SUSPENSION CONTROL DEVICE
A controller executes full extension suppression control or full compression suppression control of adjusting a damping force to be large when a piston being displaced through sliding in an inner tube approaches a full extension position or a full compression position. Moreover, a stroke from a neutral position of the piston in the inner tube to a full compression control start position is set so as to be longer than a stroke from the neutral position of the piston to a full extension control start position. A portion between the full extension control start position to the full compression control start position is set to a dead zone in which none of the full extension suppression control and the full compression suppression control are executed.
STABILIZER CONTROL APPARATUS
The ECU of the stabilizer control apparatus determines, based on a high frequency component of a wheel acceleration and a low frequency component of a wheel speed difference, whether a road surface state is a rough road state or a smooth road state. When the road surface state is determined to be the rough road state, the ECU sets a turning determination threshold to a rough road threshold. When the road surface state is determined to be the smooth road state, the ECU sets the threshold to a smooth road threshold. When a turning determination parameter is greater than the threshold, the ECU sets each of first, second, and third cylinders to a lock state to increase rigidity of stabilizers. When the turning determination parameter is smaller than the turning determination threshold, the ECU sets each of the cylinders to a free state to decrease the rigidity of the stabilizers.
Active chassis control for a motor vehicle
An active chassis control for a motor vehicle with an adaptive control circuit for reducing body vibrations (A.sub.actual) of the motor vehicle, in which a control unit is integrated, which, depending on a current body vibration (A.sub.actual) or a parameter correlating therewith (a), controls a chassis actuator. The control unit is followed by an adaptive unit which adapts an actuating signal (S) generated by the control unit with a driving speed-dependent scaling factor (f(v)), in particular by generating an adapted actuating signal (S′) with which the chassis actuator can be controlled. Depending on the situation, a factor allowance (Δf) can be added to the driving speed-dependent scaling factor (f(v)) in the event of a significantly greater body vibration (A.sub.o) in order to effectively dampen the significantly greater body vibration (A.sub.o).
System and method for controlling the stability of a vehicle provided with a semi-active suspension
A system for controlling the stability of a vehicle equipped with semi-active dampers includes: an actuator, a plurality of sensors, a low-level control unit, a high-level control unit and a mid-level control unit adapted to execute an algorithm for calculating a damping level (C.sub.ref).
Road surface information producing apparatus and vehicle control system
The cloud includes a server and a storage device. The storage device includes a road surface information map. When a first sampling distance is equal to or longer than a first distance threshold, the server performs re-sampling to interpolate data in such a manner that sampling positions located at a second sampling distance and unsprung mass member displacements of the respective sampling positions exist so as to produce re-sampled data-for-producing-map. The server stores a sub-sectional unsprung mass displacement in a storage area corresponding to a sub-section of the road surface information map, based on the re-sampled data-for-producing-map.
Electronically controlled external damper reservoir
An electronically controller external damper reservoir assembly (eRESI) can be connected to a passive damper and/or substituted for an existing external reservoir to provide semi-active damping control. The eRESI includes a reservoir and a variable base valve assembly actuated by an actuator. A controller is in communication with the actuator and a sensor providing input signal indicative of vehicle movement and is programmed to generate a damping control signal to the actuator based on the input signal, to dynamically control the damping force outputted by a passive damper hydraulically connected to the eRESI. A P/T sensor can be installed to a gas chamber of a vehicle damper to generate a P/T signal indicative of the pressure and temperature of the gas. The controller is programmed to determine a damper position of the damper based on the P/T signal.
SUSPENSION WITH HYDRAULIC PRELOAD ADJUST
A shock absorber for a vehicle having a damper and a first and second springs mounted coaxially around the damper and a preload adjuster for partially compressing at least one of the springs independently of the compression stroke. In one embodiment the preload adjuster is remotely controllable. In another embodiment the shock absorber includes an additional mechanism for preloading at least one of the springs.
RELATIVE VELOCITY BASED ACTUATOR VELOCITY CALIBRATION SYSTEM
A milling machine has a frame, ground engaging tracks that support the frame, a first actuator connecting the frame to a first track of the ground engaging tracks and a second actuator connecting the frame to a second track from the ground engaging tracks. The milling machine has an orientation sensor that determines an orientation of the frame. The milling machine has a controller that operates the first and second actuators to raise or lower the frame. The controller determines the frame orientation using the orientation sensor. The controller also determines a velocity error between actuator velocities of the first and second actuators based on the frame orientation and a target orientation of the frame. The controller determines a control parameter for the second actuator based on the velocity error and operates the second actuator using the determined control parameter.
