Household dishwasher machine and method for operating a household dishwasher machine
A household dishwasher includes a washing chamber, a controller apparatus configured to perform a wash program from a number of wash programs for washing items to be washed arranged in the washing chamber, an optical sensor configured to capture an optical sensor signal of the washing chamber during performance of the wash program, and an evaluating unit configured to ascertain a subsequent loading of items to be washed by a user as a function of the captured optical sensor signal of the washing chamber, to determine a point in time of the subsequent loading in the wash program, and to perform a predetermined action as a function of the ascertained subsequent loading and the determined point in time.
Batch-type warewasher with energy retaining curtain
A batch-type warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares to be cleaned, the chamber having a chamber access opening and a single spray zone, with at least one spray system for spraying liquid onto wares in the single spray zone. A door is movable between a closed position covering the chamber access opening and an open position away from the chamber access opening to allow wares to be moved in and out of the chamber. A curtain structure is mounted on the machine, the curtain structure located behind the door when the door is in the closed position. The curtain structure remains in position and at least partially covers the chamber access opening when the door is in the open position so as to retain hot moist air within the chamber when the door is moved to the open position upon completion of a ware cleaning cycle.
METHODS OF MONITORING THE LOAD STATE OF A DISHWASHING APPLIANCE
A method may include detecting one or more insertion actions for a loading one or more articles into the dishwashing appliance and directing, subsequent to the detected insertion actions, a dishwasher cycle within the dishwashing appliance. The method may also include detecting, subsequent to the dishwasher cycle, one or more removal actions for unloading the one or more articles from the dishwashing appliance. The method may further include evaluating the detected removal actions against the detected insertion actions and directing a user interface of the dishwashing appliance based on the evaluation.
Low Cost Sensor System
The invention relates to a low cost sensor array suitable for use in a ware washing machine, preferably a dish washing machine. The invention also relates to a standalone detergent dispensing device comprising the low cost sensor array. The sensor systems are intended to allow monitoring of wash cycles such that controlled sequential dosing of reagents in wash cycles can be optimized. A device comprising such a sensor system may then be able to sense the conditions of the wash and dose reagents in their optimal sequence in the wash.
WAREWASHER AND ASSOCIATED SPRAY ARM ASSEMBLY
A warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one spray zone in which a liquid is recirculated from a tank to a spray tube assembly having a plurality of spray nozzles. The spray tube assembly includes a plurality of spray tubes, each including an input end and a distal end connected to a tube support, which has a fixed part and a cover movable between a closed and open positions. Each distal end has an opening that is covered in the closed position and uncovered, perhaps fully, in the open position. The tube support may include at least one latching assembly for holding the cover in the closed position. The cover and the access door may be cooperatively configured such that, when the cover is in the open position, the cover prevents the access door from moving to the closed operating position.
Dishwasher and method of controlling the same
A dishwasher includes a circulation pump that supplies water to nozzles; a drainage pump that discharges the water; a driving current supply unit that supplies a driving current to one of the circulation pump and the drainage pump; a controller that transmits driving control signals to the driving current supply unit; and a door opening detection unit that, if opening of a door is detected, transmits door opening detection signals to the controller and the driving current supply unit, wherein, if the door opening detection signals are received while the circulation pump operates, the driving current supply unit stops supply of the driving current to the circulation pump and supplies the driving current to the drainage pump.

The invention also relates to a standalone detergent dispensing device comprising the low cost sensor array. Apparatus and Method for Dishwasher Status Indication
An apparatus and method is describe herein for a device which when attached to a front-loading dishwashing appliance with a vented drop-down door gives an indication to the user as to whether the dishes, glasses and utensils placed within are soiled or cleaned. The device includes a heat sensing means attached to a extending member, an inclination sensing means which is responsive to the deviation of the dishwashing appliance door and therefore the device from the vertical position and a system of timers.
Dishwasher with Tine Sprayer Rings
A dishwasher utilizing one or more sprayer rings disposed proximate to one or more tines of a dishwasher rack, where the sprayer ring(s) are in fluid communication with a fluid supply that is configured to supply a fluid to the one or more sprayer rings to spray fluid onto utensils disposed within the wash tub.
Automatic Door for Dishwasher with Multi-Position Sensing
A dishwasher (10) provides a motorized latch element extending to open the dishwasher door (18) for venting according to sense positions. A robust rack and pinion mechanism driven by a DC motor (50) provides flexible positioning of the door for different applications while ensuring sufficient force to compress the dishwasher gasket for sealing.
