SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A suspension system having a knuckle carrier. A pivot mechanism may pivotally couple a control arm to the knuckle carrier. The pivot mechanism may include a preload nut that may exert a preload force on a bearing assembly. A platform may be fixedly disposed on the knuckle carrier. The platform may support an air spring and may have an arm that is coupled to a stabilizer bar subassembly.
FRAME WITH A BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
The invention relates to an assembly (1) of a frame member (2) for an electric vehicle comprising a transverse member (14) with at each end a housing (10,10) connected to the transverse member (14) and two in-wheel motors (3,3) connected to a respective housing. Each motor comprises a brake drum (35) connected to a rotor (24), extending coaxially within the housing (10,10) near an inner surface a circumferential wall (8) of the housing. A brake shoe assembly (51,52,55,56) is movable in a radial direction R against the brake drum (35), and an actuator (18,18) is placed on an outer surface (17,17) of the circumferential wall (8,8) of the housing (10,10), connected to the brake shoe assembly (51,52,55,56). The assembly provides a low-floor portal frame member, with two in-wheel motors and a brake system that has relatively small axial dimensions and provides a reduced space envelope at the vehicle side.
VEHICLE, VEHICLE CHASSIS AND DRIVETRAIN MODULE
A low-profile vehicle chassis comprising at least one chassis section comprising an upper side, a lower side spaced from the upper side and a cavity defined between the upper and lower sides of the chassis. At least one drivetrain and/or power component of the vehicle is contained within the cavity. Also, a vehicle comprising such a chassis. Also provided is a drivetrain module for an electric vehicle, the drivetrain module comprising a housing, at least one electric motor within the housing, a gearbox within the housing and having an input connected to the at least one electric motor to receive drive from the at least one electric motor, and at least one drive shaft connected to an output of the gearbox to transmit mechanical drive from the gearbox.
Suspension system
A suspension system having a knuckle that rotatably supports a wheel end assembly. The knuckle may include a first platform that may have a toe link mount, a second platform that may have a stabilizer bar mount, a brake torque plate that may facilitate mounting of a brake subsystem, or combinations thereof.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE
An electric vehicle comprises: a main battery which is disposed under the floor of a vehicle interior; a front seat which is provided for a front part of the vehicle interior; a front housing chamber which is formed under a seating surface of the front seat; and an air-suspension device including an air spring which is made to expand and contract by air pressure, an air compressor which compresses air, and one or more first surge tanks which store high-pressure air or low-pressure air, in which the first surge tanks and the air compressor are disposed in a front housing chamber.
REAR SUSPENSION APPARATUS OF VEHICLE
A rear suspension apparatus of a vehicle includes: a transverse helper leaf spring connected to a rear axle and disposed in a transverse direction; and a first stopper mechanism and a second stopper mechanism contacting the transverse helper leaf spring when the vehicle moves. The rear suspension apparatus is capable of improving riding quality by using a new spring constant value generated by the transverse helper leaf spring when freight is loaded and a vehicle body frame moves downwardly, and restricting rolling movement of the vehicle when rolling is caused, thereby increasing roll stiffness and improving driving stability.
Mechanically actuated leveling valve mechanism
A mechanically actuated level control valve device for a commercial vehicle with an air suspension system is a level control valve and comprises a drive element that can be mechanically coupled to a vehicle wheel or axle. A valve element and a counter valve element have a first relative position, wherein the port for the air suspension bellow is closed, a second relative position, wherein the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to the port for the aeration device, and a third relative position, wherein the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to the port for the deaeration device. The valve element is coupled to a rotatable driveshaft of the level control valve by a drive mechanism. An integrated actuator changes the relative position of the valve element and the drive element or the relative position of the counter valve element and a valve housing.
REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY DESIGNED TO FIT WITHIN REAR AXLE ENVELOPE
A rear axle assembly designed to fit within a predefined rear axle envelope of a transportation vehicle. The rear axle assembly comprising first and second double wheel hubs each supporting a pair of tires, a rear axial offset with respect to a central axis of the rear axle assembly, a rear axle input for receiving a drive input, first and second portal housings which facilitate respectively connecting the rear axial the first and the second double wheel hubs, a four-point control arm for connecting the rear axle to a chassis, first and second spring carriers each carrying a smaller and larger diameter air bellows, first and second longitudinal arms which interconnected the rear axle to the chassis, and first and second shock absorbers each located generally at or adjacent to the central axis and radially between the first double wheel hub and the first spring carrier.
SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY WITH A DAMPER FOR AN ELECTRIC BUS
A bus assembling process and an articulated low platform bus with a suspension assembly in a wheel housing. The suspension assembly includes a wheel support such as a steering knuckle, an upper link part of a parallelogram suspension and pivotably joined to the wheel support, a damping device adapted for absorbing energy and disposed in the parallelogram, a lower link including a portion of reduced thickness and two transversal branches, one of the two transversal branches being vertically thicker than the portion of reduced thickness and transversally joining the portion of reduced thickness to the damping device.
