Dive-resistant suspension for a snow machine
A dive-resistant suspension for a snow machine having a ski assembly and a body has a swing arm and a resilient member that biases the swing arm downward relative to the body. The swing arm has a first rigid linkage and a second rigid linkage. The first rigid linkage has a first pivot point connected to the body of the snow machine and a second pivot point connected to the ski column. The second rigid linkage has a first pivot point connected to the body of the snow machine and a second pivot point connected to the ski column. The swing arm defines a travel path of the ski assembly as the swing arm moves between an operative position and a retracted position. In a first portion of the travel path, the ski assembly moves from the operative position forward and up relative to the body of the snow machine.
Control device, and suspension system
A control device is configured to control a damping force of a damping device using a difference between a front-rear acceleration of a vehicle main body and a rotational acceleration of a vehicle wheel, the damping device being configured to dampen a force generated between the vehicle main body and the vehicle wheel.
VEHICLE SUSPENSION
In a vehicle suspension, a preload is adjusted by selective engagement of cam surfaces of different heights with a cam receiving part by rotation of an adjuster part, the adjuster part includes a vertical wall part erected in an axial direction of a spring from a spring receiving part and an engaging part with which a tool to rotate the adjuster part is to be engaged, and the engaging part includes a first engaging part formed by a gap between the plurality of vertical wall parts disposed separately from each other in a circumferential direction of the adjuster part and a second engaging part formed by a hole penetrating the vertical wall part.
Multi-mode air shock
A multi-mode air shock is disclosed herein. The air shock includes an air spring having a primary air chamber, and a damper having an insertion end to telescope within the primary air chamber and a coupler to couple with a portion of a vehicle. An adjuster housing is fixedly coupled to an end of the air spring opposite of the damper, the adjuster housing having a secondary air chamber in communication with the primary air chamber and a mounting structure to couple with a different portion of the vehicle. There is a bulkhead with a valve to open or close the fluid communication between the primary air chamber and the secondary air chamber. The air shock also includes a tertiary air chamber in fluid communication with the secondary air chamber but not in fluid communication with the primary air chamber except via the secondary air chamber.
Vehicle
A resisting force change mechanism includes a first portion and a second portion configured to change a resisting force against relative displacement. The first portion is supported on any one of a first side member, a second side member, a first cross member, and a second cross member of a link mechanism where at least a portion thereof is superposed on one member at all times. The first portion is aligned with the one member and a steering shaft at the front. The second portion is supported on any other one of the body frame, the first side member, the second side member, the first cross member, and the second cross member that is displaced relative to the one member on which the first portion is supported. The second portion is located at a position where at least a portion thereof is superposed on the other member at all times.
SPRING UNIT
The present invention relates to a spring unit (1) for a shock absorber (100) intended for a vehicle. The shock absorber (100) comprises a damping cylinder (101), wherein the damping cylinder (101) is adapted to be telescopically arranged within the spring unit (1). The spring unit (1) comprises a hollow body (2) comprising at least one compression chamber (2b) and at least one additional chamber (3) arranged to be in fluid communication with the compression chamber such that at least a first flow of fluid (F1) is adapted to be allowed between the compression chamber (2b) and the additional chamber (3) when a threshold value is met. The invention further relates to a shock absorber (100) comprising such a spring unit (1), and a front fork comprising such a shock absorber (100) as well as a method for filling the shock absorber (100).
Adjustable blow-off suspension
Altering the damping rate of a vehicle suspension damper. A pressure of a damping fluid is exerted against a second valve mechanism connected to the vehicle suspension damper. The pressure of the damping fluid is increased beyond a threshold of the second valve mechanism that is adjustable by an adjustment member. The adjustment member is exposed through a high pressure side of the vehicle suspension damper. The second valve mechanism is then opened.
Pneumatically actuated adjusting device for acting on a spring device of a spring damper comprising a tubular body
A pneumatically operable adjusting device (1) is provided for acting on a spring device (5) of a spring damper device (3) having a tubular body (2), with a tubular piece-shaped housing (4) which is designed to surround the tubular body (2) and has a passage (6) passing through a peripheral wall of the housing (4), and the adjusting device (1) has an adjusting nut (9) with an internal thread (10) which is attached to an external thread (11) of a tubular body (2), 37) of the spring damper device (3) can be brought into screw engagement, the housing (4) being designed for releasable abutment against the adjusting nut (9) and having an inner recess (7) for forming a pressure chamber (8) which is in fluid connection with the passage (6) and the inner recess (7) forming a pressure wall (24), the fluid admission of which causes a force acting on the housing (4) in the axial longitudinal direction and the housing (4) has an abutment surface (54) designed for spring force admission by the spring device.
COMPRESSION SENSITIVE SUSPENSION DAMPENING
A spring for a suspension is described. The spring includes: a spring chamber divided into at least a primary portion and a secondary portion, and a fluid flow path coupled with and between the primary portion and the secondary portion. The fluid flow path includes a bypass mechanism, wherein the bypass mechanism is configured for automatically providing resistance within the fluid flow path in response to a compressed condition of the suspension.
