the inner tube therein. Together, the inner tube and the outer tube at least partially define an outer fluid compartment therebetween. The inner tube defines a bypass zone having a plurality of bypass apertures that fluidly communicate the inner fluid compartment with the outer fluid compartment. A piston is movably mounted within the inner tube and moves in compression and in rebound. The piston defines a piston passage extending through the piston for permitting fluid flow between a first side and second side of the piston. An electronically controlled valve is connected to the piston and controls fluid flow through the piston passage. A method for controlling the shock absorber is also disclosed.
Rear swing arm suspension
A swing arm type suspension for a rear wheel of an off road vehicle can use two or three tie rods to control toe-in of the knuckle. The rear end of the swing arm is split between an upper clamping arm and a lower clamping arm defining an eye, with the knuckle connected to the upper and lower clamping arms by joint bearings, and with either the transmission shaft or one of the tie rods extending through the eye of the swing arm to the knuckle. The front of the swing arm can be connected to the vehicle frame using a cross-shaft joint. Camber, toe-in and half-track width are controlled to result in a smaller turning radius with better ride characteristics.
